6 pointsHey folks. Just received my 3rd message about a RS member going by Fordeen that is using the wanted section to scam us. Here’s what was happening: I post in the wanted section that I need a mcgluger pin…Fordeen messages me that he knows someone with a mcluger pin for sale and provides an email address. I email the address given, strike up a deal and make some sort of electronic payment. After payment all communication stops, and the scam is complete. Karl has banned Fordeen BUT…if you are currently in negotiations/communications with Fordeen or with the email address he provided STOP IMMEDIATELY!

6 pointsToday the fellas finished up the framing on the back wall then moved to working on the metal roofing. All the panels are on. The ridge cap and trim needs to be installed. These pics weren't taken til after dark so excuse the odd lighting.

5 pointsWe're getting the pine siding put on the back of the barn today. Already been painted green so the real scheme of color is there. Looks absolutely fantastic!!
-
5 points@ebinmaine @OldWorkHorse. I used a piece of thin aluminum to draw a straight line. A couple Jack stands laid down make a decent turn drum for cutting!
-
5 pointsI didn’t do anything but have lots to do.And I still have room for another

4 pointsJust had to stop in and say hi and post a pic of my 'daily driver' horse putting in some work on my latest acquisition, Sure Trac 18ft 10k car hauler. The 525exi (522xi) moved it up my driveway hill without too much issue to park it along side the house. It may get to haul a horse from time to time, but i am pretty happy with my 3 horses. The XI needs some bushings and a light overhaul this fall along with some serious snow plow reinforcement. The trailer was actually bought to haul the fixer upper econo daily driver (2011 Subaru outback) to the various repair shops so i can stop driving my fun vehicle.

4 pointsNo, you must remove the hub and then you can pull the old seal out with a seal removal pick or a small screwdriver. But first you should check the bearing for wear by pushing on the axle. There should be no up/down or front/back movement. In/out is OK If the bearing is bad, you must split the case and replace the bearing or the new seal will also leak.

4 pointsWhen transacting here or anywhere for that matter, check how long the member had been a member. In this case they were members for less than 1 day, which should be suspect.

3 points1054-A was sold in 1965 and 1966. It might have had some white knobs on throttle and choke cables but I know 953 had them and 1054 were black. As someone I knew said , “ who knew what Doris did on Friday when she was wanting to get out early”! Wheel Horse did not waste parts. John Deere by the way still sells the black ones as they were used on some of their tractors too! Our 1966. 1054-A also has white knobs as seen in this photo!

3 pointsI'm not gonna ask what I look like. I can't see myself and what others think is THEIR concern, not mine!
-
3 pointsI sat on a roundhood and I felt like I was on a tricycle as a kid. They are neat machines but I need leg room 😁. I like the big wheel bunch.
-
3 pointsI’m hiding these out of sight until I can get them painted. These are yellow obviously someone had issues
-
3 pointsGeez they call themselves carpenters... look at that roof gap....

3 pointsA little $ can get you any rating that you want at a store. This is my thought's. The only urethane's that I believe in are the ones that are manually mixed together (usually at a rate of 4 to 1 and they only have a pot life of 4hrs) and then sprayed through a gun. Don't clean the gun & you will have a solid mass/mess by the next morning. Before clearing over a cured paint you should first wet sand the cured paint with 1000 to 1500 grit sand paper. This gives a good mechanical scratch for the clear to stick to.
-
3 pointsNo you do not. This is assuming you don’t need bearings too. Generally when they wear excessive, they take out the seals.
-
3 pointsWell the rain never did completely cease so the fellas spent today finishing up the siding on the right side. They also got a great amount done towards the framework of the back wall. There will be 3 windows here going pretty much from one side to the other.
-
3 pointsYesterday we came home to find that the left side shed roof and left side vertical roof were both completely covered with sheet metal roofing. The right side vertical roof is around half done. It's raining this morning so I imagine they will be working undercover finishing up the back sliding door by adding the pine boards to the frame that they built last week. Maybe if the rain lets off they'll finish the roof up.

2 pointsMe, Trina, and our friend had us a long drivin' load em up n run whirlwind of a weekend. Thanks to @Herder @Handy Don and @ri702bill for supplying tractors, parts, food, drinks, and great conversation. Awhile back Herder had mentioned that he had a 1974 C160 with the Tecumseh engine. He felt I should have it and give it some care. We also picked up a seat bracket that I REALLY like the look of for Colossus. Got a nice solid set of disc harrows. And a 6 speed transmission with Limited Slip Differential for one of Trina's tractors. A few weeks ago Handy Don sends me a link to an ad for the 1045. He was gracious enough to get it to his house for Trina and store it til we could get out there for it. Saturday morning we arose at 5 and were on the road by a little after 6 am. Stopped in Highland NY enroute to Don's place in Croton on Hudson. Buzzed out to Southington Connecticut for the sleepings. This morning we went to W Warwick RI to visit with RI702 Bill and pick up one of his VERY well made greaseable hitch pins. On the road again up 95 495 93 125 16 25 and Home!! Here's a few pics from the journey... Special thanks to Adam (Herder) for this seemingly tiny token. Trina spied this gem in one of his parts tractors I took a hood from... She says to me "Oh! I can't forget a pic of my Prized Possession!" She hadn't seen a real live vintage Wheelhorse key til now. All told we traveled 735 miles. That was a LOT for me. We're home safe n happy and the trailer's covered over til we need it again or the 1045 gets unloaded for her to dismantle.

-
2 pointsIt was a pretty fair ride for sure. Certainly possible it would happen again too because @Herder has more treasures...

2 pointsStill no shooter bucks showing during the daylight hours. Our 3 day senior doe only season started today. So I filled a doe tag at 7AM this morning. I have been riding the 312H the 1/2 mile to my tree stand so we had a passenger on the trip home.

2 pointsCare package. That reminds me. I've got a couple of hubs to send out to you sometime.... I don't mind the look of a round hood at all but I don't exactly appear "aesthetically pleasing" on the small tractors.

2 pointsClean the contacts on your points and set them to.020. I don't know how many times I've forgotten that points oxidize just sitting there. 400 grit sandpaper does a great job. Even new points can be oxidized.
-
2 pointsMan I keep telling her that but she just don't bite. I was after her for a year or two to get an 854 or similar. Nothing. I showed her @Rob J.'s 1045 and that clicked I guess.... Now we need to work on getting her a 953 because of @Sparky convincing her to take his own for a ride.

2 points2K paints/coatings require a chemical reaction for hardening. Hardeners are usually isocyanates that combine with the base paint to form very durable coatings.
-
2 pointsAre you looking or selling? I myself wouldn’t pay close to that. I’m not saying it’s overpriced, but it’s hard to say what is rebuilt. Taken apart and painted? Not rebuilt. Rebushed, refurbished, all clean and tight? Rebuilt.

2 pointsWe don't allow demons here... but I'll be sure to take video if BBT's head starts spinning... Or vice versa. 👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻

2 pointsOK Eb ... not to jinx things here but couple of those shots, which we appreciate BTW, remind me of a certain other crib...

2 pointsGlad I wasn’t the only one rustling this week. I drove from NC to Pa just north of the big show fairgrounds to pick up my treasures. Way to much driving but the views were spectacular.
