Did you actually read my first post in this thread? I didn't say that using a 3 jaw puller was the preferred method... I said it works in some cases... basically proceed at your own risk. Just for giggles, I'll quote myself: On 11/2/2022 at 1:41 PM, Snoopy11 said: I personally have had good luck with a plain old 3 jaw puller, but you risk destroying the pulley. Best to go with a HB puller... I don't think I need to say anything more... Don
Thor27 832 #27 Posted November 14, 2022 Don, that is not the post I quoted from. Did you not say what I quoted? I am still curious where they rent pullers for $70?

The $70 was my local Autozone's fee, last I looked into it to rent the HB puller from them. Once you return the tool, you get that deposit back, to my understanding. I decided that I wanted to BUY a tool that I could keep, so I bought a full kit... I think the brand I bought was a Powerbuilt kit... Don
Thor27 832 #29 Posted November 15, 2022 IMHO, I agree it's always better to buy quality tools, the $16 figure came from the jungle site
