A Wheel Horse GT-14 is the only information he has offered. That is like asking for a set of spark plugs for a Ford passenger car. If we don't get it right this fellow is in more trouble. There are 9 different GT-14 models and I don't feel like digging up all those wiring diagrams to see what model uses what ignition switch.

Our 18 month old granddaughter and zI took a ride on the C160. We just idle around a little since I didn’t have any ear muffs for her. She loves to crawl up and sit on the tractor.

We picked up a parts tractor for a black hood restoration project for my Son and I. The plastic dash piece was worth the overall price and everything else was a bonus.

So I went to another estate sale today. I picked up this rusty old cleaver for 10 bucks. Watched a few videos on restorations but I wanted to clean it up without using any power tools. Came out pretty good but I'd like to get some more of the stains out of the metal. I used steel wool, vinegar, some emery cloth. Sanded the handle and rubbed linseed oil over all of it. Looked up the brand name... Briddell. I guess it's a pretty good one. Don't really have a use for it but I thought it was pretty cool. Any suggestions on cleaning it up some more without using any power tools?

Congratulations Ed and Mrs. K. There have been 22,282 days from the day you were married up to today. If you’ve been sleeping 8 hours daily since then you have slept a total of 7,427 days or 20.33 years. You spent 33% of your life sleeping. Since night and day always follow each other, there were precisely 754 full moons after you were born up to this day. On Sunday, September 8th, 1963 77th US Women’s Tennis: Maria Fraser beats Margaret Smith Court #1 US song: My Boyfriend's Back by The Angels #1 UK song: She Loves You by The Beatles Popular movie: The Executioner of Venice directed by Luigi Capuano. Scottish Lotus driver Jim Clark wins the Italian Grand Prix at Monza to clinch his first F1 World Drivers Championship; Clark's 5th GP win of the season. Milwaukee Braves future Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Warren Spahn ties Christy Mathewson with 13 x 20-win seasons. The 16 Gemini astronaut candidates began training in parachute landing techniques. The training involved being towed to 400 feet by a parasail, then releasing the towline and gliding to the ground. This training was necessary because in a low-level abort, the pilot would eject from the spacecraft and need to descend by parachute. But your wedding had to be the most enduring of all of these events. All of the sports records have been surpassed, new movies and songs have come and gone but you are still going strong.

This morning I finished removing a few more tins and gas tank to clean and replace bushing. Wile I’m on it I mind as well take care of the axle seals, remove the hubs.I don’t really have a good tool for that yet. Removing hubs is probably my least favorite job,I have a extra one in case I break one. The left side I think maybe was exposed to weather more as the tire was a real pia just to remove the lugs. All in all though this tractor is in pretty good shape for sitting in a corn field for many yrs. Hope I’m not boring 🥱 too many with these post a couple pix

Part 4 Weld them up after tack. Ugly welding but it's solid enough: Test fit works: Painted satin Red Apple as that was what the hardware store had in a darker red. Lever added to Tach-O-Matic and deck installed. It works! : End Part 4. Final Part.

I find adding two 1/8" NPT street ells to my grease gun gives me a lot of options on hard to reach zerk fittings. They are just snug so I can rotate the coupler in both axis.

Today I remover the dozer blade from the 418-C and installed the leaf blower in preparation for the annual deluge of leaves we have. When I built the blower I used an eight inch round air duct elbow to direct the air flow but replaced it with a shorter rectangular sheet metal piece. Works as well and doesn't stick out nearly as far.

Nice buy, I love old knives and cookery tools. Hard to recover the surface once it's pitted, but you have managed to keep a lot of the character there. I'd have probably bought it too, despite having no use for it. Sometimes it's just nice to have a thing for the sake of it.

@ D-MAC , MINERAL OIL ON THAT , just an initial soaking will help on existing PATINA . linseed oil was a good start , I go very easy on any old pick up , just want to retain what's there . saved a lot of original paint , pete

@Brockport Bill This is what I use on the tires, spray it and leave it on not wiping it. Just wiping whatever may get on the rims. It’ll stay shiny for quite some time, it’s not exactly cheap but it works well. I forgot what I used on the seat? Maybe the same stuff? Whatever I used does make you want to slide off the seat! Reminds me of Armoralling a bench seat so it was super slippery, then making hard right turns so the girl would slide over next to you!!! Kids now will never experience that!!!

Some of you may remember my buddy Bill. I fixed his Bronco 14 a while ago. He bought this whole setup brand new in 1968 ! I love it when he talks about it because his face lights up with pride. Anyway, he lives in a small cottage on the water less than a mile away from me and has a newer box store Cub Cadet to mow his lawn with. The other day he called and said the Cub keeps throwing the belt off the mower deck. I really didn’t want to work on it right away especially when it’s close to 90 degrees outside. So I decided to run over there and just mow the grass for him. He is a super nice guy and I really enjoy helping him. He always tries to pay me for helping him, but I will never take a cent for it. I’m a firm believer in karma. After mowing I thought this might be a good time for a picture or two, since I’m at the beach! In the background we are looking north towards the North Fork of Long Island. Beyond that would be the Long Island Sound and then Connecticut. Here’s Bill a year and a half ago on his Bronco, and my 418-C, hope you enjoy!

Added your serial to the file. Let me know if I have read the numbers correctly. Strange twist - We have serials for the 1978 model that are higher than yours with the same build date. Model 81-16BS01

I took a couple of the drawings floating around here on RS, and made some 3D models. From that I made 2D drawings. I enjoy making the 3D models, the 2D drawings not so much, but from the 3D models , it isn't too bad to create the 2D drawings. The fun part is creating the 3D models though. These were pretty basic and simple. Below are the Front Blade Lift Link drawing, the second one is of the clevis hitch, and the third is the dual wheel adapter. Keep in mind, these are my drawings, but they're based on what was floating around here on RS for quite some time. Front Blade Lift Links.pdf Clevis Hitch.pdf Dual Wheel Adapter.pdf

I was really worried about the cheap predator that I put in my 606 roller so I actually did two braces off of the engine. I crisscrossed them so that it gives it some horizontal and vertical support. Jim Kemp’s mufflers are built well and are heavy. It’s not pretty but seems to be holding up well.
