953 nut 55,121 #2 Posted October 21, 2022 Thank you for asking in advance. It is important to chase the threads in your spindle with a tap before inserting the bolts so you get an accurate reading. Also, it is best to replace the steel bolts with Stainless Steel fasteners. If you are using grade 5 steel bolts, 5/16" the proper torque is 15 foot pounds, if they are 3/8" it will be 25 foot pounds. With Stainless Steel the torques would be 11 and 20 respectively. What type of fastener is best for aluminum?
