Plow Day record set The most plow blades pulled by a single tractor is 50, achieved at the James Valley Threshing Show in Andover, South Dakota, USA, on 11 September 2022. This massive plow was made by joining five historic 10-bottom John Deere gang plows, each with five operators, and it was pulled by the 150-hp Case, a reproduction steam-powered traction engine built by Kory Anderson (USA). The 150-hp Case (the largest steam tractor ever built) generates an astonishing 5,000 lb-ft (6779 Newton-meters) of torque, allowing it to exert the massive amount of force required to pull so many plows through the Earth. By contrast, several garden tractors taking part in the J & C WH Stables Plow Days hosted by @WHX?? accomplished the same task, it just took them a bit longer.

Huh. Did you know if you park an empty trailer in just the right place at just the right time a WH will appear. Honest.....it just happened. A C-100 to be exact lol.

The subframe appears to be woefully underbuilt. and mounted too far forward. I guess they were attempting to mount it where the cab doors can be opened when you need to bail-out as the tractor tips forward and the loaded bucket crushes the frame.

We have three meters, one for the house, one for the guest house and one for my shop. Each month I receive three reports and recommendations on saving energy which are a total farce. The average bill for the shop is under $ 20.00 a month including the fixed rate of $ 14.00 for having an electrical connection. They tell me my electrical consumption for the shop is average. The guest house was unoccupied for quite some time with a single table lamp on a timer and it too was average. Our house is ALWAYS listed as above average and the suggestion is that we reduce the temperature on our water heater and put an insulation blanket around it. That is a wonderful idea except for the fact that our water heater is a gas fired tankless unit. They also suggest that we freeze in the winter and roast in the summer but I don't suspect they have nerve enough to tell my wife that in person!

The 150hp case hooked on to an eliminator in Burnett WI. Yes it may look big but it looks like it would fit on my 6.5' x 12' trailer with no problem. I'm sure my home built single axle & little Dakota would haul it.

There are some small details that are wrong, the 50 bottom plow was made up of (one each) 14, 12, 10, 8, 6 bottom plows. They have only been able to dyno it to 5000 lbs torque, the belt was the limiting factor (jumping), it is estimated to actually be closer to 8000 torque. I made the trip out to Andover, SD in 2021 when it pulled 44 bottoms (missing the 6 bottom from the 50 setup). The microchip isn't for location, that to shut you off if they think you are a threat.

Finally got a chance to use the snow blower on my 520H today, did great .

Got snow machine out and ran it around the hood. All good. Might get .0002" of snow this weekend so gotta be ready... The E-141 doesn't need warming up for some reason. It's just ready...

When I had a single stage, I found it easier to install the flag pin on the lift bar first. The pin goes in the top hole of the lower bar. Then lift the blower by hand and support it with blocks. Then slide the lift tube on the flag and on the lug of the blower. Now is the time to add washers to the flag rod if you need more lift.

It would make good start to build a custom tractor under and sit in it kinda like a skid steer. Turn it around and put on the back over the trans with steering in the rear maybe Go get it Ed. You need another project anyway and you can use that new gen/compressor on the back of it for counter weight!

I was thinking about adjusting the forward rake of the plow like that. If i am not careful when I hit the spot where the sidewalk and driveway meet my plow blade catches .I am thinking if i adjust it like yours it might pass over it.

What happens outside of our forum should stay there.

Ha ha,had this happen to me today. Of course getting ready for the big snow storm, tractor doesn’t start. Cleaned the points, got starter fluid, still no go. Sparkplug pulled out was wet with fuel, but “looked” like it sparked good. Even went so far as opening the vent plate to make sure the valves were moving properly. Felt suction on carb and pressure in the exhaust. Got a new spark plug, and BAM fired right up. 🙄

Is this kinda like a farm type "Happy meal"?

I've done that on both mine. Two advantages: doesn't catch cracks / joints and doesn't mark up driveway as much. Drawback is it doesn't scrape down as well... I prefer it...

It fit a little better on our 14k trailer, still worried about the tires.

Grinchsr raises a very important question I often don't consider. Is your driveway newer asphalt, concrete, or do you NOT want it scratched? A high density plastic would be a great alternative. For steels I'd lean towards a piece of whatever was available to be had and try to find something harder like a skidsteer blade. Those are on the jungle site and other places for reasonable prices. Far as sizing goes I have a pretty wicked tendency towards go big or go home but I have a hydraulic lift doing the work. If I was running a manual lift I'd stay lighter on materials.

I would suggest short of a negative exchange here on the forum, that should stay on Craigslist. If something happens here, take it up with a moderator.

My highest is ~25 usually in January and February... And yes, they are monitoring and building information about all users. Here in Michigan a big part is DTE trying to figure out grid needs for EV's, because no, the existing grid isn't ready...
