A couple years ago Trina and I were given the opportunity to own a few hand made kit type black powder pieces. See this thread: One is the cannon in the following pics. It turned out that after we got ahold of it we couldn't figure out how to open the breach which was necessary for cleaning according to online instructions. It also was in need of one of two clips that hold the barrel down. One of my coworkers has a hobby forge and is familiar with black powder things so I'd asked him to have a look at it. He was able to get it back to a usable condition and even did a nice polish on the barrel. It was colored a brass ish tone but badly tarnished. Also while disassembling it the barrel was gouged a bit. (I'm perfectly fine with that). In process pic: Here's the after results...

I have bought a couple of the rebuild kits from them in the past. If I remember correctly, you can actually call them and talk to someone. Isn’t that crazy? 🤣

    Did a Predator Suburban myself.

One thing to keep in mind - In side the walls of your camper, every DC wire connection is made with the dreaded Scotchlok connectors. The throw together camper & enclosed trailer companies love them for their easy of assembly. Unfortunately they are also great source for electrical failure.

Proof of concept for the two new tub cars for the SL&WHN RR... Works pretty good. Seats and some paint, hitch pins etc. and good to go...

I'm 1 1/2 hours east of the show, and forecast is for sunny and 82 degrees. So who knows? Bob, if your forecast is correct, there is 70% chance of no rain.

Gotta side with Dan on this one. You do know ther are no bearings in the axles... just thin wall bushings. Which are already questionable which is why I let you have it. Sides my nieces are always cool on any ! I'm sure wheelies had nothing to do with that!

Careful wit dem dually's. My axles started sagging on my rat rod with just one set of 23x10.50x12's. Had to straiten them out & add gussets to keep them from sagging.

Another thing Kevin your camper has slide outs doesn't it ? They are a prime location for a short. I would hate for you to have a problem on the way to the show. Then your family would have to bunk with @elcamino/wheelhorse

So it has been one whole year since I got the Civil War era chest. Except for a few things restoration and retrofitting has been completed since about September. I have been working out of it since and continued to add compartments such as another till and small removable till with door. Key and strike for main lock were missing , so I fabricated them from a brass bar, lock now being complete and functional. It is pretty much full . I have grown very fond of it and really enjoy using it. It feels like it was always here. It was also typical for these chests to have some “artwork” or such on the inside of lid. I continue that tradition by adding hand photos of current and future owners. Fabricated missing key and strike lock is finally functioning Hidden pivoting compartment keeps keys with chest. new small removable compartment with door for small loose items Narrow center tills when removed allow wide tills to slide back and forth allowing access to bottom of chest. pretty much every tool is able to be removed without disturbing others. My favorite and prized extremely rare type 5 Stanley 45 also made it into chest. One year only production 1893 in 99% mint condition . Hands of current and future owners.

There is a reason that un-washed eggs will keep at room temp. Hens will not sit on their eggs until they feel that they have laid enough. This way their chicks will all hatch about the same time. Take a few days to collect the number of eggs that you want. When you have what you want then place them in the incubator. Your eggs should all hatch about the same time. Providing your rooster has done his job.

You don’t see many of these around these parts… thought about getting it and throwing a predator motor on it.

Easier to dodge and pass the slow pokes! Once you drive about 50-100ft you get used to it pretty quick. It's that 1st initial ride that catches ya by surprise! And there are actual world records for the same make tractor parades. Didn't see one for a single model tractor. Too bad I didn't look into that a bit earlier. It's like 12-16 weeks for an application approval. Maybe I'll talk to the WHCC guys this year about going for a WH world record next year. That would be something cool to be a part of.

To all, I ended up getting a new steering block, the old one was a little more opened up than it should be. Did not get a bushing for either hole on the steering block, but for the fan gear I added a few more washers and made it a lot tighter and it took most / if not all the play out of the steering. Fix wont last but so long, but it does work for now.
