Front mount mower deck belt rubbing on idler spring

Would anyone know why my belt it running on my idler spring. Will it chew up the belt? -
I picked up this front mower deck carriage yesterday for $60. It needed casters in the front and so I made yolks and everything works good. I just have to make the middle mule drive and should be using it in a couple days. I figured for $60 I would take a chance.
