Any suggestions on how to plaster this back to make it look as best it can?

a heat gun

But be careful with the heat, too much and the label will wither and shrink.  Just warm it up is all!

Jimmy,  you know we have a vendor here that produces EXCELLENT repro decals, yes?

I understand if you want to keep the rust though... a brand new decal would look pretty silly.

It's already to brittle to save IMO. Warming it up might help but once you mess with it, it will probably look worse than it does now.  :twocents-02cents:

Maybe patina new decals ?

Vinyl guy also produces new decals with a “aged cracked look”. They may not be shown on the web site, butI think he can do it to any designs he currently has.

Don't know how it's going to stick to the rust.

:text-yeahthat:                    If you want to give a new decal a weathered look prior to application you could work it over lightly with a wire brush along the edges.

Some tractors are just begging for a can of paint and new decals, I think that this is one.

I think new decals on original patina can look good at times. A hairdryer or heat gun will peel those old decals off clean as a whistle. 47C27A04-F267-4F49-B960-2D925546E12B.jpeg.6de7ab6477802f326953ee04ad906bba.jpegD378256C-4EEF-4C4E-A48A-69232568EC17.jpeg.7a409f7a35ec34e45006aec8f05a2cb7.jpeg
