14 pointsThis is my Suburban 400 on the day that I bought it. My friend & I had to pick it up to get it an the trailer because absolutely nothing moved on it any more. It enjoys a much better life now.

13 pointsI just finished my rescue of a tractor that was abandoned out in the woods for more then two decades. I named it " Forsaken" and is now one of my favorite tractors. As a 3 time cancer survivor I wouldn't want anyone to have given up on me.

6 pointsTake a couple minutes to closely inspect the load range and air pressure requirements on your trailer tires. Do this right and save the hassle of what happens in the picture below... This is a C Load Rated tire that was on a trailer with 3 D Load Rated tires. This is in no way shape or form a good idea and in some states is illegal. Whether it is the towed vehicle or towing vehicle the Load Ranges MUST MATCH. Yes. I know it's hot. 🔥 That's all the more reason why you should do this RIGHT NOW. ... Before you use the trailer. Be safe out there people.

6 pointsThis is Beans who we lost in February to a brain tumor. She was 15 and a daddy's girl. The most gentle dog I've ever known. RIP sweetheart. The second pic is the terrorist, speed demon with unfortunate ears. Mama was abused and rescued. Abbey was born in March and the runt of 11 so had to be bottle fed. She just turned 4 months and will no doubt be a cherished family member. She's a nut!

5 pointsHi all! Just wanted to post up a couple pics with the dump cart I redone. Completes the look of the ol 1257!

5 pointsLook at this. 1988 Coachmen Leprechaun. Sitting on a Ford E-350 chassis. 7.5l (460) engine. C-6 auto. 12162 actual 1 owner miles. Never sat outside til now. It will be in the shed when not in use. Hadn't been started since 2016. Put a battery in her? She fired right up. Cleaned the carb on the Onan Emerald1 genset and also fired right up. The genset had 22 actual hrs. Of run time on it. I just did the 4th oil change it has ever had. It needed rear tires. Even though they looked new? 35 year old tires tend to crack. The po put new fronts on in 2016 before he parked it. I put app. 100 miles on it so far and it drives great. Check it out.

5 pointsAbsolutely I was cheap and tried cheap wheels and they broke in a short amount of time. I got OEM Wheel Horse wheels and they are still going strong
-
5 pointsIn most cases you do get what you pay for. I bought some cheapo HF wheels and they lasted one mowing season. The metal was thin and rusted and bent easily. Something like a gauge wheel needs to be beefy. They take a lot of abuse. Not saying to not try TSC or HF , but be aware that the $3.99 specials aren't worth the trouble.

4 points$hit happens.....tires & pressures correct. Dan was pulling his bros camper with all mismatched tires, standard procedure for his bro go figure. and had an incident. Guy should just figure on replacing them every 2-3 years.
-
4 points@Blasterdad thats ok, engine swaps are easy , personally rather have a 12-14-16 single set up , simplified wiring , already thinking of the set up , dreamland , pete
-
4 pointsIn this case it wouldn't be theiving, more like a rescue. Of course offer $50 and see what happens...

3 pointsSo I picked this up at a sale. It was dirt cheap. Wondering if anyone knows the name brand It has a horrible spray can paint job. It is very well built and is HEAVY !!. Fold down top with a lift out tray. Missing the bottom lid for the open compartment. Oldie but a goodie.

3 pointsOn the Lube of the Friction components: When I am wrong, I am wrong,,,and will be the first to admit it. Snoopy11 and Jeff-C175 have brought me around to their way of thinkin'. No reason not llube this mechanism.

3 pointsI build homes for a living & the price of material has tripled in the past couple of years to the point of being ridiculous. Quote is pretty spot on for everything mentioned. That is why I went this route, 20'x20' steel carport kit, $1200.00 You can get them fully enclosed with overhead doors for around $3000.00 You would still have to have the excavating & flatwork done but you would have what you want at a reasonable price. I love mine.

3 pointsNahhh. She doesn't clean up after anyone. She expects people to pick up after themselves like we should be doing. Can't say as I would use Millie for a shelf for anything because that's all flat paint and it attracts dirt dust and oil from a quarter mile away.

3 pointsI often use low range 2nd or 3rd gear when cutting around plantings and other obstructions in the civilized part of the lawn, much easier to control in close places. I cut most of the yard and paths in hi range 1st gear, I've found that mowing in hi 2nd the grass laid down by the front tire won't spring up fast enough for a smooth cut. I'm using a 48 inch deck in next to highest cut height position. I'm retired and not in a hurry...

3 points@skrusins how about a local tractor supply ? or similar ? J/D deck wheels are typically taller , if nothing else , snoop around online with the specs you want , head you in the right direction , pete

3 pointsI've seen some videos on how to fix a certain issue with a car and at the beginning some of them (more or less) say "your responsible if your car crushes you" why isn't it the same for videos with kids.

3 pointsNo Horse theiving now! That would make you just as bad as the person neglecting it... @SylvanLakeWH just beat me to it but yes, that does look like a snowblower next to the house, might be a great find...Would ask about it for sure!
-
3 pointsSomeone else said on here a while back that you could put it in 1st gear low, go in the house, get a cold beverage and when you came back out it only went 10 feet....
-
3 pointsI'd stop walking around it and buy it for 100.00. The bones are all there. I would of made an offer ages ago.

3 pointsDad and I used to do that for garden work. He'd hitch up the trailer and we'd load it with water buckets, fertilizer, whatever was the order of the day, and set the tractor in 1st low and just let it run along the row while we worked. The other thing it was good for, we had a few spots in that yard that would grow a foot a week during the rainy periods. 1st low would mow through anything.

3 pointsI posted these pictures in another thread... but I wanted to explain what I did... So... I painted the rear wheels that were on the 416-8... and swapped those rear wheels with the rears that were on the 800 Special... so now... the 800 Special appears to have a wide rear... and the 416-8 has AG tires on the rear... which I really like/need since the 416-8 will do a bit of work around here... I also painted the front wheels on the 416-8... I ALSO... added the blue to the hood on the 416-8. All I have to do now is paint the engine parts!!! Don

3 pointsThe universal joint pretty much consumed my whole day. It's done but doesn't feel right so tomorrow I will give it a once over for a second time. It was a lot of work just to please my eye. And then I unpacked the 212 Predator to see what lays ahead and was pleased to see it's overall appearance. My priority is to get her working with a front blade pushing dirt to finish my backyard landscape project
