Bagger mount weight bracket completed
Ifixoldjunk posted a topic in Restorations, Modifications, & Customizations
So I finally got around to finishing my custom bagger mount weight bracket conversion. It seems to hold weight really well. all that really went into it was a few pieces of steel tubing and a hunk of bar steel. The long bolts I used came with the weight off amazon. A Briggs and Stratton 50 pounder. I’d like to eventually find a nice cast weight, but for now this works great! -
Plowing snow. How about your tips, tricks and advice?
ebinmaine posted a topic in Wheel Horse Tractors
I know this subject has been covered multiple times over the years. We have a lot of new members and many of us like to refresh ourselves too. Please feel free to post links to old posts as well. So what can you share with everyone about plowin' the White stuff?? Common things like what tires and weights. Why you prefer a certain tractor. (Please Be kind to others as we have different needs and opinions). What orange/amber lights are required by your local officials while in the road? How much space do you save for future snow piles? Is there anything you found that was unplanned for that the rest of us should know? Whatever you can / care to share..... -
Can anyone tell me if 23 10.50 12 Wheel Weights will work on 23 9.50 12 wheels?

I thought this was novel! Certainly new to me. They are on a decent 953 but know nothing more about it.

There's another thread on here talking about tires used in snow removal, Mike (Sparky) mentioned that the turf tires work better. That threw me for a loop but you guys know better than me, I haven't used any of this equipment yet. I have a steep hill that comes up to my place and I have chains but I would rather not use them if possible,(unless there is ice underneath I will have no choice). The drive and lot is all blacktop. I will be puting a snow blower on one tractor and a plow on another. I also have a few sets of 50lb each weights, and some 20lb each front weights. What have you guys found to be the best combination to use?
