This looks a bit like an AI communication. Slightly different definition though... Artificial Idiocracy.

I did some touch up painting on the 312, added foot rest treads, new tie rods and reupholster the seat using the method I learned from @Sparky. I also sandblasted a couple of pieces and painted them and just wire brushed and painted another.

I don't see how this is going to help jamokes like me any. I don't see any SAE/Imperial/MM stamp. How the hell am I going to tell which end is metric?

Flipped the plow edge on this nasty 42”er. Came to me in this condition. She’s about as straight as the Home Depot 2x4’s !! Only had to replace one bolt and nut

Drive down to your local auto parts store. Talk to an actual person. If they screw up you have a face to blame and an owner/ manager to make it right. Everyone wants to save money and just push a button and bingo it's on your door step. This is what happens.

I have said it before. Starting Artificial Intelligence while there is still Natural Stupidity in many companies is not a Life Saver. Money Saver or Frustration Saver!

8 speeds have 4 seals. 2 axle. 1 input. 1 brake. All 4 can be changed from the outside. What to watch for is that often a leaking seal is a symptom... not the cause. A loose wheel bearing can make a seal go bad.

I now have 99% of the components I need for this build. Just waiting for the ok from my oncologist to start fabrication. My goal is to do as much as I can before surgery. I have the driver's dash components on order just waiting for A to Z to have time to fill my order. Not a big deal, I'm a long way off from needing them. Any irreversible modifications to any tractor parts during this build was damaged when I received it.(I don't cut up or modify good parts)

The whole problem is caused by the way big companies hire employees. First, they hook up the cattle trailer to the over the road tractor and stop at each village and pick the idiots, this continues until there is a full load. The load is dropped off at a call center. Slowly the head count of idiots decreases until the cattle trailer is on the road again. The decrease in idiots may increase if trailer has a half load of zipper heads. A zipper head is defined as follows: Never get to work on time. When zippy finally arrives, it fines it assigned work spot, unzip's the zipper on its skull and places it brain is a safe location until quitting time when it places said brain back in its skull and hauls a&& out the door.

I usually order from Rock Auto or Summit Racing. Was missing parts in my Rock Auto order once and it was fixed within 24 hours. Never had a problem with Summit, and they will match most places prices

I don't wash cars, ok I might rinse a bit if muck off every now and then, but I don't wash and wax and stuff. Maybe that will change when I get my brand new car next week. But I've paid extra for a ceramic coating that mean you only have to rinse the bodywork to get it showroom fresh again, we shall see. But this morning I decided to wash Sandra's car. Not sure if I told you but we were trading it in against the new car. That was just before she decided to reverse it into the brick gate pillar of our drive. How? Who knows, but she says she just wasn't concentrating. So she doesn't want the responsibility of driving the new car and wanted a "banger" to use for herself. Well the trade in only has 50,000 miles on the clock and we've had it from new so why not keep it and use it as her runabout. So there's the plan, wife has a decent runabout and I get the shiny new car. So I washed and waxed it for her. Obviously that doesn't get rid of the scratches and dents she has accumulated over the years (I swear she drives by feel not sight!) But it looks better and smells nicer inside now.

I got a reply from a YouTube channel that has done these. If I get permission I'll post what he sent. I may have a tab missing from the float. More to come later there... In other news.. I have a nice seat here that I cleaned up yesterday. It's a very odd material. Rough. Grippy. Not at all smooth and shiny. It should be EXCELLENT for our rough terrain and woods usage. I used a tap to clean out the exhaust based on how another one of my C160-8 Tecumseh powered tractors is set up. I'll get a pipe to thread into the cylinder head instead of relying on two small bolts in a flange.

Thanks John. As long as I'm topside I'm going to give it my all. I will be modifying the bed a little as I repair it. But keep the same look. I may add another side pocket to each side.

That plow is Minty! I was gifted a plow by @buckrancher back when I had Sqonkfest 2014. It was gnarly. @AMC RULES had tp practically stand on it and beat , banged and ground on it to make it usable!

There is a somewhat local repair shop on YT. Dude does some incredible work. Aftermarket parts are getting to be a crapshoot at best. Quite often a car comes into his shop with new parts already installed from Amazon, Rock auto, ect. Customers usually have the receipts with them. He has a big U pull it yard about 10 min from his shop and he ends up going there for sensors and injectors ect because the new parts are junk. He had a car that got towed in because it was running so rich the oil would get fouled. Had a brand new coolant sensor that read about 20 degrees off. Got another new sensor and it was only about 15 degrees off. He went and pulled a used one from the junk yard. fixed the car for a couple of bucks.

Awesome stuff EB! You know, a guy with the right tools could make a sleeve flange pipe tube apparatus to support the exhaust both ways. Pipe threads AND tapped holes.

Kohler K91 or K90 engines fit well, as do Clinton B-1290. Some transmission parts are still available. If you are interested in popping one apart for inspection, here is your Bible: https://www.wheelhorseforum.com/topic/61268-so-you-want-to-save-that-wh-3-piece-tranny/

Great pictures !!! I will try to get some posted when I get home from work. I'm glad Mr. & Mrs. Pullstart were able to come the show and have a good time. My wife & I have pretty much celebrated our wedding anniversary at this show for the last 21yrs. For our 25th anniversary, we decided that we would like to renew our vows at the Unionville church on the show grounds. Kevin officiated the ceremony for us and did a most excellent job. Informal with a little humor yet staying mostly traditional. Thank you again Kevin, this meant a lot to Gretel & I.

Welcome back! This is correct. The side that looks like it doesn't have any bolts is actually bolted from the bottom. Through the frame up into the engine. When a 416 has a single cylinder Kohler it's likely built around 1985, 6, 7. That's a transition period for pulling/pushing the choke from two different directions. It would appear that someone has installed an aftermarket carburetor which is incorrect. You can try to rebuild that aftermarket carburetor and live with the choke knob or try to procure the correct carb. I personally will no longer run aftermarket carburetors on Big Blocks having seen several that were bad. Other folks on this site have had better luck.

I ordered a cheap 6 in 1 trimmer that has a power head, extension, pole saw, hedge trimmer, string trimmer and numerous accessories. Upon testing the chainsaw wouldn't oil so I contacted the company. Below is the nonsense but in the end I had two complete units and the failed oil pump was only a tiny spring pin that I had in stock. ME The chain oil pump does not work. Could you send a new head with a good pump? I tried adjusting the output to all 3 positions and checked the hoses to make sure they are open. Saw is new and has not cut wood but failed testing the chain oil output. Jun 18, 2024 Vevor Customer Service Dear customer, Thank you for your inquiry.
