As with most days, today I was wearing one of my Wheel Horse shirts. My brother stopped by and he had one on, then a little while later my son in law stopped by and he too had one on! It wasn’t too long before we were laughing about it, so I had my bride take a picture.

My neighbor held an open house to show his latest addition to his collection. A local company, Pullman Autos were built in York , Pa. in 1905-1917. This is one of the 27 of this model that still exist. That's a lot of brass to keep polished. Some of his other iron. The Felton Flyer built by a dear friend---- Mr. Bob Frutiger Bobs daily driver pick up parked by his aircraft. Couple more pics.

Here’s the three of us at a local tractor show this summer. That’s me in the middle, and after looking at this picture I realized that I’m the only one with a Wheel Horse shirt on. I’m going to have to have a talk with these boys! If they are going to drive my tractors, they need to wear the proper attire 😂

Two more carbs headed to their owners tomorrow. This one's off a Kohler 8 HP. Also got into the fuel pump for it. Disassemble. Clean out. Reassembly with new diaphragm.

On a submarine coffee was available 24/7 but I never drank it. It was always bug juice (koolaid) or soda which was also 24/7. Now it's a cup or better every day. That went out the window many years ago ...

I finished putting this Onan P220 back together. It came out of my 520H, and had a slight surge. I bought a NOS Onan from a guy here and swapped them back in 2010. I bought a new hour meter for the new engine and stored the old one with the old engine. It has 537 hours on it. Now that I’m retired, I decided to get the old one running. New fuel pump, filter and carb and it runs nice and smooth. Now to decide if I want to sell it or use it to build a generator. I have a 10K generator head from Harbor Freight. Then I dig into a generator that was in my Mother In Law’s garage. We were cleaning her house out to sell it after she passed a year ago. I had fuel to the carb but nothing in the bowl. Took the carb off and it was full of varnish. I had to scrape it out of the bowl with a screwdriver. The needle valve was glued in from the varnish. It’s way past being old gas. Lol. Cleaned it all up and put it back together and it purrs like a kitten. I’m going to offer it to my brother. He lost power for a week from the hurricane in E TN and NC. Now I’m wondering what to tinker with next. IMG_5273.MOV IMG_5271.MOV

This is actually his OSHA approved rig where he stands on the stable disc. When he is pulling his spring harrow, he stands on the trees between the horses and the harrow. As the tension on the harrow, changes, he bobs up and down. When I question him, he answers " it's good therapy for my sore back".

Oh, that's a no no. When I had an office equipment service company, we had a Bunn commercial coffee maker. We kept coffee going all day. We used pre-measured packets so there was never a problem with coffee strength. I didn't mind employees taking the initiative to clean the pots and baskets, but there was a strict rule about washing my cup...DON'T. If you find it necessary to touch my cup, rinse only. It takes a long time to get a cup/mug properly seasoned. I can't say I blame your chief. The first time my office manager washed my cup, she suddenly had some work that needed to be done after hours on a Friday. My cup never got washed again.

I helped Trina hold the second front door in place while we checked for fit. It was a bit too wide so we marked it with a pencil and I cut that extra off. Then we set it in place and she held it with a scrap piece of wood and some short screws. Her and the momma drilled all the hinge holes and installed all the bolts. 54 of them. ... We wanted a home shop made doorknob that would open from both sides. Here's what Trina came up with.

Removed the "grenade gears" from my C-160. I found a great video on it that's probably been posted before, but just in case: It's just what I needed to inspire me to do mine. My gears rattled around like the bearings were worn but the teeth look good.

New here and was searching for information as a madman. I feel I'm a bit obligated to answer here as I happen to have close ties to Norcar, who were behind the mink feeder thing. The company name comes from the founders, Caj Carlson and Erik Norras' last names. Norlett has no relation to Norcar. Caj Carlson was the one behind the idea of buying wheel horse tractors and tearing them apart and putting a feeder system on the. Back in the 60's only a handful of farms had access to a proper feeder truck so the small and rather affordable minkomatic went to become a revolution. Some of the feeders used wheel horse relates parts almost up to their bankruptcy in 1994 i think. The company was actually still bought and pulled out of the bankruptcy and still exists today. The feeders don't have anything remotely to do with wheel horse anymore and none are even being built anymore due to the fur industry having completely collapsed. The company has moved on but some spare parts treasures are stocked. If i have the chance, I will get some pictures. This one is still in the company collections fully restored:

I've seen one of these. It’s a miniature French Press-style maker. VW Bugs had a slide out ashtray in the middle of the dash through ’67 (if memory serves) that you removed and the base of this thing slid in there in its place. The lighter socket was just to the left. So you could smoke or have coffee! Through ’66 or ’67 the Beetles were 6v so this thing really drew a lot of amps.

They look Wheel Horse to me. If it's low hours, well maintained, and works as it should, could be a $1K package deal.

My father had a VW Squareback back in the 70s. No heat. In the winter he'd keep a propane camping stove on the passenger side floor pan. Lite it up half hour before he left.
