Snoop ya doing good on this mo-sheen.

Hey thanks!

I bought 2 new flat idler pulleys for the deck. Dixie Chopper 30224 part number.

Now I just need a v-idler that I'll have to find the part number for.

V-Groove idler pulley part: Dixie Chopper 9895 now on order. :banana-rock:

EDIT: I was just going to repack the old pulleys... but decided to go ahead and buy new. Might as well make an almost 40 year old mower last another 40... :hide:

Total, I now have 6 parts on order... 2 of which will be surprise pieces (hint... it's going to look REALLY :wicked: )

I have new belts in stock... and I have a bit of oil... (I'll get some more and change the oil in the hydros coming up).

Still so much work to come... :P

I did notice that the engine is a touch skewed to the West... so I'll adjust that before I continue with other things on the machine.  :banana-dance:

Got the front end wiring done. I used some waterproof plugs that I had laying around so I can easily remove the upper body panel from the mower when necessary.

Additionally, the upper body panel has gotten additional work, the front decal has been removed... holes drilled for the headlight wires to go THROUGH the metal, instead of running across the front of the machine. It will be much cleaner. (I'll get some pictures of that once the paint dries if it ever does)...

Deck is under the machine for now... just waiting on new pulleys now.

Most of the wiring that runs down the frame of the machine is virtually invisible. That was in the plan. Pretty sweet considering the ridiculous amount of wires that go from the front of the machine to the midsection and back.

Last, but not least, I bought a v-groove idler pulley (5 inch) from tractor supply to match the other idler pulley I replaced. :)

I guess all the pulleys are going to be new now...  :P

New pulleys on rear (sorry for the bit of dust on the hitch area... when I removed the old air filter, dirt and leaves went flying):

Obscure band from the 70s, not for everyone, there's a bit of a "cringe factor" at times on the vocals, you had to be there I guess.

AND the ducks won't come in from the pond. Looks like they will be sleeping outside...

You bet it is! I got it mounted today.

Hadda cut the side mounts off the original seat bracket...

Well, this is the surprise that I have been waiting/working on.

@Achto... you know how that muffler was rattling on the inside?

Well, I wanted to go with a dune buggy look, something to that effect.

I'll cut the chitter-chatter and show some pictures:

To me, that looks stellar. Exactly what I wanted. :banana-rock:

I haven't started the engine yet to see how it sounds. It will probably be louder than stock... not that I care about that. :P

Deck got a new idler pulley yesterday along with a new belt. I bought my belts exclusively from v-belt guys. They have the correct belts for this machine and I didn't have to pay an arm and leg to get them!

Next time I go to the hardware store (going to be sometime this week)... I will buy some steel tubing in preparation to make a cage frame around the engine to protect it. :banana-dance:
