Last December I had a vision on a color scheme of a satin black base with gloss accents in mind . So I went into my parts inventory grabbed a frame, and just started building . 1955 /56 hood on a 1958 tractor .

Just wanted to give a big thanks to Docwheelhorse for the cart, cafoose for hauling and handling transaction and Pullstart for letting cafoose know I was needing help with transportation. Finally home but worth the wait plus me and cafoose even done a little “horse trading” when he finally came home lol..

Zetor Tractors Following the end of World War Two the European agricultural and construction industries were in need of tractors. As was the case for other European countries, Czechoslovak industry faced the challenge to construct a practical, light weight tractor suitable for mass production. Unlike other countries, the Communist Czechoslovak government formed a National Committee and commissioned František Musil in June 1945 to fulfil the task of determining who would be the sole future manufacturer of tractors for the country. That was the beginning of the history of the world-famous Czech producer of agricultural technology - Musil´s prototype "Z" became the winner. By March of 1946 the first tractors were delivered to eager customers. A lack of machining tools slowed the production of tractors because the Nazis had confiscated them for their wartime production facilities. As these underground facilities were discovered and the machines returned to factories production rates increased. By 1947, about 3400 had been produced. In 1948, the Zetor 15 was approved for production, and it was manufactured until 1949. The Zetor 25A and 25K were manufactured until 1961 and 158,570 were produced, of which 97,000 were exported. In the late 1950s, ZETOR was the first to introduce the concept of using unified parts to produce tractors worldwide. Zetor introduced many innovative features for the time imcluding the world's first safety cabin with rollover protection system, mounted on vibration isolators. The new cabin also helped to reduce noise in the cabin to below 85 dB. Thanks to these innovative procedures, the Zetor brand was globally acclaimed and topped the charts of global tractor manufacturers. The end of Soviet domination from 1948 to 1989 offered challenges coupled with opportunities for Zetor. The state-owned enterprise faced bankruptcy due to the instability of the Koruna. On January 1, 1993, Czechoslovakia separated peacefully into two new countries, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The Czech owned company had lost its government ownership foundation and had to learn how to function in a free enterprise environment. In June 2002, HTC Holdings of Slovakia became the owner of Zetor, they invested a great deal of money to stabilize and restructure the company. In 2015, at the Agritechnica exhibition in Hanover, Germany, Zetor introduced the design concept "Zetor by Pininfarina". The concept was applied to all products and model ranges of the Zetor brand. The BBC said of the Italian Pininfarina studio design that it is the most sexy tractor in the world. Zetor has become a worldwide enterprise in North America, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Poland, Slovakia and India. In 2015, 86% of total production of the company was exported to foreign countries. The name Zetor, which was later to become the name of the brand and which was used by the state Company to mark the tractors, was created by Rostislav Sapák, a member of the Czech Economic Department, in the spring of 1946. The name is formed of the syllable Zet (the spelling of the letter Z in the alphabet, the first letter of the name of the Arms Factory “Zbrojovka”) and the suffix –or from the word tractor. It also relates to the phrase "farming tractor" in Czech: "ZEmědělský trakTOR"

having recently had L 4- L5 , spine enhancement ,operation been regularly using my parking lot , as well as in store cart time to learn to renagege my , back strength . number one is to slowly , steadily , walk upright and gently support your vertical stance . make a plan to any walking support opportunity , always look for the farthest car / cart , pick up . realise this is only my view of vertical walking , but you have to loose it to want it back .eliminate the forward walking bend , set up your own comfortable movement point . also have a stiff foam pad / with ice for seat time , back support . definitely a gain from where I was . dr is very glad for my recovery plan , creaky pete

The clamping method I have used is as follows; Glue, install the brake band on the tractor, set the parking brake, let it set-up overnight. This method ensures the brake shoe and band are in proper alignment for actual use.

Just got done installing my new seat I got at the big show from Brian at K & B Horse Parts @76c12091520h I had to drill new holes in the old mounting brackets for front to rear spacing. The dimples in the brackets were perfectly spaced at 7 inches like my 520 so all I did was drill out the dimples then it fit perfectly Brian did tell me the spacing was off so I expected to have to modify something.

That would be my youngest. Every time he came back to the campsite he had more wheels and tires! I'm not sure what his master plan is but we hauled home 1 pair of mounted front tires, 1 pair of mounted skinny ags, 1 pair of of mounted medium width ags, 1 pair of mounted 6-12 turfs, 1 pair mounted 23-8.50 turfs, 1 pair of 23-10.50 turfs, and six pairs of rims of varying widths. And between him and his older brother, they have had every combo on the 702 & 854 multiple times since we got home. My wife and I were very impressed with all the kids around the show and the fact that they all could just mingle and do there own thing without really worrying about them. That's a rare thing in today's world unfortunately. I was hoping to get both of my boys broke in to wheeling and dealing and the little one just ran with it.

I have a neighbor and very good friend who is very frugal and has toys galore, from lawn tractors, boats, motorcycles, minibikes, jet skis, snowmobiles, older cars with carbs and several of each, who refuses to pay the higher price for non-ethanol gas. Every time one of these toys is to be used, it won't start. He begins his ritual of removing the carb and cleaning it due to the ethanol gas. I keep telling him "God created you for the sole purpose to clean carbs." I on the other hand refuse to run ethanol gas in any of my engines with carbs. I travel across county line, insert my credit card, ignoring the price, fill my gas cans with non-ethanol gas, take my receipt and go home. It's the price I have to pay to operate my machines.

T'was a good weekend. Camping a couple hours north. Did some hiking. Got to meet my new grandkid.

Buddy of mine (Cub Cadet guy) that lives a couple towns over texts me that there’s a WH plow in the metal dumpster at his transfer station. He snagged it for me and I picked it up today “free” Real nice 42” long frame plow and the plow edge isn’t ground down!! Missing the angle handle but I have a spare one here.

Finally got the big Dodge Cummins cab and chassis rear driveline completed. A bearing shed its rollers due to a cheap Dodge clip designed to retain the dual bearing casette on the axle. She got hot and shed some rollers inside the live axle. They said it was non repairable but I fixed it with a mill file and a special jig to keep the 2" 16 TPI die centered on the outside Yesterday, i finally got the driveline hooked up. A long hospital stay a little over a year ago put crawling around beneath the beast on hold. Every seal on the rear was replaced. New brakes and U-joints and such. all that awful ground up metal somehow cleaned up and new gear oil and posi fluid. That truck can easily scale at 12000 GVW and the Diesel is happy to get twenty plus MPG on the road trips. That cheap dodge clip was replaced with a Chevy retaining nut , a square key in the keyway, and the much better retaining ring. Now that Cummins will sing again. Just in time because the little 1500 my sister gave me has a shot transmission and the radiator sprung a leak

Kinda like a barbed wire fence, protects the property without obstructing the view.

I got the new lift cable installed Saturday. By loosening the seat pan tool box and loosening the rear foot rest bolts I was able to sneak the new cable in place. No pictures, but my son watched the lift cable when I pushed backwards and no binding. However if I backed into the pile to push it higher the cable bound at the Clevis. We learned this could be avoided if I lifted the implement as I backed up the pile, or just avoided backing higher on the pile. Then back to work. This pic gives a better look at the rippers. They are replaceable if ever needed. This was a typical bite of dirt. When I added 275 pounds on top of the Gannon I could over flow it. (Don’t ask how I added the extra weight) This is one pass with the ripper. I usually made 2-3 passes with the ripper so it was well cut up to then blade down My beastly C160 take a well deserved rest. I have a 2nd hydraulic valve from a GT14 installed on this tractor but have not completed building some sort of rear hydraulic cylinder mount. Seeing as how I end up with these dirt work project every few years I really need to move this up my (wife’s) long list of priorities. Really helping my sons with their house projects is high on her list (I just happen to find things these fine tractors can help me out with)

An engine, a seat, and a couple of other parts came home with me. Waiting to hear from @Bill D on getting together to hand it over! @Tractorhead and I started an overhaul of the 854 S/G and I’m finishing that up today with the install of the adjustable regulator I picked up at the show. Will be a slight delay as I just discovered I’m out of 12ga stranded wire for the regulator-to-ammeter connection--sigh.

Absolutely, glad I found a friend like cafoose that is close to me that enjoys Wheel Horses as much as I do.

This use of the lead free card to promote E-15 shows how gullible we are. W Lead was phased out in ALL gasoline in the USA by the Clean Air Act passed in 1970 and totally banned in 1996. So the scam, lies and fake ads continue.

High heels are about as bad as flip-flops for workin' the fields......

On the 857 tractor I only did the part under the seat. But on my B-80, I wiped the whole tractor down with it using a rag. It’s dry to the touch, not greasy or oily.

Premium with out corn squeezin's = $4.29. Over 20 tractors, some that sit for extended periods of time and no fuel related issues = priceless. Always a good feeling when you can turn the key & get the task at hand done.

I can kind of understand high heels. They're good for stompin' moles. But that "dress" (or whatever it's called) isn't worth a flip when it comes to greasing the tractor or changing oil.

Thanks for compliment. I don't ever really see "nice" 953s. Think most them were worked hard??? Here's what it looked like before restoration. R&B Wheel Horse Stables did the work. Not sure when but it was a while ago. Buckeyes (on forum) purchased it from them. He was a great caretaker of the tractor & the other 2 I bought from him.

Swapped out the front blade for mowing deck on the E-141. Used the C-105 to lift front end so rolling deck in was a breeze...

Put on all the tin and decals...waiting for new keyswitch then ready to fire it up.. More pics to follow

I’ve ordered a complete Gravely unit (since in a week I’ll need my mower running!) but bring what you don’t need to the JCM meet & greet and I’ll gladly pay you on Tuesday (And with that insurance policy in place, I’ll never break another bowl) 😁

@cafoose , been using aftermarket seat springs for years , some of the set ups I use , never held up by a simple switch / swap . best springs and rubber mount are for a sifter spring plate , very strong bolt on rubber slide point . pete

The parking pawl is part of the transaxle (a wheel horse part) not related to the sunstrand hydro gear number...

I have to presume that the 'manuals' referred to in this thread are the OEM service manuals for the Sundstrand Hydrogear models. In addition to those excellent reference manuals, I offer here a self-made hands-on experience .pdf file for free download. I have overhauled a dozen or more of these units and hopefully this file will benefit others. The photos in this file are in no particular order but are usually captioned. Just over 700 / snow cab. I have new rear fenders and decals for it but the customer wants it as is.......

Opinions vary I know, but I run ethanol-free in everything that has a carburetor. I have to do this year round. Here in this area, relative humidity is high year round. Everything (fuel tanks, sediment bowls, oil sumps, etc...) have issues with condensation. The only way I would run ethanol fuel is if I can remove every drop from the fuel system after each and every use.

Working on it. Have a 704 trying to get running just for them.... But they do get out on the "horses". Just put it in 1st gear and walk along side
