I would screw them on the side of a shed or tree. Birds will immediately build a nest in them. It will put a smile on everyone’s face that sees it.

Same model, same size, for the last 12 or so years. My favorite! Now, the agonizing task of breaking the new ones in!

I came across this tractor on the 2hands website. Looks a a bit like a wheel horse with the hood and badging. I have never seen this model. Probably homemade but nevertheless pretty cool.

Kind of a flop day today. I was contacted by the blood center I donate at, there is a local blood emergency. They are about 1/2 day ahead of demands as of this morning. They asked if I would go to another location ahead of my scheduled drive location. Sign me up! I am A+ and have a certain RO characteristic that makes me pretty special in their eyes. I got there at 12:00 and was the first person in a seat. I generally do double red donations, where they take extra blood cells out and replenish me with saline at the same time, but lately, they have needed my plasma more than my blood. Same machine, different process. Today, being in a different location with different nurses, I found it funny that it drew three times from me, with no returns. I pointed out that something was wrong, but was quickly assured that it was just taking longer than usual. The boss man walked by and pointed out the machine is not separating the plasma as intended and all my blood needs to be returned to me, and I am an abort mission on a 24 hour hood to be able to donate again. Liability, processes, lawyers, etc… I’m already here with a needle and no blood is drawn. Take it again, there are people who need my fluids more than I do! I ended up finding another location tomorrow at 12:05, and will start all over. Today was supposed to be my 3 gallon day. I got the pin, but no sense of the accomplishment. Fingers crossed, I can help someone tomorrow.

I watched “Taryl Fixes All” on YouTube tonight . I seen @Pullstart ‘s “Snowmotractor” on the cover of Lawn and Garden Tractor magazine that Taryl was reading, and I believe Taryl was reading the article on it because I seen it in the centerfold I think. That’s a trip !

If you appreciate guitar playing you have to know Jeff Beck. Unique, inimitable, innovative, and an outright class act. Never a “rock start pose “ never showing off , always deferred to other greats when playing with them, even though they were always clearly eager to hear what other out of this world sound he would come up with. Humble and a total gentleman when interviewed. Perhaps signaling the end of an era in guitar players .

This trans was full of water and the brake gear was rusted to the diff gear. I saved this horse from a scrapper about to turn it in for beer money.

Sounds great!! I see you used seasoning instead of hot peppers in the mix. If you decide to try hot peppers on your next batch here's a trick I learned. If you put the peppers in with the meat when you're browning it, the heat from the peppers will show up on the back side. If you throw raw peppers in to cook with the complete mix the heat from the peppers will be on the front.

@Ed Kennell Hey Ed, this is parked outside the Keystone Truck and Tractor Museum in Colonial Heights, Virginia. It’s right off I-95, if you have not been I would encourage anyone to stop by and check it out. Be prepared to spend time there, this is no half hour stop. Perhaps this is why they have a fifties style diner inside! I have more pictures but they do not do this incredible place justice.

I searched for “venison chili” and didn’t find anything. So, here we are today. Last night, I soaked a 1lb bag of dry light red kidney beans. This morning, I drained, rinsed them and returned them to the slow cooker. Today, I took a package of Missouri doe (mixed with some ground pork butt) and browned it with my choice of wild game seasoning, coriander and black pepper, and added it on the beans. My guess is that it’s 2-3 lbs. I browned it in olive oil and there wasn’t but 1/4 cup or less, so I did not drain it. With the skillet hot, I added more olive oil and a thick diced onion to the pan and sautéed the onion with some sea salt, black pepper and www.gun powder.net .50Cal Hot! Seasoning, then added the onion to the cooker. Next came two cans of diced chili style tomatoes. I don’t like chunky maters. I chose to use a little hand held do-hickey to purée them a bit. Dumped ‘em in and added a little fund raiser bag of taco seasoning. Ingredients on the bag Hopefully it thickens up some, but last I dumped a 32oz container of chicken broth and put the cooker on high. A little mix with the stirrin’ stick and it’ll simmer all day.

If you have a new brass bushing in the axle tube you may need a little more honing on it to get the side blade to mesh correctly. Also shouldn’t hurt to use a little Emory cloth on the brake shaft to clear any burrs etc. I used some of the older style bearings (not as precise ) that Buckranger uses to give more flexibility in the transmission. They are bearings similar to original ones that were not as precise as most manufacturered today.

It used to drive my ex nuts but I haven’t parked a vehicle in my 2 car garage since I moved in. My grandfather used to shoe horn a full size sedan and his small 2 wheel drive pick up in it plus his wheel horse. Me on the other hand use it all for wheel horses.

That's not Lucas Green... @peter lena are you changing things up?!?!?
  38. 2 points
Looks like the issues have been stated. File burrs, and make sure all bearings are square in their places. You also might turn the input shaft a little...sometimes helps. Nice job saving that transmission !!

This is what I believe was one of his last performances if not the very last. As always his trademark, sleeveless shirt and the one of a kind Strat with the upside down head stock made for him. Surrounded as always by excellent musicians unknown to most such as Rhonda. Besides his gifted hands he had the gift of recognizing and bringing to the forefront musicians others would not contemplate specially women. A real example of how to manage your unique endless talent in a humble manner using it to give others opportunities which otherwise they may never have. Sadly one can also see the noticeable decline in his body by now even though he might of not been sick then. A true classy human being.

Ed, at our age, can we afford to waste ten minutes? All kidding aside, I understand why Eaton states that. But in the real world we generally do what works for us. Since my hydro has close to 900 hours on it, (150 of which I put on), I can only attest to my own experience.
  48. 2 points
Per Eaton, all 1100s should be warmed up for 10 minutes to prevent damage. Some must be warmed up before the lifts will work.

That looks OK Metal... but... if you don't know when everything was changed last just drop the oil and filter and change it out. Run it for abit if you can to get the oil warm before dropping ...usually doesn't take long. NAPA 1410 on the filter. I use any quality Syn 10w-30. Reports are syn does better in cold ... I can neither confirm or deny that tho.
