OldWorkHorse 3,045 #1 Posted September 25, 2022 Looking to replace / update my OG wheel horse seat on my 1997 wheel horse 314-8. Just wondering what some people have replaced there's with or what they like and why. Thanks!
Pullstart 62,851 #2 Posted September 25, 2022 That one looks pretty comfy. Any reason for wanting a new one? I seem to prefer an old steel pan, unless I’m holding a kid. Then, a high back is the way to go! Arm rests are even better! 3
OldWorkHorse 3,045 #3 Posted September 25, 2022 That's a nice seat! And I have a small child that loves rides so nice high back a good idea. And just don't look up to par with the rest of machine and the seat under the cover is cracked and beat up good seat but looking to finish up the tractor with a nice new seat
OldWorkHorse 3,045 #5 Posted September 25, 2022 Might need a wheelie bar if I mount that on it but that would be comfortable. 1
Achto 27,571 #6 Posted September 25, 2022 This seat seems to work well on 's low profile on the seat keeps things from getting tight between the steering wheel and the seat. https://www.amazon.com/Garden-Tractor-Black-Polyurethane-11500BK01UN/dp/B0000AXF8Y/ref=asc_df_B0000AXF8Y/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=309820225415&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=6402004736905822691&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9019452&hvtargid=pla-570247519149&psc=1 These are not too bad either. https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/black-talon-deluxe-high-back-steel-pan-seat?store=1856&cid=Shopping-Google-Local_Feed&utm_medium=Google&utm_source=Shopping&utm_campaign=&utm_content=Local_Feed&gclid=CjwKCAjw-L-ZBhB4EiwA76YzObJkNGViItNZLqA2L-6T3z8F-vGcv2yUskqQ-Ba4r5g1U-wUBMwnABoCszUQAvD_BwE 2 1
ebinmaine 67,484 #7 Posted September 25, 2022 Steve look at boat seats too. Some of the folks down types are quite comfortable and convenient. 2
CCW 1,295 #8 Posted September 26, 2022 One of the things I would consider with a new seat is how you mount the tractor. Do you step through or swing your leg over the seat. I tend to swing my leg over thus making a high back seat a problem. 3

Seat on my Cinnamon Horse C160. I swing over sometimes. Wouldn't be possible with a high back. 1
Racinbob 11,077 #10 Posted September 26, 2022 Here's a couple options. My favorite is the seat on the 76. The seat on the 05 is OK but I removed the arm rests. I liked them fine but for a while I had no choice but to mow on some pretty steep inclines. I wanted the ability to make a hasty exit if something would happen. The 76 seat is comfortable, reasonably priced and readily available. It's what will go on the 05 should I need a new one. 2
OldWorkHorse 3,045 #11 Posted September 26, 2022 @ebinmaine, do you still have cinnamon horse seat on the steel frame you made? Thinking of doing somthing like that to get a little more adjusting out of the seat position. Just can't remember how it was completely set up.

I don't have it adjustable but it could be done with proper seat tracks.
