I think the pictures, for the most part, tell the story. Other then the grinder the total cost was $10 and that was for the 2 knobs. The angle is fixed at 33 degrees. It can be reversed for left hand blades. I also set a stop clamp behind the sliding block so I start grinding at the same place everytime. There is an aluminum angle on the front side of the blade hold too so the wood is protected from the vice. Note the notch in the bottom of the blade holder that fits in the vice so its held more securely. The threaded 5/16" rod is threaded into the grinder almost all the way so the grinder can pivot on the rod. 1 - 1 of 1 Posts

Driving down the street today and saw this. I have driven down this street countless times in the last 35 years, but have never seen this out before. The owner says he just got it back from the guy that rebuilt it, and it is beautiful. Hydrostatic, 2 speed trans. Kohler K482 motor. Owner says it will cruise at 20 mph. I have never seen one up close and personal before.

Interesting topic. I'll throw a couple in here. I have a few sub-collections in my overall collection. This is my "accidental collection" Accidental because I never had any intention of owning any of the pewter colored GT series tractors... then in the matter of about 3 months managed to find and acquire three brothers from the 1984 line... GT-1100 with Ark loader (and K341 repower), GT-1600 with original Briggs twin GT-1800 with original Briggs twin, 48" deck and power-flow bagger the 1100 and 1800 are here to stay for a while, but the 1600 could be available if anyone is interested. and this is my "Non-deck mower collection" a CBR-32 mounted on an RJ-58 a LMR-301 mounted on a Suburban 400 a Bachtold Front Mounted Weed mower on the 633. The Bachtold is NOS, camed from a closed dealer in Iowa. It's scratched and dinged from being mounted on tractors for display, but has never been run) I've added a SMS-50 sickle bar to this too, but am still looking for mounting hardware to put it on my 953. And this would be my "Wheel Horse Farm PTO collection" PTO-66 belly mounted Farm PTO shown mounted on a 1968 Commando 6. 8-3211 Farm PTO shown mounted to a 1968 Raider 9 (which is currently repowered with a K181)

This box will accompany the tongue of a camper trailer. I need to fab the doors, latches and some mounts for the camper. Of course, I can’t weld on the trailer frame so everything will bolt on. I’ve got one set of hinges drilled and chamfered for plug welds.

I use those Tomcat bait blocks in the Tomcat bait holders and I feel like I’m successful at controlling the mouse situation in my shed and around my garage. I did have a mouse get into my truck last year which sits for days at a time. Snap-trapped him and bought more bait holders to be placed under the truck. So far no new invaders…this was my setup. Pair of traps secured to plywood to insure they don’t crawl under the seat if the kill wasn’t instant.

Last weekend when we got home from our trip to Ky., Irked the truck with the travel trailer still attached. When I went to start it up to move the trailer to its parking place, the truck would not crank. Jumped it from our Jeep and it kicked right over. Couple days later, I drove the truck into town to walk the dog and stop at the post office. The truck almost did not start at the post office. Put a battery charger on it that afternoon. Next morning, I checked the volt me get before starting - 10 volts - not good. $180 later this morning and I'm back in business. 7 year old truck with 97,000 miles on the original battery. Guess I can't complain too much. Took the truck on a road trip to visit @Pullstart today. We cut a deal on an equalizer hitch that was in his way, but I have a use for. We traded a few stories and generally had a good discussion.

For those who wanted pics of the Willys. It is a 1955 4WD pickup with the original L6-226 engine and a T-90 3-speed transmission. It has the Warn/Saturn overdrive which allows you to get up to a bit faster (relative) speeds. I bought this in 2007 and just finished it a few months ago. Here was what it looked like when I went to go buy it back in early 2007.

Inside one of the walls of our house there is a piece of plywood fastened between 2 studs. On that piece of plywood is the ground breaking date, date the house was started, the date that piece of plywood was installed in the wall. It also has as much knowledge as I could muster about the history of the property and previous owners.. Last but not least it has the signatures and town of every person that helped me build the house. It should make for an interesting time capsule.

It's getting time to start working on the custom golf cart again I.e. Camp Buggy. I've had alot of thought process changes on this. I'm not looking to go fast 20-25 mph tops maybe. Downhill with a stiff wind to my back. My current thought process is to use a 18.5hp Kohler Magnum opposed twin vert. shaft engine, belt clutch driven to a Tuff Torq K61-A hydro transmission from a Toro Wheel Horse 265H. Transmission would be turned 90degree from conventional use. Matching sprockets on both axles or mount then directly to the 5 lug hubs to drive chain on both ends to sprockets attached to a drive shaft running under or beside the trans to the narrowed Ford rear axle. I'm not sure of the final drive gear ratio for the hydro rear so sprocket size and top speed is currently NA. The idea of using the hydro drive is so the wife can drive it by herself with ease when/if needed Please add input of any kind.

The no name for 1 and forget the other model it's been taken apart and boxed up awhile now picked it up in New hampshire probably almost 2 years ago for a project after another project but it's been either put behind yet another project or replaces by a better project, or accidentally raided for parts at this point I'll know when I go to put it back together.

This is interesting and it looks like I missed out on some excitement by not seeing the original post. I’m not implying, nor should you infer, that your liquid does or doesn’t actually work. I have no idea. But be aware that ascorbic acid is easily decomposed at elevated temperatures, so it’s likely in the 3 hours of cooking that the bulk of it is being converted into much less active acid and other molecules. So you likely end the process with (much) less available vitamin C than you started with in the raw fruit. I did a little googling for what happens if you exceed a maximum recommended daily vitamin C dose and found a couple of legit hits that suggest anything beyond about 1500-2000 mg/day gets excreted in the urine. So even with a concentrated solution there may be an easily reached dosage point of diminishing returns. Not a bad idea to try and get a boost though. Steve

This is not hydrochloroquin, or even anything close to it. Assuming this recipe works, it’s just a form of concentrated vitamin C, which has shown to boost the immune system. The under reference is it helps with Covid, which Steve is correct there isn’t sufficient evidence that it helps, but also no evidence that it doesn't help or is harmful. In my opinion, the mis-use of the word hydro chloroquine, or the term past president does not make a post political, so yes the mods and admins will allow this. But to clarify, this is just a vitamin C solution, not the prescription anti malaria medication claiming to copy. But smoking rat turds should be avoided, not sure if there are studies on that but that can’t be good…

No you don't want to have an angle on the plow you want to have it follow the tractor. You do want a bit of side swing and the purpose of the screws are to limit that swing. there should be a stout plate that hangs over the back so when using the outside holes on the plow the screw have something to run against.

Get some cayenne pepper and spread it around the walls. I don't think it kills them, but a big snort up the nose doesn't help. Or they get it on them and lick it off. It does keep them away. Of course, put it where your dogs and cats can't get to it.
