Blasterdad 2,692 #1 Posted October 13, 2022 Brought these home Monday... Like new. Brought this home Tuesday, my first twin Kohler !!! Snowblower, another set of wheel weights, chains, Trac Vac, & caution lights... I was lucky enough to get the series II Kohler 17 with fuel injection.... Also came with one Maypop tire, I would like to find one for the other side to match but I think they went out of business, if anyone has a line on a good used Maypop let me know... Now for today, the ever elusive C-111 Mustang II edition, with equally rare low rpm backwards rotating 36" rd deck, Lol. My first Tecky!!!... & another snowblower. 13 4

wh500special 2,183 #4 Posted October 13, 2022 That’s quite a week so far. The engine in the C triple one is actually a Briggs. With the roll you’re on you’ll have your first Tecumseh by Friday. If I was a betting person I’d wager that fuel injection badge was from an Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera. Steve

I thought it looked like a Briggs carb setup, she is fresh off the trailer, I haven't even looked her over yet, I just guessed it was a Tecky, I'm a Kohler guy, but yes original Briggs engine! Blasterdad 2,692 #12 Posted October 14, 2022 Thursday....Decided I have more than enough Horses to keep me busy for a while. Put a battery in the 417 & she fired up instantly & purred like a kitten. 711 hours on the clock & came with original bill of sale, manuals, brochures, & service records from 1986 to present. She spent her whole life at the same estate & was well cared for but her frame finally cracked at the tranny, easy fix & will be 3/8 plate, back & sides this time. The Trac Vac started on the second pull & ran great also, It also came with the original manual & bill of sale for the new Honda engine. It will have a new home on the C-120. I didn't have time to mess with the 111 but she will be in the shop soon...
Tuneup 1,433 #13 Posted October 14, 2022 Gee, the north is just littered with Wheel Horsey! Scraps down here. My vote for the fuel injection badge is a Pontiac Fiero. It just came to me. I like the blowdown feature on the no-cut deck.

Two to restore - maybe that's the real reason. Was just lucky to get that 520 with the 48 - two birds/one stone.
c-series don 8,707 #16 Posted October 15, 2022 @Tuneup Saying you’ve treated the Wheel Horse virus through marriage to one of the funniest things I’ve heard in weeks! I can totally relate. Even though I have around 18-20 I surely would have more if I didn’t have someone saying “Enough is enough this is ridiculous!” And then there’s the ole’ “ You said you weren’t going to buy anymore tractors “ I really thought she was going to kill me last year when I bought my 420-LSE with 18 original hours in it. I or should I say we! Had to travel from Long Island to Ohio to get it. I then told her that I have reached the pinnacle of Wheel Horse collecting with that tractor and that was enough. However I just found out about a Ride-Away Senior that’s going to be for sale not even 30 miles from me, oh no ! When’s it going to end?……………

I’ll wait for your miraculous recovery, but in the sad event it doesn’t occur, I’ll give that Senior a good home in Texas with lots of pasture space. While it may seem far for me, I have a rare opportunity to collect it with a son working in Jersey for the Fall. He could bring it home to me for Christmas.
Blasterdad 2,692 #19 Posted October 16, 2022 Friday New fuel pump on the C-120, Wheel Horse was kind enough to provide an extra hole in the Tach-A-Matic plate in the perfect spot. Saturday Welded up cracked axle mount & bolted up the Trac Vac, notched out the swing arm bracket, it was hitting the air filter assembly & knocking it sideways. What a Monster, I don't think I'm going to like it, the exhaust vent is right behind your head, will probably have to wear a respirator & Tyvek suit, Lol, doesn't look like it holds very much, & the lid is kind of a PITA... ( the manual makes it look easy of course ) Oh well, I'll try it out tomorrow after work. At least I'll get some seat time Sunday
Blasterdad 2,692 #20 Posted October 25, 2022 (edited) Today's haul, (Monday) Had a little time before the road trip to investigate the C-111 from last Monday's haul. Step 1. Get rid of Herman the Vermins' house. Step 2. Clean up flywheel & check for spark. Step 3. Get out the squirt bottle of gas & light her up, another runner ! Sounded good, no smoke or noises.
