12 pointsWhat have I done or what will I do for a Wheel horse today? Nuthin'! At least that's an answer. My days of installing a Muncie under the Chevelle in 0° windchill with my hands sticking to it are long gone. 10° and dropping with 15 MPH winds and 40 MPH gusts. Tossing a log on the fire and sipping coffee - yeah, that's the ticket. The 520H will just have to wait until next week.

10 pointsMerry Christmas Everyone I have been following Redsquare for a few months and really like the range of topics and see alot of good people My "herd" right now only consists of a 1989 416-8 I bought new with a plow and 37" mower with grass catcher. I stumbled upon an older single stage snowblower that isnt attachamatic but bolts on easily. He threw in another snowplow that looks to be identical to mine, all for $150.00 Last summer I bought a 1989 520h which I really like. It uses no oil the hydro trans seems ok except I need to do a common adjustment on. The only thing that doesnt work is the vacuum guage and I will see about replacing it after i give it a good going over this winter. After taking somewhat of a good look at it it looks like it has been serviced at a dealer all its 650 hours ,about the same amount on my 416. I am looking forward to the wealth of knowledge I will gain here!

9 pointsWelcome to the 2022 Red Square Christmas tractor parade, AKA Wheel Horse Collector Club parade six months late. The past few years I have taken pictures of as many Wheel Horses as I could on Friday of the Big Show and posted them that evening. Well this year life got in the way and here we are six months later and I’m finally getting around to posting them as a slideshow. Please sit back and enjoy the parade.

8 pointsGot these last year... boy are they nice in weather like this... pricey, but no salt / sand needed or tracked into house... and with a hundred in / outs with the mutt each day it's very convenient... currently 7 degrees...
-

6 pointsWell, if we got more then 1" of snow, it is in Buffalo, NY by now. We did and still have the cold and the wind. Temperature this morning was -8 F with 40 to 50 MPH winds so a wind chill of around -50 F. Dangerous cold. I did not even have to blade the driveway, the wind cleaned it. I am so glad I did not have to get the horses out in this stuff. pictures of after the "big snow".

5 pointsAny Wheel Horse is good to have. Having the Peerless transmission, the B-82 is limited to lawn mowing. Most wheel Horse owners opt for a horizontal engine with the stronger Wheel Horse gear drive or Sundstrand, or Eaton Hydro transmissions. Many tractors, parts and implements should be available in your area. Good Luck.

5 pointsPouring with rain here, so sitting in front of the fire, and keeping the new “pup” company.
-
5 pointsSeems it was only -4 when I got home from work yesterday, I cleaned up the snow that we got. No heated gloves yet though. Hopefully they will show up today. Woke up this morning to -12 with a wind chill of -40 with winds at 25+mph and a few drifts in the drive way. They can wait till tomorrow when the wind dies down. A picture of my winter wonder land. Stay safe & warm every one!!

4 pointspicked up this rear crushed , calf hutch for cheap, years ago , cut off back end , added vinyl fencing , for air intake side . 171 pic, front entry pic 122 is now generator exhaust spot . bottom 2" pvc piping screwed on for easy sliding/ movement . basically roll up generator to pic 154 , and lower it down to ground , image 63 big box plug in point ,with cable to basement gen tran switch . heavy weather just drape a heavy chain over it , goes no where , stays absolutely dry and happy . runs under that as long as I need it , no problems at all . unused it just sits next to my shed. like this type / style / size , just another opportunity for a weather issue under power . you might ask a local farmer , thats what I did , he even delivered it , pete

4 pointsI was in need of two items. Exhaust valve for my C125's Kohler engine and a drive belt for my recently acquired B80. Tried various place over here in the UK. No valve anywhere at a reasonable cost. Like wise a drive belt. Local Toro main stealer wanted £70 for one. So had a word or two with Stevasurus and Squonk to see if they could help. That resulted today on a package containing the required valve and belt. Mike posted the package on the 16th of this month and it arrived at my abode today the 22nd. Six days from the US to the UK. Bet that cost me you say? Not at all. Just under £70 for valve, belt AND postage. Best Christmas presents I could receive, even if I have paid for them myself. Big THANKYOU Lads.

About 3" total snow on frozen slop with hard pack drifts 12-24". 5 degrees with -17 degree windchill. No chains no added weight. 69% remaining on batteries after 45 minutes plowing. Two driveways... flat concrete.

-
4 points@953 nut Richard, of course I wish all of you a Very Merry Christmas. It was Mike's thread to start with, and I had a feeling that Mike would give me a call after I posted. He did and we talked for about 4 hours. Absolutely no slight intended... MERRY CHRITMAS TO ALL AND HAPPY NEW YEAR ALSO !!!

4 pointsI think my mechanical ability is ok.never had this tractor leave my property in 28 years until now. I’m very challenged with electrical issues though.have a meter but not much knowledge on how to use it.hopefully this is an isolated issue and I can keep this around for another 20 years.

4 pointsThe snowstorm really wimped out for us but I'm not complaining. We had nothing on the ground yesterday and this today. It was -10° when I got up and -5° now. 30-40° below windchills. It's supposed to be near 50° late next week so that's how this snow is going to disappear. There's still a blizzard warning in effect on the east side of the lake. With the winds this strong it extends inwards quite a ways. Be safe folks!
-
4 pointsNow have I got this right, Doug? For the first week vehicles under 3.5T would be drive on the right? Over 3.5T would be driving on the left? After that all those that survived would drive on the right? Who where the bright sparks who thought that one up? As for cyclists. I went into Cambridge once and once was enough. The supposedly educated university types were positively lethal.

4 points24 hours in. Wind gust 42 mph last night running about 20 constant. Have had about .9" of liquid. Still raining but temp is starting to fall. Snow has shrunk

4 pointsTo all my unmet friends hear on the form, I wish Health, Happiness and Love on this birthday of our greatest gift, Jesus. Bob

4 pointsMerry Christmas to all, and the best for the new year. I can't think of anything to add to a list. May all or your tractors start quick, and run without a miss or sputter. Our long distance family is all out of town, so it will be just Grandma and I this year. Quiet warm house sounds pretty good. Likely Skype or a zoom call will bring us together. Do not forget the reason for the season. God's greatest gift to man!

4 pointsA cure for all cancer would be great....we have made some strides in treating it, but still not enough. It's good to have places like St. Jude, Shriner's Hospital and others. They have been helping, not only treating children with cancer and other ailments, but have house families of these sick children for free. It's also good to have people donating to those places as well.
-
3 points@Evguy That is exactly what I thought I would be getting last night. We had one of those snows some years ago. I was hoping we would not see one of those again. 2011 BTW, I did move this with the Horses.
-
3 pointsIt was my pleasure nORM. Do postal vehicles over there have the steering wheel on the wrong side like over here?
