9 pointsMy oncologist had the hospital give me two iron infusions during my hospital stay after surgery. No lifting over 10 lbs for 1 month. I had my follow up visit with the surgeon. Everything is good just need to finish healing and give my colon time to start working properly. I'm back to work and getting better every day. Still waiting for the results from the lab to find out if the cancer is totally gone.

8 pointsHell ya! This is why I bought my first Wheel Horse this year: to haul firewood up to the house rack from my drying racks down further on the micro-homestead... I haul 4 carts of splits (about 1/5 a cord) up to the house every 2 to 3 weeks. For the last 5 years I've been doing it by hand, pushing a wheel barrow uphill, about 50 yards. This started to get to be a bit much especially when it was really muddy or really icy. Hurt my back or tripped one too many times. Now I've got a beautiful Horse and have become a part of the hobby! The way my property lies, I can't bring the tractor right up to the house rack - there's a patio with furniture, a deck, and a picnic table in the way. So I pull the tractor up close to the house, disconnect the cart and attach the handle, and wheel the cart about 7 yards over to the rack, unload, bring the cart back and attach it, and go back down. Likewise, can't get the tractor in between the racks so I disconnect cart, wheel over a few feet to the rack, fill her up, reconnect, and haul her uphill! Sounds tedious but I have a great system going now and it's pretty straight forward. Loving this tractor.

6 pointsI know... I was joking ... but with your capacity to make things move I'm thinking Ranger Rick will go ahead and write you up if the Kia winds up in a tree...

6 pointsCustom maple dash for ’61-’62 Round Hood holds voltmeter and ammeter. (6-speed replaced 3-speed hence two shift knobs) Adapter for spring-mounted seat to raise it 1.25" and move it rearward 2.0". Much more comfortable for a 6’2” operator. Sleeve hitch adaptor inverts for different trailer hitching

6 pointsThat engine isn't Kia's best effort. Four coworkers have/had Kias with that engine. Three have had replacement engines installed. Even being a freebie I think you might have paid too much. Steve

5 pointsThe NCAA playoffs are near. Most of you know I'm a big Notre Dame fan who will be playing Indiana for the first time since 1991. We were at that game and it was one of the best times we've had and a football game. We've been to a lot of games and the fans on both sides have always played well together but with this one the fan interaction was second to none. I've always wished they would schedule them more often. At all the Notre Dame games and NASCAR races we went to I always purchased a program. I had to dig it out. Notice the program and the ticket price. I was thumbing through it mainly to refresh my mind as to who played that year. I came across this. There's going to be a bit of a rivalry in this house Friday night. Nancy and I pull for IU EXCEPT this time since it involves Notre Dame. Our daughter has a Masters degree from IU. It's gonna be fun!

5 pointsAs per request of @953 nut here's a couple part numbers and pics of the clutch springs we use. For Trina's mid 60s tractors I ordered clutch/brake pedal springs from McMaster Carr. These should fit most 3 and 6 speed tractors with a SINGLE pedal. https://www.mcmaster.com/#3114T112 Extension Springs with Hook Ends Black-Oxide Music-Wire Steel, 4.5" Long, 0.625" OD These are just a touch stronger than the stainless steel ones I've found recommended. New one on top. The one that I use for all my TWO PEDAL tractors from 1968 up is the standard Toro part number 108035.

5 pointsYeah could not post just one! First pic is my first meet and greet as a guest in CT. That is vinsrj my son brennanbo and I checking out my early 55’. Fast forward a bit to the two of us riding around big show on our seniors. Being able to share this hobby with my son and of course all the friends I made along the way makes it special.

5 pointsPTO hoop ready to be installed. PTO hoop installed. I used a 5/32 cotter pin instead of the hairpin clip at the bottom of the hoop. For the trunnion I used a thicker washer under the hairpin clip to eliminate excess play.

4 pointsPlease edit and remove your comment that belts stretch. They don’t. Belts are made with strong internal cords wrapped with rubber and fabric, just like truck and car tires.. The sides of the belt do gradually wear off allowing the belt to drop lower into the groove of the pulley but their length has not changed. Belts wear out and seem longer, and sometimes deteriorate from age or corruption, but they do not stretch.

4 pointsHere another 300, 400 seat pan reinforcement (no welding require) 1/8 x 1 1/2" this been on since 2014. Will need some grinding if you have a hydro with belt release, or a Dial-a -Height. It's bolted in with the 4 shifter panel bolts. I also added a cross piece of 1/8" as I raised the fender bracket , gas tank and fender 1 3/4" for some 25" tires. Here is the 312-8 beside a stock height C-120 but it isn't stock. There also a modified clevis hitch to work with a receiver hitch.

4 pointsFrom a capable motor vehicle. It needs to be able to start and drive and be mobile. We can hunt from something that won’t start, or drive, or move…

4 pointsHere's a few. Aluminum battery hold down bracket. Home shop made HD batter cables. Wheel spacers for added width which gives stability. This Pic shows the trailer hub swap for the front of a tractor. I wish I had better pics.

4 pointsAnother frame reinforcing, that can be done with out taking the tractor apart. The edges of the 1 1/2" x 1/4" need to be ground to fit between the ridges. unless it's an old one. Reinforcing 6" spindles.
-
3 pointsIt's an old machine that needs some cleaning and TLC. It's a model PM serial no. 239 I had to disassemble it to move it in the shop so I decided to clean it up so I could paint it before reassembly.

3 pointsJay, stay out of the rain, wouldn't want you to rust. Glad to hear you are doing well, looking forward to seeing you back at work on the dump truck project.
-
3 pointsNot much of a update but I got the nails all pulled out of the boards and got the boards stacked There was a bunch of hay, dirt, and crap behind those boards for the chute but it looks like it stayed dry so it doesn't appear to have rotted anything out.

3 pointsI read some of the horror stories online. Thanks for that rabbit hole At 200k on the ticker, I wonder if it’s been replaced, or if the rods are still doing what they’re supposed to be doing!
-
3 pointsThat would be a # 15 Woodruff key which is 1/4" thick and 1" long. any hardware store should have them.
-
3 pointsFixed a loose 520 steering wheel. Drilled it out to 7/8" and made an adapter also raised it 1 3/4". It was a real pain as you can't drill a round hole in potmetal. While I had it apart I replaced the bushing with a ball bearing on the steering shaft. This Bracket is only used on 1988, 1989, and 1990 500 series.

2 pointsIf you're referring to the rubber/plastic grip, I think I have several new ones in my NOS parts box.... I haven't had time to try to list and sell a lot of stuff. Happy to contribute one to this project if you'd pay for or split the shipping cost... Beautiful restoration work - I'm enjoying following along, as I'm sure many here are.

2 pointsFrom what @wh500special said about the engines it shouldn't be too hard to find a replacement wheel for the one that got destroyed. I would be inclined to put as little $ as posable into it and pass it on to a new owner.

2 pointsTransmission drive belt 78-7100 replaced by 7473 - HB x 81.9" or 5/8" x 81.9" A 5/8" x 82" belt will work.

2 pointsYep and Dan told me that too moons ago ... it finally stuck ... BTW this girl sat outside with no hood. and the wire pointing up. The problem with the wire pointing down is wire length seldom allows it.

2 pointssaved my self the pain or finding an original engine.... Over here, there are cylinder mowers with the modern equivalent engine. Same bolt pattern to the frame, electric start too!
