Guys, I have it running now but I do not have a charge to the battery. I thought I had a regulated 15 amp charging tractor but low and behold, it's just like my Magnum powered 310-8 with the unregulated 3 amp circuit. I have headlights. Both my VOM and the voltmeter on the dash indicate no charge. (12.0 to 12.1 VDC on an old battery right after starting and constant thereafter idle or full throttle). I wanted to give you guys the stator output but I'm not sure what wires are the actual charge circuit coming from the magneto. I know the one with the diode inline is one of them but what wire do I hook the other lead to? I think I need >28 VAC to rule out the magneto. I just need to know what the other wire is. Three prong connector. Also, do I measure before or after the diode. I'm sorry about the lack of electrical sense I have retained on these non-regulated systems! PS.....I also have the tiny diameter white wire from the base of the Oil sensor test switch hanging. Can't see where it used to go.
