@stevasaurus You would have to teach me how to use Skype and I would end looking like a squonk.

Follow the instructions on this page to remove OneLaunch from your computer.

  1. Open the Start menu by clicking the Start button 1._Windows_Start_Button.png, usually located in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
  2. Type “uninstall” on your keyboard.
  3. In the results, under “Best match”, click “Add or remove programs”.
  4. In the newly opened window, scroll downwards until you find OneLaunch.
  5. Click OneLaunch, then click “Uninstall”, then click the new “Uninstall” option.
  6. If Windows asks for permission for OneLaunch to make changes to your computer, click “Yes”.
  7. OneLaunch will ask if you’re sure you want to uninstall. Click “Yes” to uninstall, or “No” to cancel uninstallation.
  8. Once OneLaunch has finished uninstalling, click “OK”.
  9. You may need to restart your computer to restore your systems settings.

I've found that a lot of those manual download sites have multiple buttons that say "DOWNLOAD" and the 'real' download is typically in fine print.  The others are decoys that put garbage on your computer.  You need to pay attention that you don't click the wrong button!

Could you imagine spending an hour on Skype with Waldo ? We'd end up out in the street playing in traffic! :auto-swerve:

I'm not sure why the people that have manuals have to put them on "mirror" sites. As Jeff said, all they do is confuse you as to which download button is the real one. Even then you have to wonder if something isn't loading in the background. I guess the owner of the manual gets money for each "wrong" thing that is clicked on and downloaded. I frequently go to my control panel, click on programs, and if I see anything that I don't recognize, I remove it. With that in mind, I'm glad that RedSquare doesn't use mirror sites to download manuals.

To my knowledge OneLaunch is not harmful . It is a legitimate program. As suggested by others you downloaded it by neglecting to read all the download options carefully and got stuck with it. Easy to remove with no harm done as @953 nut suggested.
A good lesson for next time. Could have been real bad .
