Starting this here even though I am close to completing it. Just wanted to show that if you buy a nice running tractor, with just a few dollars you can bring it back to looking as nice as it runs. I purchased this a few weeks ago. It was bought new by the family and was passed down from father to son, to brother. The last brother wanted to buy something newer. The 416-8 was scalping his lawn and didnt want to deal with it. I paid him and loaded it into my truck. At the time I didnt have a place to keep it so I brought the tractor to a friends house and the deck to my house. The deck I scrapped the underside, wasnt bad but had a rope wrapped around all the blades. Took the blades off. Took the guards off. Scrapped and sanded the top for painting. I noticed the leveling rod was broke, figured thats why it was scalping the grass. Ordered new rod and decal kit for the 48 inch deck.
