Horse Hauler or Horse Haulin?

Recommended Posts

bmsgaffer

Just had to stop in and say hi and post a pic of my 'daily driver' horse putting in some work on my latest acquisition, Sure Trac 18ft 10k car hauler.

The 525exi (522xi) moved it up my driveway hill without too much issue to park it along side the house.

It may get to haul a horse from time to time, but i am pretty happy with my 3 horses. The XI needs some bushings and a light overhaul this fall along with some serious snow plow reinforcement.

The trailer was actually bought to haul the fixer upper econo daily driver (2011 Subaru outback) to the various repair shops so i can stop driving my fun vehicle.

Keep and eye on those rear hub on that xi. All the ones I have worked hard, had rear hub key issues. All good if you catch it before the shaft keyway is shot or the shaft has worn from the hub moving on the shaft.

I use a witness mark now on the hubs as a visual check every now and then.

I was able to save this one by cutting out the key to 5/16 on the shaft the using a step key and new hub.
