Very strong hydro on B100 automatic. Long story short, I fell off tractor, it ran against wall and keep working for several seconds before I was able shut it off. Now major hydro leak. Feedback on transmission prognosis and repairability please. Btw, I suffered skinned knee and jammed shoulder. Lol

I have a leak on the elbow that screws into the front of the lift valve. Does anyone know how that is sealed? I looked at parts tree at it doesn't show an o-ring or seal? The elbow is Toro part number 108365. Part #1 on the diagram. Thanks for the help. https://www.partstree.com/parts/toro/mowers-lawn-garden-tractor/73403-314-h-toro-314-h-garden-tractor-sn-6900001-6999999-1996/hydraulic-lift-system_2/

Hello all, I have inherited a 74 B100 with 10hp K241S 46636d when my father passed away. I remembered this tractor new, so when asked, I wanted it. It runs and mows, however, the engine slows and speeds up randomly. I left it running and lifted the hood. 1st thing I noticed was a loose plug wire, fiddled with it and she spurred up to max rpm. But that only worked randomly as well.(will replace wire soon). 2nd and possibly most importantly I noticed a MASSIVE amount of air/exhaust coming out of the "FIN" area (see pic) Forgive me but, is this normal? I mean it feels like a high powered fan. Any other thoughts on Idle speed random variations would be much appreciated.

Transmission Leaking in my '89 312-8 (21-12K806)
DISISIT13 posted a topic in Transmissions and transaxles
Ok so this is my first venture into transmissions in general. I am fairly new to the maintenance side of the wheel horse as well. My '89 312-8 has been in the family for a decade and a half, and I've just gained full ownership and honestly am tickled pink. I noticed that the inside of my left rear tire has been wet with fluid the last two times that I've mowed the grass. I drained the old fluid from the plug (1/4" allen key) right by the hitch, and refilled it with SAE 90 GL5. It then became extremely apparent where my leak was coming from. I know that there are at least two seals that need replaced, and I am definitely replacing the shift boot while I am at it, but I'm having trouble identifying which seals exactly I need to order because there are several different numbers listed (100863, 114677, 100443, or 6449). http://www.toro.com/en-us/parts/Pages/PartsDetails.aspx?mybeid=1706&serialNumber=None&modelNumber=21-12K806&searchTerm=9lzIRv+p5zedZ5sKqyyATtyjaDG176I4PGPf6fmEm91hsAXYhs36Km5LhfWUjtL7KmlQpvDuEmQ=&defaultTab=parts#toro-parts-lookup-tabs. (Mechanical Transmission, 8-Speed Page) After acquiring the right parts, I need some guidance in replacing them, I haven't the slightest idea how this thing comes apart. Does anyone have any tips or guidance for me before I start taking this thing apart? Thank you for your time. -Donnie- 36 replies
