11 pointsI’ve not had any time to visit lately due to work, various projects around the house, working on my Dad’s truck, getting my CDL, and bus driver training. I got a call from a friend who mentioned a member of our tractor club had passed. Turns out he had a 418-8 stored under a tarp. His widow wanted to know if he’d be interested in the WH. She gave it to Emory to work on. It has all of its parts, even though some aren’t on it now. The engine is free and Emory wants to get it running and restore it. I know I’m good condition these bring good money, so I’m very thankful for her giving it to Emory knowing he has plans to get it going and looking good again!

7 pointsThis is the Hunters Custom 12. He did not want me to make it Pretty. He wanted a worker painted his choice of color. He took it home a few weeks ago and has been working very hard to get it like he wants it. He is not finished with it yet but is bringing it as is. I will not post any current pictures because he going to post his progress later. He has not posted anything yet because he did not want me too see what he is up to. I seen it for the first time when I arrived last night.

6 pointsFor this crowd, not only would such a contraption be possible- you wouldn't know which one built it!

6 pointsHad a 1969 Firebird 400 w/hood tach back in high school. Now I have a 1969 GTO but the tach is in the dash. I also want to put a hood tach on my 1960 Suburban rat rod. I got the Predator 212 & performance upgrade kit ready to install. However, bout a week ago I totally messed up my sciatica nerve really, really bad & am finally just getting around to being able to walk again. Gonna b a while till I'm back to crawling around over, under tractor etc. Heading out to show early Friday & hoping I'm gonna be able to walk it some. 🤞

5 pointsPut a new brake band and shifter boot on the old 312-8. Also changed the water in the transmission😁
-
5 pointsAll I know is that it was a factory option for the 69 Firebird. My high school shop teacher had one and he was very proud of it. More than once I got to see the needle go over 6000 RPM’s (400cu.in. Muncie M-22 rockcrusher 4-speed )when he would drop me off at my house on his way home from school. No B.S. On one occasion we went over 100 mph! This guy was like Jekyll and Hide, when he left the school and got into that car! I can only imagine if a teacher did that today, they would loose their job. Of course I didn’t tell my parents about this stuff at the time. He and I are still friends to this day!

5 pointsI went last year for my first time and had a ball ! You will meet many people from Redsquare there. Make sure you meet Hooooowaaaard ! Make sure you meet Pullstart. Make sure you meet Wild Bill. There are plenty of people who will come up, maybe sit a spell and chew the fat with you. Quite a few recognized me from being on here, and some recognized me by my small collection (2) of Wheel Horses. I have acquired a C-160 since. They introduced themselves and a pleasant, fun time was stored in my memory bank. I was impressed to say the least, by the warm, welcoming reception I received from all. I only hope they got the same feeling from me. Libby and I can’t make it this year as she is having rotator cuff surgery tomorrow. I definitely will be back for another show, God willing…

4 pointsnot been on here much lately been too dam busy still mowing with my c145 it going on second season now mowed my grass and neighbors grass for him last 3 months of season last year with this total 3 acres this chugged right along no problems . also seen my membership here expired need to get that going again
-
4 pointsI miss you guys too! We would have loved to have came, but with everything we’ve had going on this year, it just didn’t work out. I hope that we will be able to make it next year! I’ve seen some Facebook posts that Lowell, DJ, and several others are coming that we haven’t had a chance to see in a while. I hate to miss all of the fun!!! Wmory does say that we will be there next year with his 418! We did add two new to us cousins to our stable in the last couple of weeks. Emory got a Farmall A and I just bought a C. Guess my sickness will never subside!

4 pointsThough it's only a 50 minute drive for me, in this rain it will seem like 5 hour. I do not envy anyone making a long trek. All loaded and ready to hit the road a 5:50 am tomorrow.

4 pointsSo far averaging 14.1 with the Big 5.3. Just pulled the big hill in Watkins Glen! Stopped so Randy can get his Doritos!
-
4 pointsComfort Inn has always been good. 15 minute drive Good food on site. Clean restrooms. Lots of nice helpful people. Gettysburg is close, can be a day trip. If you need parts, make a list, chances are there will be a deal there on what you need or want. Hearing protection is nice if you have issues with noise. At times there are some open exhaust guys.
-
4 pointsI still plan on having fun -- rain or shine. Rain will hamper it some as the trailer queen guys don't like morning dew on their expensive restorations let alone rain. They put a lot of time and effort to those tractors. It's an outdoor event so it's better attendance with nice weather but we can all get cozy under the roofs of the vendor barns during rain. Now, camping in a tent during rain, that's a different story. They might need 3 or 4 hampers for the wet clothes. But those are still the fun stories told years later.

3 points@stevebo @Chris T @squonk @rjg854 @Wheel-N-It @Jrblanke @Howard dellapuca @stevasaurus @buckrancher @elcamino/wheelhorse I’m sure y’all will get the message…. It looks like 997 is closed at 81 South and there is a detour. You’ll have to take 81S to exit 16 / Lincoln Way (30) in the morning
-
3 pointsLoading up the trailer in a few minutes. I'm so ready for the Big Show ! I know I'm not the only one 🙂

3 pointsSafe travels @JPWH......that's a long haul from GA! Wonder if they have an award for who travels the farthest to the show??
-
3 pointsIF original and in working condition, that may be worth more than a 420LSE !! I recall seeing similar back in the 80's - one of those "package options" I suppose...

3 pointsWe trucked it to Perrysburg, OH Walmart for the night. 10 minutes late for groceries, so we walked to Meijer for most of the list. On,y took an hour round trip! Only hit about 72 mph, and no road emergencies this time! We’ll be on the road all day tomorrow!
-
3 pointsYes sir. My boy Brennan who gets his license in a few weeks is getting this old girl!
-
3 pointsThe rain hampers it a little bit. Im planning on bringing a couple pairs of shoes. I hate wet socks. Im planning on having a blast rain or shine! I love seeing my buddies again! There are more tractors than people! It will be worth your drive. And look, lets just address the food situation there. If you do not bring any food, you will be fine. Those church ladies in the concession stand got you covered. I'm sure there will be plenty of pie to go around! Just bring a little extra cash. James

3 pointsKevin, what's in the cup? I know what it takes to make me want to do wheelies on a lawn and garden tractor
