and never saw armored truck following a hearst. That said ... Figured as long as I have a atv that sits and never gets used might as well have one of these.

Traded my chipper shredder and a Franklin for this 875. It spent a good part of it's life at a camp hauling firewood. It was given to my friend Bruce about a year and a half ago. it had been switched to a solenoid start circuit and didn't have the PTO parts or the lift parts. Well I had the rockshaft and gave it to him. Bruce installed it and found out why it was missing. When you raise the lift the rockshaft shorts out the solenoid! Engine smokes a tad too. 6 year old Autopart battery still has 230 CCA in it and Bruce says he never put a charger on it ! It's got your standard "Farm Implement Red" blown on paint job but it's somewhat presentable Already swapped out the back wheels and installed studs. Got to rewire it, toss the sediment bowl run new shutoff and gas lines, new trans filter and belt and install a re-ringed Fireball 8. I have all of the PTO parts and going to have to get a dial a height unit and a trans fan screen. Going to make it an "Old School " mowing machine.

Got off the plane, drove home from the airport and got right into leaf duty. 414-8 with a 42”RD was the weapon of choice to chop/mulch my leaves. Started out doing North/South passes and then did the yard again going East/West.

I'm with the rest of the gang, don't think that a 520 frame will handle that much weight. I also don't think that you can find 12" tires to handle that much weight either. A pic of a typical 3ton wagon running gear. One other note: I would not suggest pulling 3 ton with any . Ohhh, it will probably pull it !! It's the stopping it that can be an issue.

‘It was a fundraiser for our local VFW and a guy donated it. This was one of three items that were auctioned off. Lots of raffles going throughout the night as well as a bingo game . Really had to be paying attention to what drawing or numbers were being called . I’m from a small town and just after my accident 14 years ago they had a benefit for me . It’s a small hall and no one was expecting 800+ people showing up ,especially me . They helped raise a bunch of money for my family and I’m not even a veteran . So when I can I give back so they can help others in need .

Take a look at the frame on a trailer that is rated for three tons, that is a starting point. What were you planning to use for axles, wheels and tires? There is no way the Wheel Horse running gear is going to last under that load. If you boxed the frame with some 2" X 2" 3/8 thick angle iron it might not fold up but it probably wouldn't hold that load at the connection points for the axles.

We looked at Shelter Logic and then we went with Farm Tek. They both seem heavy duty, but this one had the clear roof, so we went with that. This one is pretty heavy duty and came with a 15 year warranty. We've managed to keep the snow off from it as much as we could and it is doing good, it is 7 years old now. C-85

Oil filter access Plunge ... He says some model Can Ams you gotta be a contortionist to get at. Oil & filter need to be changed at first 20 hrs. Battery access isn't too bad but removal requires of a whole bunch of expensive plastic off tho. First order of business is to add a tender plug. My 2013 UTV at the cabin has one and and original battery so the tenders are worth it.

Sounds like a very interesting project. I'd love to see pics or plans or whatever. Two and a half to three tons is at least twice what I would feel safe putting on a wheel horse frame no matter what the axles were. I'm not sure I would even advise you to try boxing the frame which of course would add exponential strength. If you want to put 6,000 lb on a rolling chassis I'd advise building something custom.

I just dont have the space to keep everything. I live in the city and really don't have a yard. My garage and shed are packed full. I live in western NY and anything left outside will be covered in snow soon. I may be stupid fir selling them, but not as stupid as the previous owners that gave them away for FREE !! @WHX?? I can get you a deal on a nice Pit Boss. Only used on sundays by a Lil old lady after church.

my son and grandson started on WH age 3 - - taught safety FIRST from earliest age - - and lots of experience on jet skiis - snowmobiles etc -- plus numerous folks in the group are professional law enforcement, fire service etc so its in their training DNA for safety first - they know first hand consequences of reckless or stupid !!

So a few months ago I responded to an ad on CL for a free Traeger Tailgate Smoker. Went and got it. Cleaned it up. Used it a half dozen times and sold it for 200 bucks. Not bad for free. Well yesterday I saw another ad on CL for a free smoker at the curb. Said didn't know if it worked or not. I hmmm'ed and hawwww'ed and weather I should take the drive to see if it still was there. Ad had been up an hour. We'll I told Jeffrey to get in the truck and we went for a little ride to go see. 15 mins later I was struggling to try and get it in the bed of my truck. So heavy. I wasn't going to leave it. Tore my legs up some getting it up and in but I did it. Came home and unloaded it. Wheeled it over to the garage. Plugged it in. Works like a champ !!! Can't believe people just toss these out. It's a Pit Boss 820 ps1. I like it even better then the Traeger. It's larger and more features. Can't wait to use it. Most likely sell it like the last one. Anyone have a favorite rib recipe ?

It seems complete but needs a few things. It’s an 8speed, I’m pretty excited to have it, especially for as little as I paid for it. It needs a choke cable, front tire and a gas cap. The guy said it ran good when he parked it around 5 years ago. I’ll work on in the next couple of weeks and report back.

Not good not bad for 116 HP. Took it to vote and went to town to gas up & road noise was more than engine. Wasn't too hot with the AC on ...

I did not see any super C photos submitted, so I'll fix that. Here is a shot of Clyde, the C-195, on hauling duties at the lake house: Sorry about the partial picture. It is stuck there. I can't make it go away.

I used my single tall chute on my C-12 Hydro. It worked but ran out of HP in the deep stuff. On the 520H...no problem. Good ground speed means keeping the housing full of snow. To do this, the ground speed needs to be varied to match the depth of the snow and this can only be done with a hydro. The hydro lift is also a must for us old guys.

@tractorboy79@953 nut@wh315-8 Thanks everyone for getting this to my attention! The more HP the better the performance. Going too slow of a ground speed will clog them up MUCH faster if it isn't powder. Too small of an engine won't allow it get loaded up enough in the wet stuff to perform well. Yes, they will still work even with an 8 hp. But there is a very noticeable difference when using a 12 and up. I tried going from a 16 hp down to a 10 hp and and changed it back quickly because of the noticable difference in performance. My opinion, big engine and a good ground speed, just fast enough until the engine grunts just a little, that seems to be the "sweet spot"

The minimum safety factor on most things is double the actual load. Your already looking at 6 tons. I suggest you google minimum safety factor and read all that is shown.

I plan to attend. I been there the last 2yrs. The Ber Vac is the bad boy of the 2stages. My dad has one on his Troy Bilt GTX20. It's a beast of a snow removal machine!

I guess it depends on how much snow you typically get. Where I live snowfall has been significantly less than normal last few years. I sold my single stage along with my C105. Just didn't perform well especially in heavy, wet snow. Right now i have a 2stage Toro walk behind snowblower. My plan is to get a 520H with a 2stage. We get "lake effect " snow events that can dump every bit of a foot + of snow in a short time. A 2stage is definitely needed at least in my area.

I have used short and tall chute single stages to clear several of those 30" snows that we used to get. They work best in the deep dry snows. Not so well in the 3" slushy stuff we get now. For the singles to work efficiently, the housing must be kept full. To do this, the ground speed must be varied and IMO, this can only be accomplished with a Hydro. I sold my blowers 5 years ago as we have not had a decent snow in 10 years. I do have a dual stage that will probably never be used....got it in a trade deal a couple years back. If you ever get one of those 30"ers Joe, call me. I would love to use this dually before I sell it.

I’ve been using my C-145 with a tall chute single stage blower now I think for 3 or 4 seasons. Works great with the lighter snow and wet. As long as it isn’t slush it will throw it. (In the videos it was like a foot of kinda wet snow but mostly powder.) IMG_3377.mov cm-chat-media-video-1:921c5e01-9961-3138-8733-92850a611703:10989:0:0.mov

Regular household vinegar or go up to higher acid content vinegar. The acid in it will eat the rust. Put a handful or 2 of screws or nuts or both in the tank and shake them around to scrape off and remove the bigger stuff. Empty them out afterwards Fill with vinegar and let it sit over night, pour it out back into the container because it can be reused if needed. Check the tank and if it still needs more repeat the vinegar bath. When it's good, rinse it out with a 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda to 2 cups of water in order to neutralize the acid. Shake that around in the tank for a bit. Pour out, rinse with regular water. Then blow dry with compressed air or even a blow dryer. Getting it dry quickly will stop the fast flash rust from the water being on cleaned metal.

@D_Mac 6hrs is a long time to wait for your ribs to cook. You might want to throw on some stuffed poblano peppers for an appetizer to hold you over while you wait for the ribs. And don't forget some apple pie and left over pie crust cinnamon rolls for desert. I may use my smoker a lot.

Baby backs, lightly coated with yellow mustard to hold your dry rub of choice on. Set the smoker at 225, throw the ribs on the grate for 3hrs. After that wrap them up tight in foil & put them back on for 2hrs. When this time is up, remove the foil and add your favorite sauce (if you wish to sauce them). Put them back on the smoker for 1hr to glaze the sauce or just crisp up your rub. Have fall off the bone ribs with a deep smoke ring every time. Easy as 3-2-1.

Changed the oil on my 875. Also greased and oiled the moving parts. It's ready to go to work. Of course I don't mind if I don't have to use it any time soon.
