19 pointsRemoved the near mint original high back seat from my new to me 520 loader tractor and replaced it with a new one ( this ones gonna get used ) . Also added fluid filled ags and a set of new old stock era correct wheel weights to help with the terrible traction and weight distribution issues. Original low hour Dico tires and wheels will go in storage. Added roughly 250 lbs to the rear axle. Also added wheel studs and replaced / torqued the set screws on the hubs since I was there. Front tires are next.

17 pointsHi all, thought I would share a few photos of what I think is one of the finest 418-8 examples. I bought this from the original owner 2 years ago, have all documentation and literature. He did a great job of keeping this machine clean. I’ve never cut a blade of grass with it. When that twin 18 fires up, it’s music! He even had the auxiliary fuel tank, wheel weights, and Wheel Horse cover. It’s really something to go to a box store and imagine how things have changed over the years. Just wanted to share some pictures, Dominator

11 pointsGreased and installed my recently purchased rear discharge mower to my 310-8. Wow, what an easy to install deck. Mowed a small patch of lawn that was two weeks tall. Even with old rusty blades it did a great job. Now to replace the double pulley, wheels and front roller. Sharpen the blades and weld the one crack in the deck. Best $75 I've spent in a very long time. Removed the deck to install the rear tiller. Tilled my 50' x 50' garden. Very impressed with how well the tiller did...and the ol' girl never missed a beat. Normally I use my Troybilt Horse tiller and my shoulders and back are killing me. Using the WH was almost luxurious. Overall it was a good day

10 pointsAfter several Weeks of Rain with just a Sunny day between, we have here the first 3 sunny Day‘s following. Nature grows like an explosion. Yesterday’s Mowing was a Challenge for my Horse, not because of it‘s Engine Power, more because of the Beltwear. It chews 3 Belts at a grassheight of 35cm even with opened Sideexits. So i decided to Rework me a own Highgrass Mower for my 656. Here is the first Testdrive. (Actually with only one Bearing in the jackshaft, the second is on the Way...)

9 pointsFor several years now Trina and I along with her mom and our best friend have gone to a southern NH State Park that has a beautiful remote camping site. The site is about 6/10 of a mile from the parking area. We intend to keep going there as an annual event and we're looking for a way to make the transition from car full to site full a little easier. We've used a pull cart. We've created a pull cart from a canoe and a two wheeled hauler given to us by @JCM Both worked pretty well. This year we used the @JCM wheelset cart and combined it with a rooftop/trailer hitch we had on hand. Trina bought the front hitch part of a bike trailer and off we went with nuts bolts and screws in hand..... I towed several hundred pounds of camping gear over roots rocks etc for a total of 6+ miles. Overall. Excellent. We discovered after all the work was done that the forward hitch pull bar needs to be substantially stronger.

9 pointsHere ya go!!! Great time!!! More pics to come... most of the family was in the parade so waiting on pics from others... My daughter got the inaugural parade ride on the A-60...!!! While the parade was slow, the ride home wasn't. She said after: "that thing boogies!!!!" Even the yard art wanted in on the parade action!!! 9 pointsI think the bearing failure was due to all the crazy turns he makes in his yard to avoid hitting a metal chicken.
-
9 pointsAdded a few more pieces over the last couple of days. Yesterday I installed the hydraulics and got them plumbed. Hitches installed on the rear end. Today I was able to show more progress. Front end completed, engine bolted down, clutch & brake system installed. I also cut the pads out for the foot boards.

6 pointsI found that thing at a search in Webshop, they dealing with 2 wheelers. I dunno where it comes from, but it looked nice but not too weak. maybe Polish or maybe chinese who knows, but it seems to fit for my needs. When i see it, exactly this idea was immediately born in my Mind. So i used the last 2Day‘s to make it Work. I use my Homemade Snowplow Rail as Mounting Platform because I love multifunctional Machines, that was my reason to buy me a Wheelhorse.

6 pointsBought a box of 10 couple years back. I change the front tires when the snowblower goes on. No mess. And for about $6.00 a bearing I'll keep on keepin on. Chickens are in the coop area and little Waldo is inside the hen house!

6 pointsAnd all that are giving, even today, all over the world! And especially those that gave their all, or are forever changed because of their service. THANK YOU!

5 pointsI know it’s Monday not Sunday but it’s a holiday so I get a pass? Took the C-161 8- Speed out for a spin today in this beautiful weather!
-
5 pointsServiced the C160. Replace a failed wheel bearing. Changed the oil with Rotella 30W and the Hydro with Mobil 1 10W40 and a Napa 1410 filter 1106 hrs.
-
5 pointsDid you give it the greasy @peter lena treatment two years ago?
-
5 pointsGot the pulleys all worked out and a belt for it. Used some paint I had for a while too. No one else will like it, but it's not a Wheel Horse implement, and it's mine. At least it isn't green...

5 pointsClyde got tapped today for boat moving detail. Moved it into the wash bay for a quick cleanup, then after the boat not starting at the boat ramp, into the service bay so I could figure it out. At least I was bright enough to try starting the motor before I pushed the boat off of the trailer. Just tinkered with the Honda 20 horse on the boat. Changed plugs around, fed it some carb cleaner, and it finally started running. First on one cylinder, then finally on both. Took it on a couple laps around the lake without any issues, so maybe it will be OK. I'll put a new set of plugs in it if it misbehaves again. Yes, I am using alcohol free gas treated with Sea Foam 8oz per 5 gallons. Probably does not help that the engine is operated just off idle most of the time. Guess I'll just have to make more frequent full throttle blasts across the lake - oh darn! It is amazing how the extra couple hundred pounds a Super C carries over a 14-8 makes in the tractor's authority over a trailer. Not sure I'll be using Morgan the 14-8 for trailer duty anymore.

5 pointsWhat kind of nieces have I raised 🤔 Well OK I guess they are all in theirs teens now... just to keep fast88s thread in pics ....one that won't be going to the show... comon guys ... let's see them RJs that are! Technically a 59 but close enough for the women we go out with...

4 pointsFor sale is a 1997 314-h. Have all documentation. 48 inch deck. Everything is in immaculate condition as pictures show. 337 hours on working meter. The only thing this tractor needs is gas, grass, and your…seat, lol. A brand new snowblower is also available as well as a blade. Blade is used. Thanks for looking

4 pointsI still have to mow twice a week. Couple of weeks ago, I noticed that I was missing one of the front wheel caps on my C 160. That should have been a clue. Last week I started hearing a clicking sound but couldn't figure out what it was. This week it got louder. I was fearing that one of the differential bolts fell out or one of the 1533 axle bearings failed. Jacked up the rear and released the hydro and spun everything. Sounded fine. So I moved to the front and as I was jacking it up I thought or that cap that had come off. Went right to that wheel and sure enough. Click clack crunch. Much easier job than tearing a rear axle apart! Other bearing and other wheel seem fine. About 2 years old and about 125 hours on it.

4 pointsMoving right along today. Started out by applying 3M spray adhesive to the running boards and the rubber pads for them. Ran the plumbing for for the fuel system, made new throttle cables and continued to bolt pieces on. I had trouble remembering how the piece of angle iron was mounted below the drive belt. A big thanks to Jim for some picture assists. Turned out that I had the drive pulley pushed too far on to the crank shaft. In this next picture everything looked so purty that I had to take a picture before I covered it up. A few picture of how I ended the day. Down to wiring and bolt on the last few pieces.

4 pointsHave a few minor changes to make Jim, than i will make a Vid of the Mowing. promised. I used what i have, the Belt was Ordered for my Transit Project but i lent it for a Testdrive.. so i will change the 10mm Belt to a 13mm and install the second bearing on the Jackshaft. in the Vid. You can see the screw opens while running... 😎🤫 btw. I must Picts added later, because i was not able to select them in first Post, my Media folder appears to be empty. dunno why.
-
4 pointsNot really necessary. A starter generator is polarized when you try to start it...as you are applying batter voltage directly to the Armature terminal...same as jumping bat to Gen on the regulator itself as described in the manual .
-
4 pointsAh man. Do you know the RJ-58 is the featured tractor this year? It's going to be an epic pic of all these supposedly "rare" tractors in one place. The more the merrier in this case. And maybe a 100 RJs in cruise night. Wonder if there's some type of world record for a huge massing of of old tractors of the same year and type????? I'll have 2 and will get them out, get'm started and get some pics. One will be for sale.
-
4 pointsChanged the oil and greased the chassis with my new cordless grease gun. I know a little overkill for 6 grease points, but $30 off, and I don't think I'll ever go back to hand pumping grease. Also took the 42" SD deck off and installed the 42" RD after adding a rear grass deflector. It's been so dry here that the only grass that needs cutting is around the garden where I've been running the sprinkler, and the 42" RD is perfect for that.

3 pointsHad every intention of submitting a new 2023 picture for Memorial day but the black flies and mosquitos had other ideas this year, they were relentless today. Thank you to all Veterans for your dedicated service This is last years picture more or less from a different angle.

3 pointsNext year we can have @Pullstart pick you and Poo Poos up, with a tractor or 5, and you can join in our little parade... Poops has its shots I assume? You?
-
3 pointsEasier to dodge and pass the slow pokes! Once you drive about 50-100ft you get used to it pretty quick. It's that 1st initial ride that catches ya by surprise! And there are actual world records for the same make tractor parades. Didn't see one for a single model tractor. Too bad I didn't look into that a bit earlier. It's like 12-16 weeks for an application approval. Maybe I'll talk to the WHCC guys this year about going for a WH world record next year. That would be something cool to be a part of.

3 pointsAn engineering masterpiece ! The design team at AMC Wheel Horse pitched the flat area of the hood just enough to allow grease to drain out of a smoker grill, through an air gap, and into a grease collection device. The Blackhoods were way ahead of their time. Forty years later, we are now beginning to discover this about the Blackhood.

3 pointsGet a bigger trailer... Or, go higher... triple deck on Norman? Problem solved... And you are doing right by them kids...
-
3 pointsFirst time I've been able to move the boat out to the drive solo for annual maintenance. The slight incline always needed a couple people to chock the wheels. This worked great!
