These rims were pretty clean, but I was fighting old stuck tires and the sidewalls kept collapsing. pacer 3,160 #6 Posted October 18, 2022 I picked up this tip from ---- somewhere? I have the larger one of HF's tire changer and was having a fit trying to 'break' the tire loose from the rim. So, somewhere I heard to apply heat around the area of where the bead was -- propane, whatever - I used my oxy/acet and by golly it really made a difference. Sure, but most times the rim is off one of those "yeah, that ole tractors out back in the pasture!" kind and gonna need paint anyway.
