Docwheelhorse 2,660 #1 Posted October 24, 2022 Hello All, I'm posting here as I think more eyeballs will see it versus the "wanted" section of the classifieds... if the admins want to move it I understand. My 953 has 16x6.50x8 front rims with the full tapered roller bearings. I swear I've seen narrow front rims for the 953 out there... I have narrow rear tires and really would like 4.80 x 8 fronts... Anybody have a set of rims and tires or just rims they would part with? I'd be more than willing to pay shipping---that's if they actually exist and i'm not all confused to heck. Thanks in Advance Tony

You might want to measure the rim width to be sure. A 4.8x8 might just fit your stock wheels..
Pullstart 62,905 #4 Posted October 24, 2022 I’ve got no reason to believe these are not stock wheels.. The tires are 4.80/4.00-8

Skwerl58 704 #8 Posted October 24, 2022 My 1054 has narrow ones and they need replaced. When I get rims I am going with thin rims and tri rib tires because it has ags on the rear and this combo looks good.
953 nut 55,285 #9 Posted October 25, 2022 All 953, 1054 and 1045-A front rims were WH part number 3369. The inside bead width is about 3 3/4" and overall width of just under 5".
Lee1977 6,663 #10 Posted October 26, 2022 I used WH trailer wheels that were 3" wide with 400x 8 trieibs. The hubs were 4 1/2" had to cut 3/4" off to get the to fit on the 312. It's a worker so I cut the out side to get the front track wider.
JPWH 6,039 #11 Posted October 27, 2022 I removed the 6.5 from the wheels cleaned them up and installed 4 tri rib.
wallfish 17,010 #12 Posted October 27, 2022 What size are the spindles on that tractor? If they're 1" you can buy a set of trailer 4.80-8s rims and tires with the roller bearings and seal for $20 each https://www.surpluscenter.com/New-Arrivals/4-80-8-Wanda-Trailer-Wheel-Tire-Assembly-1-5711.axd They ran out of the Carlise tires on rims which I did put on a snow machine 520 but also bought a couple sets of these too for other tractors. 3/4" spindles can be converted to 1" with DOM tube. 3/4 ID x 1" OD and a small ring of 1" ID x 1 1/2" OD for the inner seal. But, they need to have a threaded hole in the end existing or added to hold the bearings.

I assume the same for GT14? @19richie66? @PeacemakerJack and I were just talking about front tires for Blackbeard, Zach’a GT14 yesterday
19richie66 17,508 #15 Posted October 27, 2022 I believe they are the same.
953 nut 55,285 #16 Posted October 28, 2022 Yes, the 953/1054/GT-14 all share the same front spindles. The GT-14 hubs are offset and the rims are wider but could be used on the 953/1054.
