    Tractor vs. Implement cross reference chart for models from 1955 - 2000 110 pages 513.43KB This chart lists the original attachment model The model that replaced the original model The model that was available when the list was made Often many models between the last two are not listed. You must go from year to year and follow the model numbers to see them all. For a complete list of models click on the magnifying glass in the Search box. Enter DNA in the Search box and select Files from the drop down menu. Two pages of 33 results will come up in random order. Find the attachment you are looking for and click on it. The DNA for that model of attachment will come up. Look for the model of your attachment in the DNA list. They are organized from earliest to latest. OR Search the Files using a model number you know will work. Look through the results for DNA in another file name for the same item. That will have the full list of models. STD for a model indicates that attachment was standard equipment that came on that model of tractor. Mistakes in the online attachment list @ Toro.   2. I have a large dirt leveling & shaping project coming up down the road. Seat time! I need to be able to loosen up high areas to push them around to level and improve drainage of a 100 ft x 150 ft back yard. The soil is sandy/clay granite gravel. It has enough clay in it to be very hard when very dry, but will dig fairly easily when damp. So I'm starting to think about how to install a tiller and dozer blade on my C-160 at the same time. I wish I could even mount the Tiller and a Center Mount Grader Blade at the same time. But I suspect the blade would hit the front wheels when angled since it would be mounted forward of its normal position, or it would hit the front tiller pulley? One idea I'm thinking of essentially making a double rear axle hitch, one in front of the other. The tiller would mount in the rear mount under the axle in the normal positionn so the pulleys would be in the correct location so the belt length would not change. The dozer blade wound mount in the forward mount, and its lift link would have to be a custom length. I'm thinking I need to make some type of support bracket from each side of the front mount that would mount to the frame. The forward mount would also have to be spaced forward enough so the end of the dozer blade arms would not hit the tiller cross bar in the rear hitch mount.The normal hitch locks probable would not work, so I'm thinking a locking bar would be bolted on to lock both implements in place. The other idea would be one hitch directly below the other in the normal axle position. It would also have to have some type of brace to the forward frame so as to not put a twisting force on the axle. I haven't figured out if there's enough ground clearance to do this type of arrangement. The front dozer blade would be lifted by the existing hydraulic lift and the rear tiller would be lifted by a 2nd rear hydraulic cylinder. Only one implement would be in use at one time. I'm thinking I will make a wood mock up of both ideas to work out some basic details before I start cutting & welding. Has anyone tried this? I would like to learn what worked and what didn't from others. if you haven't tried it, I still like to hear your thoughts on what might work, or potential problems that I haven't thought of yet.   3. The following quotes and paragraphs are from a cousin of mine - Lew - and his friend - Steve - . His friend found a few pics of old tractor/ dozer things and thought he might be interested... So I asked if it was OK to share them here with you all machinery nuts. Lew, to me, others: These are some old photos from an MG friend, Steve, of his grandad's machinery. I thought you might appreciate his description of them even more. Interesting: gasoline only used to warm up the engine so it would use kerosene. Water injection in the 20s & 30s? Any of you remember that? Good Ol' Days. Steve, to Lew: These would be my Grandad Olson's grading outfit. Not sure where or when they were taken but probably late 1920s-early 1930s. Could be Booneville, Missouri or Canton, Illinois or most any small community. Tractor with the big roof is a 60 Cat or possibly a Holt that was bought by Cat. One with the smaller roof could be a 30 Cat but looks more like something else. Could be a Cleatrack or a Rumley Oil Pull. Whatever it is it is pulling an elevating grader. That scraped up dirt onto its conveyor belt and spilled it off into a wagon being pulled along side. Same device being pulled by 60 Cat in first photo. Big fuel tank held kerosene. There was a small one for gasoline used only to start the engine and warm it up till the kerosene would vaporize. There was also a water injection for added power under hard pull. Idle RPM was 300 and red line was a whopping 600. Lots of torque but just 60 horse power at the power takeoff and a few less at the draw bar. Huge exposed flywheel had holes along the rim to insert a pry bar. That is how you cranked it to start. Had to be a Manly Man to do that. These tractors were state of the art and biggest made at the time. They could do a lot of work but were not fast. Mules and side-dump wagons did all the hauling. Later, big bottom-dump Cat wagons with tracks took over that job. Even those held less than a small dump truck does today. Steve's words to me (now US) : Maybe someone in your group (That would be US ) will recognize where the photos were taken. I would think about 1928 or 29. This was Olson Brothers Grading and they enjoyed the highway building boom. In later years I played on some of these old Cats and even rode on one. Maybe someone will know the make of the smaller tractor. I think the two men standing on the elevating grader are my Grandpa and great uncle Harry and Arthur Olson but may be someone else entirely. I would love to find out more about the photos and everyone in my family that might know is now gone. Share if you like and let me know what you learn.
  4. Made a 4 hour round trip on Sunday to pick up a 48" blade w/rear bracket for $150.. Needless to say, it was well worth the trip and the money!! Can't wait for snow more snow!!

    Mounting Instructions

    Does anyone know where I can find mounting instructions for my dozer blade? It's on an A-frame mount, model 6-4113 7. I have a Raider 10 tractor.
  6. Hi all, Quick question that I am hoping some of the members of this forum could help me with. I am a fairly new owner of a 520LXI. I purchased it with the dozer blade, part 79355, over the summer. Last night I decided to install the blade since they are calling for a surprising amount of snow in our area this weekend, and I am excited to try it out! However, during the last step of installation I realized that my blade was missing either of the lift links for my tractor. In this case I believe I would have wanted to use the slotted link to avoid down pressure with snow removal. In the manual, this looks like a pretty simple part to fab up, and it just attaches with 2 3/8x3/4" clevis pins to the attachment lift plate under the tractor. If you have this setup, would you mind giving me some dimensions of the slotted link? Specifically, overall length, location of the end hole and start/stop of the slot? There seems to be a ton of dimensions for the older tractor/blade links, but I was unsuccessful in searching this forum for details on the newer style. If I don't have this link, it looks like I could simply loop a small piece of chain over the lifting bar for the mower deck and attach it to the blade as well - does anyone see an issue with that? Thanks a ton for any help!
  7. Hello! I purchased a WH 308-8 with a snow blade and a mower deck. I have the manuals for the mower deck and the tractor but I have absolutely nothing on the plow. It has a 42" blade and I think the frame is 56" from the end to the pivot point. I have found lots of information on similar blades but I have been unable to figure out exactly what model mine is. I am asking simply because I am curious. Thanks in advance! P.S. It doesn't work real well on the 308-8 as I currently have it. I think I might be missing a piece.
