They did - that appears to be a mid 1960's 42 inch plow, like on Dad's 702.

Is that really a 502??? Maybe a 552? I see an electric starter and battery like a 552, but no ammeter - it has the correct 502 kill switch in the 2" round plug in the dash.....

Maybe the battery is only there for the lights??

@Pullstart, @squonk Notice too how the plow mounts in the rear - not with a quick attach rear axle bracket, but rather loosely bolted to the lower holes in the sides of the "F" plate gussets...

Saw one of these locally on a bought new in 1963 model 603 tractor that was a dedicated plow tractor all its life...

Was wondering what that dash switch was all about. Maybe a repo then with that motor so not an orginal. So that means a guy could drop a 161 or a 181 in it without feeling guilty about messing up an orginal.

Never ever felt guilty for upgrading one of those tractors to a Kohler engine. Actually felt pretty good to have them be able to start and run! LoL

I saw one of them for sale on a 702 once. The rear axle brackets were bolted to the plow frame with a single bolt on each side and then had the std. 2 bolts and plate to connect it to the axle. Had the foot pedal tang thingy to release the angle sector and the little shifter and black knob to adj the angle. I didn't think it was a WH plow at first. I believe I've seen 3 in the wild now.

I don't think there are any repro dash plugs and ground switches - what you have does look like my 502. Am I seeing an ignition switch at the bottom of the hood stand - 552 would have one, 502 not.

You do have the correct 2 piece leak prone gas tank there found on the 502 and 552 - fixable if it leaks. 702 had the one piece aluminum tank and the removable bolt on cast iron dash.

this is the 1962.  BD-4262. Snowplow made for 702.   I have one.     
 

Here it is on my 854.   The right hand lever is nice and the pedal real eases the pivot point for the blade upfront.

A seller on the bay has been selling Hole Covers. They look identical to A 2” conduit hole cover.

I am definitely intrigued by the pedal pin release. Have no real need for a plow (not enough snow or other work). A grader, though, that might be useful (short frame style)
