8 pointsWell folks .. The Calendar Production Professional AKA BBT AKA Trina will be making the Redsquare Calendar again this fall. The theme she's going for is.. Pairs. Two. Double trouble. Trina will be looking for: Original or close to original appearance. Restored or patina or Still in the Work Clothes. Post your pics of TWO TRACTORS. All seasons. All environment. NO humans in the pics please. Animals are ok. 🙂 Recommended "Special Days" may be requested and will be approved by The Moderators before addition. She will be accepting the pics until Saturday November 11th ONLY. The calendar will be released shortly after. Thanks!!

8 pointsDefinitely not in pristine condition but it seems run smooth and the deck is quite as well. My first magnum. Cleanup and check over upcoming. Hoping to use it to replace an IH Cadet 81 for mowing between the yard and the field. The hood is a little banged up and missing one of the bezels that surround the headlight. Deck is in need of talc but is solid with nothing more than surface rust.

5 pointsGot the tranny back together this morning and a few parts cleaned up. I gave the seat a couple coats of satin finish clear instead of an oil treatment, hoping to keep the seat of my pants clean. The rest of the tractor will be an oil finish.

5 pointsAre you talking about a low back like this one which is the original off a 76 B-80: Or you can get these (slightly) padded covers for either a square or round pan.

5 pointsLike sitting on an HD Road King at a long traffic light in July with temps in the 90's on a sunny day. @953 nut
-
5 pointsI had a 78, bought in 88. Plowed with it too! I think I only had it for a few years and finally sold it because it got around a solid 8-10 miles per gallon!

4 pointsThis is going pretty far back, but here are some favorites of multiples if not pairs, and no people A single of Putt Putt jumped in there, I really like that one. Yeah, not many originals here…

4 pointsHere is a link to the 856 parts manual. Circle the parts you are looking for and attach it as a picture. https://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/1843-tractor-1966-856-da-om-ipl-wiring-rev-snpdf/ If you can't do that, then just list the page, item number, and part number you are looking for.

4 pointsUnfortunately many look only at the pros and ignore the cons. Some form of energy must be used to turn those electric producing generators, sun, wind, hydro, coal, oil, gas, nuke all have some cons. The 16 lbs. of lithium required to make a typical electric auto battery requires the mining of 300,000 lbs of earth.

4 pointsI certainly would not want a hot Onan between my legs. I wondered that myself and have nicknamed them the ball burners.

4 pointsI always have a couple rigs set up for winter snow clearing. My tractor isn’t ready yet but the one I leave at the in-laws so I can clear snow at their place is now ready to ship out. 308-8 with inside and outside weights plus 4 link chains (prefer 2 link but it’s what I have on the shelf so…) The plow is a 42” so I don’t over stress the little Magnum 8 power plant .

4 pointsYeah, online sales delivered to your door is definitely the new thing now. It's just too easy and plenty of impulse buying too. Shuts down the small business guys as they can provide exceptional service but not at the discounted costs. You could've saved 2 hours of driving around and clogging up the streets to make room for ALL of those delivery trucks. LOL My daughter, SIL and grand kids order stuff all the time and some days there are 4-5 different deliveries. So much for carbon footprints, greenhouse gasses, pollution and climate change! All of which they complain about. There's always pros and cons to everything.

4 pointsOkay since I’m on this fire truck kick I figured I’d add this, our 2000, 2500 series Chevy. Still in service and has 15,000 miles. Looks like this would fit in perfectly @Pullstart’s collection!

3 pointsGet off yer duff... Sounds like a personal problem... Stay tuned for a REAL ORIGINAL pair EB ... getting the whole herd out for plowday line up...

3 pointsOur landfill doesn't allow anything brought in to be removed. Scrap yard will, but at the retail cost of scrap so they always make money. Once saw a nice 314-H at the dump. Asked the guy why he trashed it, and he said he put a screwdriver in the spark plug hole and it didn't move when rotating the flywheel. When I told him that Kohlers had the spark plug over the valves instead of the cylinder, he said I didn't know what I was talking about. He also refused to just let me take it before he weighed in. As you found with your trailer find- people are bleeping stupid! Glad you saved it!
