dmoore 774 #1 Posted October 30, 2022 (edited) So I ran into an old friend of mine at one of our local car shows a couple weeks ago where I had my 64 854 on display. We started talking about this and that when he looked at my tractor and said I have one of these at the house. He said it was probably older but wasn't sure exactly. He said it looked a bit older than mine with no hood. Well that sparked my interest right away thinking it could be a Pond. I told him I wanted to look at it and took his number. I called him yesterday to see if I could come look at it, he agreed. I drove to his place this morning to find this in his small junkyard of stuff. Of course the engine is not the original and someone along the way added some width to the front end by welding spindles along side the kingpin holes. Is this one of the first 4 wheel Shaw tractors? Far as I'm aware lever steer of any brand is very early and becoming less and less common. Given the chance to own one I'd certainly consider it. 4 minutes ago, Sparky said: Those military tires on the rear are so coooool Absolutely agreed.
dmoore 774 #8 Posted October 30, 2022 I guess I need to know how hard it would be to find the correct Briggs ZZ and any other parts it may need. Yes, The rear military tires are cool. .
dmoore 774 #9 Posted October 30, 2022 (edited) The drive engagement method (clutch) I thought very primitive. Edited October 30, 2022 by dmoore
