06-42BC01 42” plow on a C-120?

Does anyone have a C series (not black hood) with a 42” plow?  I’m trying to verify this fits and only have a C-85 to compare to before shipping the plow.  I want to make sure for the buyer’s sake that it’ll work!

*edit* I believe my issue making it work is the rear axle bracket.  I’m using one for a tiller I think. It has a cross bar on the front interfering with the plow frame.

I have a 42” plow on my 1974 C160 Auto. Fits/Works great.  I had to bend the quadrant lever slightly as it was hitting the foot rest. I’m under the impression that’s fairly common.

Agreed except mine's an 8 speed.

Cinnamon Horse. 1974 C160. Had a 42" plow when I got it.

I got to thinking last night.  The bracket on that axle is fitted to work as a mount for the GT14 fenders and sheet metal.  The front crossbar wasn’t allowing the plow to sit flat.  It’s tilted to the left, making more interference on the right.  The things that come to you with your head on a pillow!

Tractors don't really care if it's a 42 or 48. Long frame plows are pretty much the same. There are some different bent angle levers. Where you run into  issues are the axle brackets. I run a std. long frame plow on my 953. I had an axle bracket that the ears engaged the plow frame on the outer sides. Was a real pain to put on. I found another bracket that looked identical except the ears engaged the frame on the inside edge. Made all the difference

I don't think I knew there was any differences along the years....

Not a big deal. Just for curiosity. I don't suppose you have any pictures?

Next time I get "sent to the shed" I'll get one.

I have no idea where that bigger axle bracket came from. It must have been on something I bought.IMG_20221003_095251113.jpg.10e9c2b8c8a564bc71bb46912e103907.jpg

Top one in the photo looks like the early hitch that bolted to the front of the axle housing.

Are the notches in the sides or ends of the angle iron pieces?

No notches. It's also a lot heavier.
