Good day, I recently bought a 73 G14 garden tractor with the HH140 Tecumseh that had been sitting for almost 2 years. After I did a complete fluid change and charged the battery without any success of starting I discovered it had no spark. Searching the net I found some trouble shooting info and I am at a loss right now, but think it is my stator that requires to be changed. Can someone help with confirming this or maybe I am missing something. I did a few readings which I think confirms that the coil is good: Ground to spark plug wire was 5.23K omhs the wire clip (for the wire to the stator) to ground was 2.3M ohms spark plug wire to clip was 2.3M ohms Ground to the wire from the stator was .5K ohms (disconnected from coil) Voltage on that stator wire when turning over was 36.1VAC and then I cleaned it and now is 48.1VAC ( I believe it has to be at least 55VAC) Thoughts??
