I know I have sorta hi-jacked @PeacemakerJack's "let's go plowing/rolling dirt" thread with my gardening madness so I'll start it over here with some pics of the progress I have made so far and as planting and growing season continues... I also encourage any other RS member who is preparing a garden this year to contribute to this thread as well like @Greentored, @Andy N., @ZXT, ect so here it goes...from sinking a plow in the ground to tilling and discing to bringing over all of dad's sleeve hitch gardening implements to making rows and planting potatoes and onions today at the in-laws plot. Will update as things proceed like planting other veggies and maintaining plants and soil/weed control ect.

Hi WH'ers; This may not belong in this section, but here goes. I've got tons of road gravel sitting on the bank of my roadside ditch due to snow plows. More than you can imagine, because last fall the town spread gravel (regular crushed limestone) on my road. The problem is, my road is asphalt (actually, tar and chip), but in such bad shape it was repaired with gravel. Of course, the gravel never packed down over the asphalt that was still intact, enabling the first plow pass to entirely push the gravel onto the bank of the roadside ditch. The ditch is too steep to drive my tractor, so I cannot scrape it out with the dozer blade on my 310-8 (did this on some parts not so steep). Nearly 300 feet of the ditch and lots of rock, so too much to rake by hand. Any ideas?

I see youtube videos of smaller garden tractors tossing around the 36" Brinly-Hardy disc harrow style discs but has anyone used anything bigger? It may be a stupid question or bad thing to do but I'm just curious. I'm thinking a 520 could theoretically be made to run a hydraulic line set out the back to lift and lower a larger disc. I don't see any reason why with some wheel weights and Ag tires it wouldn't be able to pull a larger disc. I'm not thinking anything huge but maybe a small double gang disc, something in the 4-5' range after taking the outer plates off of a 6' unit?
