11 pointsMy neighbor was cutting hay a few days ago, and was kind enough to cut my back pasture as well. He got more than 3 round bales from it, but of course couldn't fit in some of the corners with the bailer. Since I really hate to waste it, I decided to rake it up and give it to my critters. Needless to say, my ass is happy!

9 pointsA stressful last couple of days, yesterday being the funeral of a very close friend. On top of it my blood tests keeping coming back worse each time . Visiting hematologist and oncologist again tomorrow for the every three monthly visits. Beginning to wear me out a bit. So like every time I am stressed out the way I deal with things is basically to work until I drop. Last night at about 9 decided to make a key for my tool chest lock which was missing. Lots of hack sawing and filing. It was done by 3AM but kept my sanity and fell asleep quickly.

6 pointsWhile your working on the starter, remove the engine covers and clean the fins, and engine breather. Also the seat rear fender and lower hood stand covers. 520 attract a lot of dirt and grass in all those areas, I try to blow my 520 off and around those areas ever time I mow sometime I don't get it done. When I got my 520-H I removed half a bushel of dirt, oil and grass from it. When changing oil make sure no oil is left in that half circle under the oil filter, that oil will blow up in the rear fins and attract dust a dirt. i

5 pointsCheck the AC voltage coming from the white wires. Should be about 40 something at full throttle. My 416 didn't charge when I got it. I replaced the regulator with a Chinese one and everything works fine now. However, since I've also installed a Chinese carburetor, everytime time I'm plowing snow around Christmas, I keep having the urge to sing, Fa ra ra ra, ra ra ra ra ra...

4 pointsHad an appointment with the dermatologist today for a skin cancer scan. The doctor was soft spoken and she was wearing a mask, so I did mot understand a lot of what she was saying. A lot of 'repeat that please' on my part. Just to make sure, I repeated what I thought she said in plain English to confirm what I thought she said. Worked out in the end - all good and come back again next year. Point here being, keep up on your own maintenance checks, and if you don't understand the doc, keep asking questions until you do.

4 pointsCas, we are holding you up to Christ through prayer. Philippians 4:12-13 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound:every where and in all things am instructed both to be full and to be hungry , both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. 4 pointsCould you grab one from a local hardware store in steel or aluminum? Paint it red to get the tractor to the show, swap it out for a correct one later. Just a thought.
-
4 pointsIf nobody chimes in by tomorrow morning Bob, I’ll go pop one off a runner if I have to.

4 pointsI got everything back together and mowed on Saturday. Just in time because it finally rained yesterday! Thanks for all of your help
-
4 pointsThanks! I’ve had a couple 16’s and they ran good. An Onan 518 just passed thru here and it was a good running machine as well. This is my first Onan powered rig with an 8 speed… might just be a keeper once I’m done.

3 pointsThis is my latest project mounting this Sears sickle bar on a B100 . I had it mounted on a 854 a few years ago and it worked great. I bought a haban sickle bar and mounted it to a 312 for now I had to make some modifications but it's a much better set up than the Sears. Once I get this rig up and running it's going to get put up for sale. I still have to get a belt for it. I used a piece of string and looped it on all the pulleys and came up with a 102 in . Tomorrow I'm gonna try and get a belt.

3 pointsWe had the electrician here this past Saturday to connect the two circuits left in the shed and add several more to the barn. We now have a 20A 220V circuit over on the far outside of the building for where the air compressor is going to set. Another 20A 220 just inside the main small door. One more 220V for the stick welder. That's a 50 amp. There's a 20A 120V at the metal building table as well. The upstairs and downstairs light circuits are complete. We have switches by the forward small door. One plug in the middle of the ceiling upstairs. Two plugs downstairs. About 3 ft in from each side. The plan is to run strings of LED lights off of those plugs. We also added an outdoor 120V circuit to the near side of the building under the shed roof for where the chop saw lives. Also a set of 20A 120V just inside the main door with a couple extra feeds off that so there's 6 plugs within a few feet inside the barn between the two small doors. All those are for things like my and saw, table saw, drill press, etc.... That'll be it til we make a decision on climate control for both floors.

3 pointsI suspect a lot of us turn to working with our hands to relax our mind. Excellent work and glad you got some sleep afterwards. Prayers send for your health concerns to improve.

3 pointsI love that last photo. Can I borrow that for my profile picture and possibly an Avatar photo when I text people.

3 pointsMost use silicone to seal the hole up. When I rebuild a transmission, I run a 5/16-18 tap in about half the depth of the hole. Then I install a 5/16 set screw to seal the hole up.

3 pointsAre you quite certain that you used a coil with an internal resistor? Wrong coil will cause these symptoms.

3 pointsThere's a key..... Doesn't matter how old any of the ignition stuff is. That carb needs to be cleaned out. How old is the fuel line in ALL locations and ... Has the fuel pump been cleaned out and... Do you run non-ethanol fuel?

3 pointsI stopped by the local TSC store and picked up a IH Cub muffler today. It turns out to be much longer than the muffler on my C-195. Following pictures are of my C-195 with the original muffler removed and the Cub muffler 'mocked up'. If I squint just right, I think I can make it fit. Major surgery will be required. From left side: From right side: No, the surgery will NOT be performed on the hood. It appears that the Cub muffler is built like a Thrush muffler of old. It has a perforated pipe welded inside a can. There is no fiberglass in the can and there does not seem to be a baffle in the can, either. I'm thinking of sectioning the muffler, maybe 3" shorter. Called my neighbor over for a consultation. He came up with the same solution. I've got a welder, he has a band saw. I'll probably start a thread on this when I get into it. I know, the easiest way to use this muffler would be to make it as a stack. I don't really want a stack on this tractor, though.

2 pointsThe mechanical pump is working fine and I have a rebuild kit on the shelf for it if I ever need one so it's staying for now. I had this beat up Nelson stuck in a corner and I think it's going to work. It needs a bit of work but the hood goes on and I think I can get the cancer sealed up well enough to suit my ears.

2 pointsCas, my friend, we are coming to the show. I am looking to spend another afternoon at Adam's County Winery with Chris and you. Last time we did that was one of the most relaxing days I have ever spent. Hang in the Cas.

2 pointsThis is on my RJ and the pipe hits the outside of the hood stand perfectly for the u-bolt to clamp it to it . Also as much gas pipe I installed as a hvac/plumber I avoid using street fittings if I had the choice . Street fittings had the tendency to fit really tight and was either to lose where it needed to be then you really had to reef on the fitting to get it 360° back to where it was needed . A street 90°.is also restricting on the male end when you look at the inside diameter . Also a the street is not much shorter than a close nipple with an 90° elbow and wouldn’t get you to the inside of the hood stand .

2 pointsMy uncle as a kid ate coons and groundhogs(whistle pigs) prairie dogs uh.. Menace, whatever else they are called. He trapped, fed berries a week, ate. Uh iffin you had to but No sir I do not like it! My father always told me the captured critters were "relocated" as a kid. I didn't understand that one for a minute Likely the same location you utilize

2 pointsThe IPL item 28 (kohler) is a # 3/4" close nipple coming out of the block. Now hopefully the RJ experts will chime in as to what really fits.

2 pointsThat is the reality my bride is not interested in.. I remember as a kid spending the night on the garage with a 22 caliber waiting to engage the murdering raccoon. The Fox bothered us as well but they took a bird and left. Darn raccoon would just maim or kill and leave the suffering/deceased bird there. Pretty frustrating. It was my job as far back as I can remember to care for and then dispatch/process the chickens. Grateful now pretending to be an adult. As I kid I didn't fully appreciate. I think in the future they would be for eggs and would be dog/foster dog food thereafter. I certainly have zero amnesia about farm work. Thanks @ebinmaine and @Pullstart for pointing me to the chx threads.

2 pointsCamping is first come, first served, $20.00 per night. There are a limited number of sites with electric. As far as your tractors, they must all be Wheel Horse only. Other brands will not be allowed on the show grounds. You can join the club in advance by going to their website wheelhorseclub.com and join online via PayPal. The official dates of the show are Friday 6/23 and Saturday 6/24. Many come on Thursday (set-up day). Saturday, many are packed up to leave as soon as the raffle is held (around 2:00 pm).
-
2 pointsIf you're in PA you're not that far away compared to some. Don't over think it. Show up with your tractors and there's plenty of people to help guide you. There's no registration or entering the tractors. Simply find a spot and park them or ride around on them. When you enter through the parking lot there will be a tent with people asking if you're camping and you can pay them if you are. They don't need to be trailer queen show tractors to bring a tractor(s). About 1/2 or more are regular workers
-
2 pointsMike, good luck with the Onan. Of all the Wheel Horse's I've bought and sold and gave away over the years, I've never had one with an Onan. You are inspiring (with this 416) me to try one (when the right one comes along)

2 pointsDepending on how many V’s and idlers (and their spring ranges), and the angles, in the circuit, that could be off by as much as 3, 4 or even 5 inches. I’d get a 100, 104 and a 106 in addition to the 102. Then, of course, it’ll turn out to one of the sizes between! Return what isn’t “the one”. Good luck!
-
2 pointsMost likely not but i would buy a member ship just to keep it going! But i might camp there
-
2 pointsIf you’re 12 years old and show up with tractors to show I’ll pay for your membership to the Wheel Horse Collectors Club!

2 pointsIf you have a sticker on the fender near the left front of the seat we can tell you the year. Only 42, 48 & 60 inch decks fit. Cheap aftermarket starters may be a poor choice, since it sat so long try taking it apart to clean and oil. If that doesn’t work maybe you can find a used original.
-
2 pointsI have hats, signs from a old dealer and my 416-h was bought a one and still has the sticker. Also saw wheel horse snow mobile that was in dealer at one point and it was in a barn!

2 pointsHauled home a non-running 1992 416-8 (Onan) this weekend. Started messing with it today, pretty sure the tank was mostly water. Drained the tank, removed it, cleaned it and everything around it. Yanked the original grommet and fuel valve, if I find fuel line tomorrow it’ll all get replaced and hopefully I’ll finally hear it run.
-
2 pointsSounds like what I will be doing. All my tractors are workers. Fix whats needed, maintain and USE 'EM! I am just going to keep this one as is.....cracked dash and all. It is a pretty good survivor.

2 pointsBeen a busy weekend as usual 'round these parts. Yesterday in between the electrician being here we started moving some rocks out of the space that need fixing and filling. All hand work so we could burn a calorie or 2. Today the Trina person and her Momma worked hard at cutting and splitting some firewood. I ran the chainsaw for a bit as well then switched over to hauling the wood out from by the garden up to the edge of the driveway where the woodshed is. Pulled 2 loads with the C160 Cinnamon Horse and Agri fab 17 cube trailer. Trina found some friends while out clearing the tall grass so we could work by the garden.
