Cleaned My Seat With the Wrong Stuff

Recommended Posts

hotajax

Seat looked filthy so I hit it up with some Meguiars Trim Conditioner ( for cars ).  Now the seat is too slippery, especially trying to stay on the seat going down hill, or on the side of a hill.  Any ideas what will take this stuff off?  Oh yeah, it made the seat look great, but try staying in it safely.  Thanks

I would try non pumice hand cleaner D-L. Then wipe with Armour All CLEANING pad.

Squonk:  I appreciate the advice, but wouldn't the Armor All make it all slick again?

The cleaner won't. Its the protector that's slippery.

@Wheel Horse 3D had that problem once.  Grey what did you end up doing other than the white paper towel fiasco?

Mine was a flex seal induced fiasco. Pretty much the opposite problem, sticky rather than slick. Would have worked great 'cept fir some reason didnt cure right. Some spots were ideal. Maybe can not shaken well enough? Once i wore enough of the sticky suff off its good now lol.

I would be tempted to put on a pair of cowboy boots and cowboy hat along with a camouflage red thong and super glue 60 grit sand paper to my buttocks along with a cigar hanging in the mouth and a can of beer in one hand.

Now that sounds alot like something the sweet boys from Philadelphia would do.  And be proud of it.

No worries the slippery silicone or whatever they use will wear off on your jeans faster then you think......

I used to Armor-All the passenger side of the bench seat in my old Galaxie before I went on dates.

A quick right turn would put a pretty girl durn near in your lap!

Just simple dishwashing soap for cleaning the seat? I'm assuming the seatcover is just vinyl?

Should clean up good.

Little dirt in the palm will take care of the seat.
