6 pointsWhen I started PT in early September some preliminary evaluation was done. Friday (the 13th) a reevaluation was done and all of the strength readings were at least fifty percent better than the preliminary measurements. Look out Mister Universe. Today's PT session was great. The therapist had me walking without a walker or cane. I was walking between two parallel bars about four feet apart and on the third lap (about eight feet) I didn't have to touch the bars until I stopped at the end. I wasn't too steady on my feet, definitely not ready to take a walk in the park but it felt so good.

5 pointsTrina and I have been looking for a tractor for friends of ours. We've had several people contact us. We decided to go with this GT1800 from @Jayzauto Here's me Bear 🐻 EB driving it outta his shop. We picked up a cab and wheel weights for this rig as well. Also got a Single Stage Tall Chute Snowblower for me to try out. We already have a Dual Stage Snowblower that @PWL216 was nice enough to drop by the house last week. Our friends machine will be outfitted with that. I'll supply a 48" mowing deck too. They'll have a good complete outfit... And even better.... BBT as the Lead Maintenance Technician. Trina started tearing into the GT1800 today. Here's a pile of pics in no particular order. We'll have a few questions coming up as we've had VERY little experience with the 80s rides.

5 pointsGot a set of original paint rims today and got it sitting on all 4 tires again. Much better than those bright white rims and I think those old General front tires look good.

4 points"This is not what I was expecting nor how quickly it to happen to me.", my 88 year old mother told me yesterday as we were walking the the hallway of the assisted living home we had just moved her into. Since August 16, mom has been in the ER or the clinic pretty much every 2nd or 3rd day. She has endured 4 UTI's (Urinary Tract Infection), a mild case of Covid and this week a she will have an MRI of her liver. She is on her 6th or 7th antibody. I didn't realize how much UTI's affect the elderly (no pain like we would expect but intense confusion and forgetfulness). I mention this because our older parents can suffer physical and mental issues so quickly and their quality of life can degrade right before our eyes. It behooves each of us to be vigilant of the people who loved us unwaveringly. Mom has been very active. Until a couple of month's ago, she lived alone and mowed and maintained her 1 1/2 acre yard. She still gardened and would jump in he pickup to head to the city to shop a will. Mom did most of the driving to the family farm three hours away when we went there earlier this summer. We are hoping that rehab and careful watch care in the assisted living home will restore mom's health and mental function so she can return to her home. She is looking forward to getting the keys back to her pickup (She and I agreed that the keys and medicine she was taking should be removed from her grasp while the UTI induced confusion challenged her judgement.) so she regain some of the freedom she is accustom to having. May I suggest: Keep a close eye on our elderly folks! By the way, for those of you who pray, her name is Erma.

4 pointsHa! I see the Rolle Brothers decal on it, and also can tell it’s a 1984. There’s a good chance that tractor and my Work Horse sat on the showroom floor together! Their showroom was like a car dealer, with huge plate glass windows but instead of cars it was full of Wheel Horses. The decal shows a picture of the building to kinda give you an idea of what I’m talking about. I’d be happy to answer any questions you have Eric. If I can!!!

4 pointsI have a 312, a 417, and a 520. All have the Eaton 1100 and hydraulic lift and foot pedal motion control. IMO, this is the best transmission unless you plan to run a tiller. Then I would go with an 8 speed. Due to the fuel consumption and the enormous amount of heat, I only use my 520 for winter snow duty. I use the 312H with 42 RD and 42 SD decks to do my mowing. I use the 417 w 48" SD for back up mowing and when mowing the fence lines. The wider deck reaches further under the bottom wire. I never tried it, but I feel the 312 would easily handle the 48" deck. I store all my tractors inside so I don't have any issues, but the 520s are notorious for wiring problems if stored outside. If I were limited to one tractor for mowing duty only, it would be the 312H.

4 pointsThank you @JCM for the kind words—Zach is quite a kid (I’m privileged to be his dad)! He adopted this hairstyle a month ago and I like it (has a classic 1950’s feel to it). I love spending time with my kiddos and I’m certainly realizing how fast they grow up. @Coulter Caleb is already out of high school and in the working world (cabinet maker apprenticeship) and Claudia is 1/4 through her senior year of HS. I’m trying to savor every moment I can now and also carefully navigate the relationship transition from parent/child to friend/advisor as they step into adulthood. We enjoy our little tractors in this family for sure (especially the WH brand😉😁)😎🙌🏻

4 pointsExcellent picture @PeacemakerJack . Reminds me of when I was that age with that haircut. I think my Mother used brylcream to make it stand up in the front. Only difference is your son is a lucky boy being around a bunch of WH tractors in the family. I hope those memories stay with that young man the rest of his life. And I'm sure they will with a Dad like you.

3 pointsWell it is with great pleasure I can say that that 1257Heavy is wired up and RUNNING! With a little help from @ebinmaine I managed to wire up my 1st tractor from scratch, and a starter generator one at that. I don't mind re wiring stuff but from scratch isn't my Forte. So now I just have to wait for new pulleys to come in and next big thing on list is getting the drive belt installed and working. Still have a bunch of stuff to finish but it's small things and buttoning up. Just crazy to think this machine came over to me as a frame and engine with front wheels to hear it run for 1st time since I got it really made me happy and gave me a push to get back into my wheelhorses, life have been crazy the past year and a half and extremely hard to say the least, and it has kept me away from my stable but hopfuly soon things will settle down and I can find some wrench time again. P.s I don't know how to post videos here so I posted a screen shot of the video of it running and it like Vroom vroom crackle pop!

3 pointsIndeed. Counteract this with shrink wrap to spread out the bend so there isn’t a single flex point. Nothing wrong with a second layer over the first one, either. On my trailer wiring, I use those solder/shrink connectors and then shrink wrap on top and then “liquid electrical tape” to make sure I have good seals. If you have the room and are really meticulous, wire clamps and looms can help too. It is important not to put tension on wiring connections.

3 pointsJust in case you're not getting enough motivation from the other half I'll help you out My wife-- " What kind of wood is that" "The color on the left is different from the other end" "Did you put enough screws to hold it?" "Is it going to hold me?" "You test it first" "I see a little space on the corner!" "Are you going to be working on that all day? I need ___________ fixed too!"

3 pointsI'm thinking that's what I did last time I bought it too. I have the advantage of one of my local NAPA stores being the literal Warehouse. When they can't find something I take a part number from Mike like above and show them they ACTUALLY DO have it.

3 pointsBit of progress today, I fitted a wall plate to the hinge side and cut a piece of 19mm flooring ply for the trap door. Fitted a wall plate on the closure side and checked that all seems to fit OK. Next it will be making the frame and hatch for the head room access. Then hopefully the hinges will have arrived and I can start planning the support frame for the door.

3 pointsDuring the big ‘20 shut down, I made sure to watch as much YouTube from musicians as possible, and maintaining to NOT skip ads. Some were 10+ minutes long but it was an easy way for me to help out those not working like they were used to.

3 pointsAdvertising is needed to sell something, that‘s clear. In TV the Advertising time nearly raises the same time as a good movie what is strange imho. Thats my reason i have just once a Month the TV Active. I didn‘t like Soaps or Games-Tv or more worse „Reality TV“, but if i like to see a good Movie, i watch it on a streaming portal. On YouTube the permanent advertising annoy‘s me also. Another reason i stop using my Account for the moment. if it is on the Start or in the End i can deal with, but all 30 sec. a advertising ad is imho a nono for me. The bigger they become, the more ads they place. That is my feeling about.

2 pointsSort of almost at Side Shot Front End Friday combo status but it's a twoferr. My 75 C160 Automatic and Trina's Military Tribute Tractor, Millie. I'm moving a snowblower for a friend. She's got her momma over and working on firewood.
