5 pointsI've always been fascinated by numbers and sequences of numbers, but last night I happened to look at my watch. It was 9:24. The date was 9/24, and my address is 924 Chapel Rd. Nothing special happened, and I'm still alive. Just sayin'

5 pointsIf my brain shrank anymore, Waldo would be able to beat me in a spelling bee. 1st. Word: Cat Cat: K A T Cat!
-
5 pointsMy brain is already so small that any more shrinking should be minimal. A 26 year old huh? That might explain why some young people seem to be so mind-numb to the world around them. If it isn't on their phone then it doesn't matter.

5 pointsThank You, Everyone My wife and I just returned from spending a few days at the beach in the RV. With the summer crowds gone we had a relaxing time and the beach almost to ourselves.

-
4 pointsAs you know there would be a lot of heat generated with no heatsink and it would probably not last very long. At 0.01015 ohms per foot a piece of 20 gauge 273.7 feet long should get you in the 2,88 ohm range with about four amp current flow. sounds like a plan.

4 pointsMrs. Sylvan would suggest that my brain is permanently shrunk, regardless of what time it is...
-
4 pointsHmmm, I just woke up from a 3 hour nap, so I should be good to go.

4 pointsBrains shrink after 8pm. Hummmmm. Maybe that is why I seem to get a kick from watching Ancient Aliens late in the evening.
-
3 pointsI seldom post after 8:00 pm and now there is scientific evidence that we men probably should think twice about doing anything involving thought after 8:00 pm. According to researcher Laura Pritschet our brains shrink after 8:00 pm but do recover by morning, Good night all. https://www.the-sun.com/health/12518825/mens-brains-shrink-everyday-reset-overnight-hormones/#:~:text=MEN'S brains shrink in volume, the man's brain reset overnight.

3 pointsFlat Earth theory jives very nicely with the International Stop Continental Drift movement as well... Flat presumes a weight equilibrium... Continental drift, if allowed to continue, would jeopardize said flatness through changing weight distribution across the flat earth's plane... wouldn't it? And it ain't even past 8:00 pm...
-
3 pointsGood point. I just question everything and try to think outside the box. BTW, Mrs K says sometimes I look like I should be living in a cardboard box in the alley.
-
3 pointsEven if the earth is flat, if you walk around the outside edge, you’ll end up back where you started, just by continually walking forward
-
3 pointsSo, structurally, it turned out well. I thought I had purchased water thin super glue, but it was more of a gel. Will get thinner glue next time, but the super glue worked. I will probably line the ID of the coil with insulating tape or plastic. Or maybe, I'll insulate the minor of the housing. Technique is good, next is hitting a resistance that is good enough. 20ga wire is supposed to be here Friday.

3 pointsI worked night shift and late hours for years...still a night owl and slow in the mornings...I say BS.

3 pointsI wonder how this affects folks travelling in and out of different time zones, ie, airline / military air crew? Do the effects of ‘Jet lag’ differ depending on which direction you’re going ?🤔🤪🤪🤪 It’s now 0805 hrs where I am, If I ask the same question later at 2005 hrs will I get a different answer? Or should I just have a couple of JD’s 🥃🥃, and go to bed instead?
-
3 pointsNow we wait on the super glue to cure. Getting 1.2 ohms.

2 points17 Wheel Horse tractors Pickup in Alton, Illinois (St. Louis, MO area). CONDITION: Except where noted, these have mostly been sitting for some time and probably won’t start without some tinkering by you when you get them home. In other words, they “ran when parked.” All are in fair shape. Expect bumps and bruises. They are all dirty from sitting in the barn. They’ve not been left outside. I would rather sell in groups. I’ve made some example groupings with discounted pricing in the table below. If you have your own preferred grouping, let me know. PRICING: Pricing is our starting point and I will consider offers. If you’re serious, so am I. PAYMENT: Cash when you come is fine as long as you promise to follow through in a reasonable timeframe. If you need me to hold something for a prolonged period of time I might ask you to pay for it up front. TRADES: I’m probably not interested in trades, but if you have something you want to discuss just let me know. OTHER STUFF: I also have a ton of parts, mower decks, snow blades, mid mount blades, turning plows, signs, front farm PTO unit, a shredder…This stuff will only be available to those who are committed to buying things from this list and who are here to pick up. Thanks, Steve 523Dxi $750 520Lxi $450 518xi $350 18-Automatic (SOLD) 211-4 $100 252H $175 246H $150 Ranger 700 (SOLD) 500 Special (SOLD) Charger 12 (SOLD) 1075 $175 Commando V8 $150 B-60 $300 C-160-A (SOLD) C-161T-8 $200 GT-2500 $200 GT-1142 $350

2 pointsSo, if my brain is shrinking, perhaps that’s causing a vacuum to form in my cranium, which in turn would explain why it seems to be sucking in stupidity. I knew there had to be some scientific explanation for my getting dumber by the day. Thanks, @953 nut! Oh my, look at the time!
-
2 pointsIf the continents drift to one side, won't that make a flat earth flip upside down?
-
2 pointsThat right there is a whole new definition of stupid; and you can't fix stupid!
-
2 pointsyep, definitely bizarre and that's disappointing too. There are a few Wawa and Sheetz stations around me that sell ethanol free. right now $4.05/gallon.

2 pointsSo, 1.2ohms would mean I need to have a 1.5ohm power resistor in series otherwise it will draw like 10amps. Coil uses enough juice that I need a 100watt resistor. This would probably work, but I don't really like it. I'm going to take my first attempt out of the bobbin today and see how it turned out structurally. Don't know if I like the super glue. I'm doing what is called a scramble wind: i.e. I'm not trying to get the rows of wire neatly laid down. Since this is a DC electromagnet, scramble winding is totally fine for the application and much easier to produce; as long as I can fit it into the available space. Scramble wind is less compact than a tight wind. I did wind to the max dims that I can fit in the housing 5.06 OD, 3.375 ID, .530 thick. I've ordered 20 gauge magnet wire, that should let me get the resistance high enough that I don't need a resistor. Field strength will likely go up. Wonder if I'll need to adjust the clutch engage distance or add shims or something?
-
2 pointsDoes wonders for the rest of us as well. Keep those pics coming!

2 pointsThat probably explains why prime time TV network programing is so mind numbing.

2 pointsBelieve me, it is making me fidget as well but I know that I will need something to keep me entertained during the winter so I will wait. I could likely assemble the entire thing in a day or two but I will try and make it last as long as possible. Taking lots of pictures and posting them to Redsquare also takes time and keeps me occupied.
-
2 pointsSave it! They are great Wheel Horse tractors! They helped revolutionize mowing and yard work. First 48 inch mower deck, 54 inch snowplow.dozer blade and they could not make enough of them!

1 pointLike I said the other day we put some stuff away over the weekend. My 2 rj-58’s, 753, and 603. Plus my oldest son’s all original 856. The last piece of the puzzle is Wheelhorse_kid’s 604 up top. Plus he has 2 small engines (Briggs and Stratton WMB and a Continental) up there along with my spare Kohler K90. This is the beefed up version of what I have had for years. It helps get some out of the way. It’s nice to have my garage back. I have plenty of projects I’d like to work on in there lol.

1 pointI did not measure before the rebuild assuming it's the same as now since nothing changed on the camshaft And yes I did put the shim that was already there back in

1 pointI've put bushings in the top of quite a few carbs. It's a loose enough fit that you certainly do not need to drive the shaft down through or anything like that. If it won't move either direction I would begin to wonder if someone got some Loctite down in that lower bushing housing. I think a little more heat shouldn't hurt much. But obviously, don't be too ambitious on that. I would be prone to trying to lock the carb into a vice and use large pliers or some such, to try to turn that throttle shaft towards the "more open" direction. More that turns open, the more freedom there should be for that butterfly.
-
1 pointThis isn't a good picture, but I came up with this shade tree method to hold it in place so I could put enough pressure on it. I couldn't figure out a way to get it in my vice. This did put a small crimp in it so if I had to do it again I'd add something to more evenly distribute the pressure and the fulcrum point. I have it back on and it seems to work ok. Thanks, Smitty

1 pointHood, Fender, side covers, engine tins patiently waiting in the storage building. Paint will be well cured by the time these get installed over the cold winter months.

1 pointWas looking through some things this evening and figured these belonged here! My grandparents and cousin with the Work Horse my grandpa bought new in ‘83 the picture is dated 1986 along with the original operators manual which was really cool to be able to read through. The tractor is still around too which is cool and one funny thing with it was my grandfather didn’t like the turf tires so the dealer swapped wheels off another tractor so somewhere out there there’s a wheel horse with the gloss white rears and this one has the beige white rims.
