Bens vintage tractors 1,542 #31 Posted November 7, 2022 For anyone wondering.. magnum 18 in a c series. Still has the rubber mounting set up so the air cleaner doesn’t quite clear the hood. Steve and I were looking at an engine shroud he'd brought in comparison to my own 75 C160 Automatic. It looked like it would just fit. Battery will have to be sent out somewhere else. ebinmaine 67,472 #35 Posted November 25, 2022 To update this thread and for the future reference of others: Yes, it can be done. ..... With some sheet metal modifications. The fore n aft centerline of the crankshaft appears close enough. The vertical centerline however is different. The KT17 twin engine vert C is approximately ¾ to 1" higher than the K341 single cylinder. This would require a custom belt guard. You can see the difference in the two guards in the zoomed and color noted areas below. Note that the upper section of the belt guard is much longer on the twin engine tractor. See the blue stripe. The exhaust of a stock equipped KT17 is also an interference. Note the pic second above in which the pipes clear the hood by an inch or more. A Wheelhorse muffler and its heat shield would require the hood of an older tractor to be modified. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
