9 pointsSome people have all the luck. Every year our high school buys, rebuilds, restores, some type of classic car, and sells raffle tickets at different events throughout the school year. The final drawing and give away is held at our local antique festival. This was held this past weekend. Two years ago, I believe it was a Camaro. Last year was a '69 Chevelle. This year, it was a '79 Corvette. I bought several tickets throughout the year myself at different places. But alas, I didn't win. My son in law did though! Now you may consider him a pretty lucky guy, and I suppose he is. Then again, he has to license the Corvette, insure the Corvette, store the Corvette, and maintain the Corvette. While on the other hand, all I have to do is drive the Corvette. Who's the lucky guy now?

9 pointsI managed to take a few pictures. Start off with a few plowing pics. Next a few pics from my walk around the show grounds.

8 pointsThe local female BBT person spent some time repositioning the ramp from the left rear of our new building site area down towards the forest. It was tilted a fair amount and too steep. You can see in the pics just how much she cut off the right side. Using my 18" front tire as a size reference she certainly sliced off at least that 18". Maybe 20. She moved that material slowly and gradually off towards the other side which also took the tilt out of the ramp. And also spread the scraped material downward adding to the bottom area thereby leveling out the grade. The end was at the big boulder on the right. Here you can see it's a good strong 18 to 22 feet past the boulder now.

8 pointsThis same thing happens on dirt bikes. After a good day of riding you end up with a bad case of "monkey butt"

7 pointsWhen we built our house I was owner/builder and the subcontractor who did the backfill and grading work with a track hoe got as close to the foundation as he felt was safe and said he would have his worker come back and do the finish grading by hand. I had the mid mount blade on the 1055 already and proceeded to complete the final grading while he was loading the track hoe. He absolutely fell in love with it and wanted to buy it.

5 pointsI have a tee shirt that the Treasurer gave me years ago. INSTANT A-HOLE JUST ADD ALCOHOL Sadly... I believe it is true! (but then... in reality... I don't need much help!)
-
5 pointsHaven't had time to do anything really other than stripping it down.
-
5 pointsWhy, Kevin why? You're old enough to know better. The older you get the easier it is to get hurt and the slower you heal. Hope you feel better soon.
-
5 pointsYesterday I got the plow partially reassembled and all motion points lubed. Works as @peter lena says like a rifle bolt. Im waiting for the new wear bar before I go the rest of the way. Also got the motor and wiring removed from the B80. Getting close.

5 pointsI'd say it might be Trina's favorite too. She maintains the driveway with it. Flattened out the whole new garden with it. Last night after the ramp was done she went out by the road and re-cut a couple rain runoff ditches the town had put in a few weeks ago. It's quite a tool. @WHGuy413 absolutely recommend getting one. It adds substantial real value to the tractor collection.
-
5 pointsVids worked for me too. Never rode one but sure looks fun aaand a little sketchy at the same time. Would love to own one if they were'nt so stinking rare and thus expensive overhere. About the three wheeled tractor I think you already know what's coming

4 pointsA valid warning that should be well heeded. I've had EXACTLY the same issue. I now stick to known name brands for ignition switches and have advised others to do so as you are today. For a Wheelhorse tractor I try VERY hard to use OEM switches ONLY. 103990 or 103991. For $20 or $25 shipped to my door... Why use anything else?
-
4 pointsA person asked the question... "why do people use intoxicants?" The other person answered.... "because it brings out your personality..." The first person then asked... "but what if you're an A-hole?" Don

4 pointsI learned that I DID go the fastest of the weekend! I also learned those electricamobobs have limits that do not meet my expectations of top speed. Also, they should have wheelie bars on the front of them, and helmets don’t always protect your body parts! I didn’t have a helmet on, though… but my head never touched the ground either.

4 pointsIf Portage is a 10, I would give this one a 7ish this year. Like Jim said though, this show is growing and it has the real-estate to grow. The club is very open to exhibitors suggestions on how to improve things. Fact they try to have a meeting with the exhibitors on Sat to find out what they would like to see for improvement's.
-
4 pointsLots smaller than Portage Kev...but growing. Last year ther were what like 90 tractors. This year 240 something. Dan says lots of tractors but only 5 owners. Did we mention next year is the feature? Big draw for any club is pulls tho which they have. The heavy hitters that travel a good distance with machines that more resemble mini dragsters than GTs. You know twin Gold Wing engines and so forth. They pulled till midnight. They left the eliminator ther in case we wanted to play for fun. That's David Bader Richard... he is a member here but I don't know his handle. I yakked with him quite a bit and he said he paid like 10 bucks for a pile of motorcycle parts at a flea market and threw them all on a tractor just for the halibut. He got his first major award... ... for best display on the mini camper and he stays in the bigger one at shows. Doesn't have to pay camping fees 'cause it's part of his display. His nephew has the awesome Homelite display Dan showed above.

4 pointsThis one is a flail mower. Inside there are blades similar to this. This one is a type of brush hog. Plenty of guarding to protect you from that spinning blade out front.

3 pointsOne thing we know for sure is that Kevin is good at healing. He has healed up from more accidents in the past few years than most of us will have in a lifetime. Taylor has a way with words, love it. That is how I screwed up my back, riding motocross in the early '70 when dirt bikes didn't have much suspension.

3 pointsYes sir that's correct. Lightweight operator. 40 lb of Steel out in front and roughly 110 lb of wheel weights. Chains on turf tires. Standard Wheel Horse Limited Slip Differential..

3 pointsSorry for your loss Don. I know that I’ll die some day. I don’t know when, that’s not part of MY plan. I won’t be negligent to others, but I refuse to live in fear or in a bubble.
-
3 points@fast88pu your rug rat is so fine...I would build it exactly as you did, if I could. And that's my problem, I don't have the skills or talent found in this community. Besides you and others have given me a good excuse to go back to restorations, maybe one more and then just admire all the great Wheel Horses from my EZ chair. Keep up the good work
-
3 pointsAgain, I'll fall back on something I have written here many times. Kevin gained some knowledge in this adventure. By sharing it with the rest of us, he has given us some wisdom. Take it easy and heal well. Oh, I gotta ask, what exactly did you learn here?

3 pointsYes just tons of room ... bonus plow fields. Did they bring that gravel in Dan to improve the roads or just give us something to play on? I took that Simplecity for a couple of passes @squonk and that blade is heavy. Plus hy lift.
-
3 pointsPretty cool. Interesting that nearly everything in that garage is older then the garage itself.
-
3 pointsI don’t own one of these blades but it’s on my wish list….. kinda like most attachments. I do have some experience with one tho. I borrowed one from @Crazywheelhorseman a few years back to grade out and level my large shed that I built off the back of my garage. I ran it on my bronco 14. I thought it worked great! Now to just find one in my price range some day! Funny thing is it popped up on my Facebook memories the other day and I didn’t save the picture.

3 pointsI don't think the pto is the problem. If a bearing in it failed you would not likely turn it by hand and would likely drive all the time with the engine running. Check the front idlers for bearing failure and then check the deck. You have a pulley somewhere the belt can not turn. While the clutch is disengaged, I can spin the clutch freely; and whilst it's engaged, it won't move. This is with the belt off the pulley correct? If so that is normal.

2 pointsWell... I made some progress yesterday afternoon. I had to make a strap for the iggy-coil... which wasn't that hard. The ignition module had to get riveted to the engine top plate... 'cause there wasn't anywhere else to put it... One thing I will say... when you see this engine in person... it is simply gorgeous. I personally can't believe the transformation myself... The only parts I am missing are the ABS sensor which says it should be delivered today. I am also needing to purchase another carburetor now... as well as a regulator (I might purchase that later on after I know that everything on this engine runs and works properly)... I haven't had time to make the bracket for the ABS sensor... or run any wires. I also have to plumb in a flip switch for coil +power. I also have to put the muffler on (I have one in stock)... as well as fab an air filter adapter (I plan to go with a performance filter for cool factor). Sill a long way to go on this one... Don

2 pointsI've had 3 of those graders The first I had on my 704 and had it built as a mid grader and back blade. Sold it to @scottbrucea 2nd one I sold and shipped to Mass. for some good bucks. 3rd on I got with a Roach Coach last year and still have it. Sold my WH grader to @Lane Ranger
