I Re-used old n broken bench seat and made a tale gate out of it.

We've had Wheelhorse tractors here ranging in year from the mid 50s, 58 or 9, early 60s, 66/7/8/9, '70, 73, 74/5/7/8, 86, 87... And now a Black Hood. We've now hit all the body styles. Soooo... It runs and drives. It's rough. It's not likely to stay here. But the price was right. It's probably going to be a donor for several others while I swap some engines around doing rebuilds over the next few months to a year. Also a distinct possibility of the hood being used in some form on Colossus. 8 speed transmission is good. A lot of usable parts including the metal fender pan.

Once again, I look through parts and find this ........ a N.O.S. DW-62 in its original box wrapped in a South Bend Tribune newspaper dated Sunday, June 10, 1962. This part will be slated for my 702 with HY-2 hydraulic lift and the early head light set. Wild Bill in Richmond VA

Just got this International Harvester Cub 185 where I live with it being dirt road and stuff I needed something stronger to plow snow because my horse can’t do it all once it goes over the blade here in the Appalachians of Pennsylvania, picked her up for $2,000 original paint , redone clutch , original books and paperwork and all dude was the original owner and waxed it twice a year , don’t mind my neighbors stuff in the background had her sittin in the bottom of the yard she’s in the garage now.

I've been marshaling at a clubman's rally today. The stage I was at is in a farm yard, right on the Scottish border, below Gretna Green. Photo across the border to Springfield which ajoins Gretna Green It's a large yard and lends itself to an interesting stage around the building. Some photo's of the cars I had to watch below. The cone you can see, they had to drive round twice anticlockwise then head back the way they came, to drive round another once anticlockwise. Then continue to more of the course. Much squealing of tyres and handbrake turns and also some words between driver and navigator when things went wrong. In the farm house garden and in one or two places by buildings, is quite a collection of antique farm implements. Photo's below.

Pepe la pew has been roaming the hood the past few nights. So, I loaded the live trap with a marshmallow peanut butter sandwich last night. This AM we took a ride to the far end of the farm. I was ready to shoot some pics, but when Pepe stuck his nose out of the trap, I must have panicked. This is all I got. He'll probably be back tonight for another MMPB sammy.

It went absolutely wonderful. Many tons of hard work by bunches of people including even the bride and groom. They made a HUGE volume of the food for the event. We get to "try out" a smoker here for awhile. The groom's late step dad was big into food prep and get togethers. He had 2 small smokers and 2 larger ones. They're leaving one of the large ones here for Trina to experiment with. Everyone has since left (some stayed overnight) and most of the cleanup is done. ********* Now to get packed up for a trip North ⬆️

Ed About 20 years ago, as I was pulling into the parking lot at work, I see a co worker pull in behind me, but back up to the tree line of the next property. I asked why he was way over there - he told me he was going to feed the birds. He had 2 live squirrels he had trapped on his property that were causing damage. He let them loose, immediately a large hawk swooped down and caught one. He told me later that the hawk would watch for his truck in the morning ..... Bill

Well,guys, lightning strikes twice. Within two weeks, I found a super nice 314 and just today an original unmolested time capsule of a C160. I told a bit about the 314 before, but that big C is just one that you do not find like that very often. I had been very frustrated with info that kept going away on marketplace and lost track of that C160. Today,it popped up again and was only twenty miles from home. The seller was a super nice guy who got the tractor when a man renting barn space was short if cash to pay his storage and offered the tractor as payment. He had the classic line of it drove fine but it has been parked since 2018. I then asked if he could help me out on the price and he complained about getting so much low ball stuff. He came up with his lowest acceptable price which really got my attention. I told him that I could run a few tests and bring a battery along to see if it has compression enough to fire. We pulled the spark plug in order to crank it for a bit to get oil to the piston. She had a decent spark by grounding the plug, and we replaced it and a bit if carb spray lit it off. The tractor is not home yet, but we will pick it up Monday. Each and every part seems to be original and not messed about. There is a small hole by the discharge on the back of the deck. This one is speaking a language and that language is Patina. I am almost certain that it had never been painted over and should look great with an oiled finish with maybe Almond painted wheels. This is on top of an unexpected purchase of a 314 when I actually went to buy an Electro that seemed a bit tired, do the seller offered me the ready to go 314 for a good value. Both these tractors are rare to find in this nice of condition. If there is any downside, it is obvious to me that for the time being, people are struggling with just having enough to get by with food and fuel prices. Both sellers stated that they just did not get any good offers.At least I gave them their asking price in both cases. You guys will see some pictures shortly. I got covered up with work trying to help a friend turn over a property from a dirty tenant.

I found one in a dealers basement a few years ago. Definitely helps with my vacuum setup and the weight of the loaded buckets of grass clippings.

Picked up this 1960 suburban 400 yesterday from the widow of a collector down in Temperance MI. Today will probably do a survey of all the fluids and lube points and see if I can get it fired up!

Picked up this cast iron front weight bracket today. Need to find the special bolts for the frame, but this will help put some down pressure on the front tires while plowing snow.

Thanks, @daveoman1966 for the update. It makes sense to install 4 roll pins, please keep updating as necessary This model does not have hydraulic lift. Disassemble pump end cap, clean, air dry, remove all gasket materials, clean o-ring surface, clean all check valve, balls, springs. Replace o-rings. Clean and dry charge pump, inspect gerotor (internal and external rotors) assembly for wear and scoring. Replace as required. NOTE: the gerotor set is a matched unit. If charge pump housing is worn or scored, it must be replaced. Check needle bearings, check pump valve plate (both sides) remove any burrs, scratches or foreign material. ( hand lapp both sides. Note: Pump cylinder block is different than Motor cylinder block. Cylinder block and slippers need to be disassembled and cleaned (slippers must stay in original cylinder bores) Tool to disassemble cylinder block is made up from 3/8" X 3"long hex bolt, nut, 3/8 sae washer and a 3/8" i.d. X 15/16 o.d. washer. Compress spring enuff to remove retaining ring. Disassemble: note ( small washer, spring, big washer, retaining ring ) Scratch and burr free, hand lapp with 200 grit, 400 grit. Clean and air dry, light assembly lube assembly in reverse order

I grew up one house away from a farm. One day I was working on my Farmall Super A and the Farmer came over to watch what I was doing. Every bolt I removed got a bit of never-seize on it . Yesterday I was using some on my C-120 and I could still hear his voice saying to me. Jimmy. that stuff will be in your bed tonight you know that don't you, and I laughed like it was just yesterday. But you know that was over 30 years ago and will never forget that moment. Priceless.

With the low humidity and cooler temperatures I finally got a chance to clear all the sheet metal. I used papa patinas wipe on gloss clear coat. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to preserve the patina of their machine. It's very easy to apply with an applicator. It is not cheap though. Just over $100 for a quart with activator , but you do get what you pay for. Now for some eye candy, (tractor porn) lol

Soo long time no post.. i've been busy plugging away at things so I did not take as many pictures as I would have liked. Since i'm a guest at a upcoming harvest-show I have to make sure the tractor is 'presentable'. So to that end I put everything together today to see how it looks so far. Waddaya think?

It is, but I cannot take credit for the originality. As I said, WE all made these up to aid in threaded pull dowel and key removal. The idea came from a rather crusty, for lack of a better word, guy I worked with. He would gladly let you borrow it ONCE, if you asked a second time, he told you that since we BOTH need one, it's time for you to make your own...

When exhaust valves don't seat properly, unburned fuel ends up in the exhaust and burns there. Others might have a better explanation but that has been my experience.

Last Friday I was down by the lake about sunset. A large bird sillowett caught my eye against the orange glow in the west. There was a smaller bird under the large one. The large bird's flight path dropped slightly, then it started flapping its wings to gain altitude. The small bird was gone. As the large bird got closer when it flew by, I could see that it had something in its talons. I think the large bird was an eagle of some sort, maybe even a young bald eagle.

His paintings are like photographs. He will be entering the federal duck stamp contest again. Interesting completion, there is even a movie about it called " million dollar duck " Ray has won NYS duck stamp but never federal one.

I added a second cone to the Harbor Freight tire machine and it helped immensely! I did use the actual tire machine mounting tool though… along with a leather finger!

I'm not going post any pictures or links cause I'm not sure of the rules but one of my very good friends is a very talented artist. He specializes in drawing birds and ducks. If you Google his name Ray Easton or Raymond Easton you can see some of his work and read about some of his awards and accomplishments. He is as good as a friend as he is as an artist.

Yes sir. I have hydraulics added to this tractor, but I have used this same set up with out hydraulics as well.

Woke up some friends today. The 875 and the 1075 had been asleep for a few weeks so I thought I would blow the dust off them and take them for a cruise. The 856 was glad to share some seat time.
