15 pointsI made these. Not solid mounts but a lot stiffer than the dry-rotted rubber ones.

13 points@Pullstart @WHX?? @Achto Pullstart's new summer cowboy boots. Pullstart to model them at the Portage show next year. LOL!

11 points@PWL216 Paul and his wife Marty stopped by to toss a few things off their trailer today. He had a two stage snowblower for sale and I picked up a few other things too. We have a low hours but disassembled 312-8 that'll likely be used for parts to keep others going. Here's my own 1975 C160 Automatic Tractor with the snowblower hangin' out of the front. Left to right, Marty, Paul, Trina AKA BBT, me Bear/EB. Thanks for coming by guys! Great to meet you!!

11 pointsI was looking for an item and I found this seat. Yea!!!!! First pick was this and now that. Much better. Also I had a pan laying around with many holes put in from a other owner. So that worked out had to do a little cutting to fit.

9 pointsGot what I think is last of little details done on the RJ. Again......thanks to Buckeyes for selling tractor to me!

6 pointsBest part......FREE. I was talking with a buddy of last week and mentioned that I was planning to build a FEL for my Wheelhorse because I don't have enough unfinished projects sitting around. He laughed a bit and then said "I have a little one you can have". Apparently it was on a Cub Cadet he bought a few years ago and he never used it. He just wanted it out of his shop. So I drove over to his place this afternoon and there we go.....free Johnny Bucket. It's going to take a little fiddling to get it mounted up to the WH, but nothing that can't be solved with the plasma cutter and welder. The timing couldn't be better. I'm about to have 3 pretty large trees removed and the stumps ground out. This thing will make moving wood and cleaning up stump grindings MUCH more manageable.

5 pointsBeen a long time coming to have the 520 set up for plowing somewhere in the time frame of 20 years. I bought this plow new in 1990 one year after the 89 312-8 was purchased and used it for a couple of years plowing the driveway. Back then I had no idea that the 520 required a front extension kit so the front tires would clear the blade when angled. Only used it twice and decided to buy a 44'' two stage and set that up on the 520 instead. I was able to locate an Original Cab Co hardtop soft cab,and misc parts pile, basically all new , slightly used. In that pile was brackets etc of which the seller and I had no idea what their purpose was. Those were in the garage of a new house he bought and the PO left them behind. Also a rear Kwik-Way rear weight box with attaching parts etc that I still have. Last year I repainted the front side of the 48'' dozer blade and cutting edge with Rust O leum regal red. Last weekend I repainted the rear of the blade with Toro new red. Have not used the Toro paint since the early 2000's and here are my thoughts and opinions. The regal red seems to spray a wider pattern than the Toro so the overlaps are much closer when using Toro. The color has that less orange look to me than the Toro. The Toro dried much faster and able to handle it much sooner. Taking into consideration last weekend was absolutely perfect for painting and drying outdoors. I feel the Toro is a closer match than the regal when trying to get close to the original panels on the rest of the tractor. Here are some pictures as it sat today. This will be used to clean up after using the big tractor and for smaller lighter storms.I consider the 520-H semi-retired after performing flawlessly for the past 21 years. Forgot to add a big Thank you to Mike and Eric for help with the NOS rear weights Mike and the offset plow lever Eric . Chains will go on when the snow flies. Enjoy the pics all.

5 pointsAgreed! These are made from 90 shore A polyurethane material. I chose that because many aftermarket/upgraded suspension parts use polyurethane instead of rubber for increased stiffness and durability. If it's good enough for suspension stuff on cars I figured it would be good enough for a tractor.

4 pointsFew of us have been talking and we are going to the last show of the year after all.., just on Sunday . These will be the two I bring, plus the tub-cart.

4 pointsVent holes will not work when he does the cow patty stomp or he decides to take a field trip in the bus.

4 pointsI was on gabapentin for a while two years ago and it worked for me. Much of my overall body pain has returned but I just live with it. My body is about done from sports, accidents, and two falls from tree stands. I have MS. So that's my chief problem now. I can't do much but just keep plugging.

3 pointsWorking on a friends machine today, removed the spark plugs and they were pretty bad. Briggs ans Stratton brand. I have seen these before and have not been to lucky because it seems they are always needing replaced. Usually use Champion, pretty much work good and are decently priced. Plus, Champs are a throw back to my drag car days. Whats your poison, and why? Anyone using those fancy new ones? Like E3

3 pointsUsed my 1962 702 and my lawn spreader to give the lawn a Fall weed and feed treatment. Mowed first with my 314 and the recycling deck as leaves have already started to fall. It has rained for seven hours straight today. Light rain but much needed.

3 pointsThe extension kit goes on the rear of the plow frame. It lengthens the plow for 520’s with a forward swept front axle.
-
3 pointsFull safety today! My niece is in school full time now, but today is a half day! Lunch date and tractor rides!

3 pointsAfter a lot of of discussion, my son-in-law and my grandson Mason flew to Green Bay, rented a truck and a car carrier, and are ready to drive 13 hours home. But first, they are attending the 2nd annual tractor pull hosted by his brother this weekend.

3 pointsSo happy to be finished with the roof! Now, I’m cleaning my shop so I can get to much needed projects! Last night, this was merely a path through trash and clutter. It’s still not great, but I’m on a mission (again). I picked up this Kawasaki 550 (41 hp stock) yesterday for a friend who loves on a lake and already has another one that also needs to get running. This one has a 70 hp 750 engine in it but the bendix is frozen, not cranking it over. I’ve been longing for my own for quite some time, but the only thing better is having a buddy with two!

3 points@JoeM I think the transition area is supposed to be brown, but as I said earlier I learned this stuff in high school and that was over 35 years ago. I can guarantee that if I call my shop teacher who I’m still friends with, he will remember the exact process! It’s because of him that I know how to cut, braze, weld, work on small engines.I could go on and on about the things that man taught me, in and out of school. Like joining the volunteer fire department and giving back to our community is just one example. Sorry if I went off subject for a sec!

3 pointsThis is really sad news. I just found out through Facebook about @Stormin's passing. Like many others said before me I enjoyed his comments and the projects he shared with us. Rest in peace and condoleances to his loved ones. Greetings from the Netherlands, Mark

3 pointsI used stair step treads with really sticky glue already applied to the backside… bought at Lowes. Just peel and stick(after you cut to fit) I like the yellow stripe on them too…

3 pointsGood quality is the best BUT... Heat the ends up with a torch to cherry red and quench it. It'll harden them. I do this with damaged screwdrivers that are ground back to shape. Chisels and punches too because I'll grind them to the shape I need for a given task. Etc. It's the backyard hammer mechanic way! LoL

3 pointsRound fender, square hood. 1045, unless it was modified… My kids and I built a look alike during the big rona shutdown of 2020…

2 pointsAnyone watch this show? Tony Angelo is a hot rod genius! The unneeded flywheel and clutch in this episode is being sent to us for Rylee’s truck project!
-
2 pointsNo sir. This blower will eventually be for a friend of Trina's. I've been seriously considering getting a machine mounted snowblower.

2 pointsJumping the gun, I know… Leighty Bug cruising on the WHRatWHrecker! @davem1111 here’s the benefits of having a bus seat. For this quick bit, I hopped off, ran ahead and snapped the shot, then jumped back on. Generally, my left seat position allows me to clutch (which stops as well), shift, and steer when necessary. 2 pointsI have a 416-H that I don’t believe ever had rubber mats? I bought it with around 200 hours on it and it didn’t have any signs of them.

2 points@Pullstart So, that is what he's up to after leaving "Hot Rod Garage" - Lucky Costa and Alex Taylor do a fine job on the old show. Is it me, or do both you and Tony resemble a pair of bookends......!!

2 pointsAs long as the bearing journals are in good order, it’s run-able. On a side note, please consider the help and support and benefits you’ve gained from this site, with a small thanks of becoming a supporter. It sure would be nice to see the pictures here on the forum

2 pointsTalking to nORM on Skype was a blessing. We think of England as being almost like America but his perspective on things in his home country , Scotland next door and Europe in general really opened my eyes on life somewhere else in the world. When I would get frustrated with prices and availability on basic necessities around here nORM would put me at ease when he would describe what they are going thru over there. Then his humor, "English words" great photographs, driving on the "wrong side of the road and knowledge of things would enrichen my day.
