ri702bill 8,327 #3 Posted October 23, 2022 The C Clamp on the left seems to be in good condition, and has a fine pitch screw to boot. If the files are a name brand like Nicholson, good score if they are OLD. Nicholson File used to manufacture in Providence, RI - later East Providence for decades. Not anymore..... The Monkey Wrench and the Open End Spanner, though useful, make great wall art. Can't see the name of the C Clamp on the right - doesn't matter - it looks sprung where the pad on the screw will not align properly to the frame... But you got your $20 worth with the rest.... I'm always looking for old usa made tools.Im just learning some of the old bran names and such. The lady unfortunately lost her husband recently and was selling off some of his tools. She had many more I would have picked up but I didn't bring enough cash.Sad thing is she told me what she couldn't sell was going to scrap yard for the metal

Remind her of what Bill said above. Also remind her that scrap value is down. Perhaps you can strike a better deal on more items and save them from the recycling. 1
