Momentary Switch?

Recommended Posts

T-Mo

This was on my Farmall Cub to kill the engine.  I believe it's a momentary switch.  When the button was pushed in, the tractor shut off.  The button broke off and now doesn't work.  Where can I find another like it?  It has a 9/16 thread on it.  I would prefer to replace it with one similar.

Tractor bone yard comes to mind first you want to stay orginal.

Did you try Google Cub kill switch just for the halibut?

Also check with Steiner tractor or all states ag parts.

It's not original equipment, but an add on.  It's been working fine until now.  I haven't ran across one like it, yet, so any leads would be appreciated.

Steiner will have one then but it will be a push pull type.

Electric/electronic supply houses will have momentary ones.

The original was a push/pull type.  The original starter would have been a switch on the starter with a rod going back to the dash that you pull.  The original would have been 6V system, this one has been made over to a 12V system with a key switch that just starts the tractor and not to kill it.  This switch that I need was the mechanism to kill the engine.  I think I found a suitable replacement on Amazon.

I've got a 'CUT' Mitsubishi diesel and most .... all? of the diesels have a spring loaded position on the ign switch to use for the 'pre heat' coils to help with cold starts..... well, I had a 50° morning the other day and the coils didnt work/come on and she spun much longer than longer usual. So, to keep from tearing all the dash out only to find the ign switch was "NOL" (like a lotta WH parts!) I went to Mr Google and did some research and found a common toggle switch for $10, that was 'momentary on'. It came in yesterday so I'm gonna mount it somewhere convenient this morning.

Picked this box of switches up at a garage sale for 5 bucks. Has a few push button switches in it. If you can't find one let me know. You can try one of these.
