I noticed some one was nibbling on one of my pears. This morning I caught the thief and his partner.

I try and keep all the parts on hand that I will need for maintenance and rebuilds. This is a cabinet for small parts. Here are two drawers pulled out to show contents. All parts in this cabinet are new or rebuilt. Here are some parts in the storage building on shelves Most parts are rebuilt here as well. There are more up in the loft that are not rebuilt yet. This is the file for keeping track of what I have and where it is. Wheel Horse parts on hand.ods Makes is easier to locate the part you are looking for.

OK so theres no denying it, we like old machinery. We all have old Wheel Horses, some of us have old boats, old chainsaws, old motorcycles, old hit and miss engines, and old cars and trucks. So how many of you have an old car or truck with the headlight dimmer switch on the floor and a "Three on the Tree" shifter for your transmission ? For those who do, please post some pics of course. I would really like to see them. Here's the dimming and shifting setup on my 1965 Ford F100

Been considering trying dual 6x12’s on my mutt tractor. Kinda bored with the 23x10.5 Carlisle AG’s that have been on it awhile. I had a pair of tires and recently picked up a matching pair from @TonyToro & @TonyToro Jr.. Bought these rings from @Pullstart at the WHS and today was the day to get em installed. Wanted the space between rubber to be tight, Kevin cut them narrow, but I wanted tighter so off came almost another 3/8”. Hit em with sandpaper and a quick coat of flat red. Four 1/2”x8” pieces of all-thread per side and here’s the finished product. Might swap the fronts for something a bit wider.

More work on the Ber Vac. Got all the black parts painted. More prep work needed before painting the red. I trick I use to get the old carriage bolts out.

Good post! My C10 has a 3OTT and a floor dimmer. Good ole quality stuff there! I’ve never jammed the shifter/trans in 2 gears, but a buddy has.

    So like Sparky, this weekend I've gone through and inventoried and organized and packed away Wheel Horse parts (in one building ) because its July and hotter than Hades in North Carolina and I'm OCD, and all that put together made good sense for me to do this. The three black boxes all contain Wheel Horse parts. I am happy to say I have a much fresher idea of what I have and where its at. I had no idea I had so many Wheel Horse belts. The mower decks and my motley Crew of wheels and tires are in another building. Here goes;

About 4 years ago right before the show @Buzz put a wheel barrow trailer up for sale. I saw it posted just before I went to bed. I messaged Buzz and the next morning Buzz told me Phil had already bought it. I had been trying to find one for a while, I messaged Phil and gave him the business about buying it during the cover of darkness. He replied he really didn't need it and I could have it for what he paid. That's the type of guy Phil was. Friday morning of the show the cart was waiting at my spot. Phil dropped it off before I even got there.

Told Sparky that duals and a stack is like trying to look cool while drinking out of a straw and wearing a turtleneck shirt.

Just put fatter fronts on it, looks a bit more proportional now.

This tractor doesn’t do any work, just goes to shows and putts around.

Attention all you vultures: The big fat AG’s are not going anywhere ! But seriously, they’ll end up something around here eventually. Maybe even back on this machine? Who knows… I got bored and wanted a change, history shows I’ll get bored again

I could do that for you folks but all you need to do is imagine what about Wheel Horse parts would look like if it exploded......

Well I had 4 on the floor along with the dimmer switch. My high school truck, 1966 F250 with a Cleveland 351 I got from the scrap yard. I was working for a flooring company the summer the headline fell out so we put shag carpet on the ceiling, along with speakers for the 8 track. Hauled a lot of hay blaring tunes.

Ya know Ed. You don't get snow like you used to. I'll tell you what. Go ahead and bring that snowblower up here to me n BBT. I'll trade you a couple nights of free aggravation putting up with my generally poor demeanor along with some pretty fair to reasonable coffee. I might even be able to connive/convince my local food maker to throw some half decent grub together.

@Sparky @Pullstart Too late Kevin, and now it would cost way too much to ship them to Michigan. Since Mike is not too far from me and is bored of them I’d help get rid of them. I’ll gladly pay the shipping cost, you know, just trying to help out here 🤣🤣🤣

Short story... My 25 year old came home from college for Christmas couple years ago and we were having a happy hour with Mom and his sister... We're casual beer drinkers but have a bottle or two of spirits in the house... he goes down stairs, comes up with an apparent unopened bottle of vodka. proceeds to open it and chugs the whole thing... Then announces that he and his buddies drank it a few years ago and filled it with water. Steamed the seal off and glued it back on. Knew we'd probably never notice since we never drink it... he was right...!!!

hi all, we took our great grandson last fall to Battleship Cove in fall river mass. there they have the USS Massachusetts. actual WW2 battleship (BB-59). they also have a destroyer, sub and a pt boat you can tour. when i was a kid just the battleship. he loved it. as a side note i applaud you navy guys who served on a destroyer. my impression was that thing is soooo small. how far out are we going in that little thing! yesterday we went to the Bradley air museum in windsor locks connecticut. lots of military and civilian aircraft to tour. the tour guide took a liking to the great grandson and let him sit in a bunch of the cockpits. he loved that! i highly recommend both of these places if you and your families are in the area. GOD BLESS AMERICA! regards mike

One of the big themes I'm trying to stick to in the new shop/barn is portability. I love the idea of being able to move things around at a moments notice for convenience or space making. To that end I'm using building buying as much as possible with wheels. I've wanted a better welding surface for years. I now need a better welding storage unit. Here's what I'll try: The top is not as thick as I'd like but it's inexpensive and certainly can be modified/upgraded later.

I thought some of you guys might get a chuckle out of this… I have all of the original manuals for my tractor and implements, and even have the original bill of sale… parts lists, and the gentleman that owned it kept impeccable service records and all the receipts for gear oil etc. Kind of cool. Sadly, I was never able to get the rotor tiller for the tractor… Something tells me it’s on his property somewhere… but sadly no. Jason

All this organization!! I learned my parts organization from @WHX??. Open the door on the shed, toss it in there, & hope you can get the door closed. Won't matter anyway, I'll forget that I have the part when needed. Will find the needed part after I buy a different one.

I've always liked duals on round fender'd tractors. If I find a set for my 606 I might go this route too!!! With ag's tho

Geesh, if I’d have known you were tired of those ags, I’d have generously traded you straight up for the spacers!

I dunno 'Fish I'm afraid to crack them open. Figure in 60 years they be NOS! 'Course now that don't bother the Dino. Couple of these empties on shop display from him have colored water in them.

Substitute a White steering wheel and a walnut shifter knob and you'll have my Falcon set up. Car also had dual horns and coil over shocks all around! ..

We definitely got spoiled by an unusually mild May and June. Cool and low humidity compared to normal. I went outside twice today. Rolled right back ondoors after a few ugly words about how bleeping hot it was. It's normal for July, but after the cool streak it feels like someone just flipped a switch!

And glad to see 5 bolt hubs, not the winged flimsy 3 bolt 702 style (that would NOT hold up to the added side load) There is NO way to look cool chasing a runaway pair of tires and rims down a hill while attempting not to drop your straw...

I picked up one of these at an auction. Removed the bag and stuck my mig welder on the bottom. Top held tools welding spatter spray tips ect. Big wheels made it roll easy. My eyes got bad enough where I was difficult to see what I was doing no matter what shade mask I had. Sold it about 10 years ago.

Nastalgia at it's best?? I too drove several Column shift cars with the foot dimmer switch. The early 50's Dodge truck I mentioned recently had the other foot switch for the starter - or was it the 56 International half ton I learned to drive on?? Does'nt matter, they are long gone. Even my 1970 Jeep Wagoneer with the factory Dauntless 350 (Buick) was the same... Drove 2 different work vans, both 6 cylinder 3 speeds. The 1967 Ford was easy and comfortable to drive , but way underpowered. It had the larger 200 cu in 6 cylinder - the sister to the Falcon 170. The 1969 Chevy was another story. The last year of the flat faced, straight axle "Scooby-Doo" trucks. Hot in the summer, cold in the winter. It had the 230 inch engine between the seats. Worst part was the drivers seat was directly over the front wheel and both the clutch and brake pedals were not mounted to under the dash - they came up thru the floor in an arc. You had to lift your entire left leg up onto the pedal that had about 6 inches of travel - got really annoying when stuck in stop-and-go traffic.. No "heel and toe" fancy footwork there...

Thanks everyone! It's clear I'm passing this one up and being patient for the right machine/price. Yes, that was USD! Thanks again.
