13 pointsOne picture is a tough one for me. I have some great pictures that have a lot of memories. This is probably one of my most favorites. The first day wheelhorse_kid got his 604 out for its first drive after reassembling it from a literal pile of multicolored parts. He did 98% of the work himself too at age of 10. Ok maybe 11 I can’t remember.

11 pointsL-107 purchased by my father May 1967. First picture taken summer 1967 with my niece at the wheel, second picture 2021 same girl driving it. Last picture today, the old girl is still at work. she is my chore tractor used several times a week year round.
-
10 pointsIt’s that time of year that the firewood gets moved from the pile to the house. I did 3 loads with my trusty 12automatic today. Hoping I don’t need to do wood again for 2 plus weeks. All depends on the weather and how much the stove eats. Wood is my primary heat/hot water source from late fall til mid spring usually. The trailer was built by my late grandfather who also was a wheel horse addict but I never knew it. I knew he liked them just not how much until he passed and I found his parts and spare tractors. It is built out of an old oil tank and is used year round for many different things.

9 pointslots of family tractor memories for many of us -- my son in 1989 on our new 312 hauling some bricks - then his son leafing/mowing on the same 312 thirty years later in 2019 .

7 pointsI’d like to see some custom modifications/upgrades that some of the co-members in this group have made over the years to strengthen / upgrade Wheel horse tractors. @Brockport Bill makes the nice seat pan bracket reinforcements . @ri702bill makes the awesome frame reinforcement & gussets . I’m always intrigued on the craftsmanship in this hobby . I figured this would be a great thread to start for new members and current members that are always looking for solutions to issues or upgrades to their current machine's.
-
7 pointsAnother frame reinforcing, that can be done with out taking the tractor apart. The edges of the 1 1/2" x 1/4" need to be ground to fit between the ridges. unless it's an old one. Reinforcing 6" spindles.

7 points@Ed Kennell You have put an idea in the flip flop kid's head , the rice burner will end up on the big yellow bus , sinking in the field.

7 pointsBeen having problems with this girl and haven't worked on it in awhile. @Achtocome over to scrounge parts and we tinkered with it for abit. It started and ran but wouldn't throttle up and run with out choke. Carb right?? I had put an offshore on it so we just thought I got a bad one. Fuel pump checked good. Dug the original Carter out of the cleaner and put a carb kit on it. Did the same thing no throttle but idled great. Just for grins put a different condenser on it and runs great. Might just throw the offshore on it to see if indeed that's what it was.

6 pointsI kinda like this one with the two girls backed by pine tunnel.

5 pointsFixed a loose 520 steering wheel. Drilled it out to 7/8" and made an adapter also raised it 1 3/4". It was a real pain as you can't drill a round hole in potmetal. While I had it apart I replaced the bushing with a ball bearing on the steering shaft. This Bracket is only used on 1988, 1989, and 1990 500 series.
-
5 pointsHere's a few. Aluminum battery hold down bracket. Home shop made HD batter cables. Wheel spacers for added width which gives stability. This Pic shows the trailer hub swap for the front of a tractor. I wish I had better pics.

-
5 pointsHey hey hey... Play nice... @Pullstart's place is a lot closer to Cheeseland... the prevailing winds carry a lot of curd-odor to the western side of the Mitten... not his fault... he's a victim...

5 pointsMan, I was the family’s designated tire changer from age 12 or 13. Summers to snows and back. And Dad always waited until it snowed and was freezing cold to do the summer to snow switch. Here they also make tire changing a part of the HS driver ed program!
-
5 pointsThis was more of a quick storm cleanup mode for the in-laws. Chipper on the front with a 2" receiver and the cart and saw on the back to take what will be good for firewood.
-
5 pointsA two day heatwave in the forecast, so a good day to shut down the wood burner and clean out the ashes and soot. Then haul in a couple loads of fuel.

5 pointsFuel tank ready to install. Bolts shown are too short. I ended up using 5/16x3/4" bolts, lockwashers, and flat washers to get correct thread engagement. Fuel tank partly installed. Fuel hose connected to shutoff valve and bottom bolts installed into fuel tank.
-
5 pointsI love that pic Paul ... and to think a LR was supposed to be just a cheaper mower. Guess we showed them!
-
5 pointsFuel hose installed. I used plenty of clips to hold it in place and space it out slightly from the engine to help with heat soak issues.

4 points2011 Kia Forte. 173 hp 2.4L / 6 speed automatic. The tire went flat. They didn’t know how to change it. Drove it, broke the wheel, and the battery died. So it was parked. Freebie! The smart thing to do would be drive it and get amazing fuel mileage, but that seems silly! I’m thinking a spacer lift, 29” mud tires and have fun
