13 pointsI have one that was a loom fixers box at Cannon Mills Co. It was also made back when carpenters took pride in there work. Cannon mills opened Plant 1 in 1908 don't think this box was built after the 20's or 30's. I'm sure it was built in the carpenter shop at the mill. Most of the fixers tools are still in the box three or four hammers have been removed, but I still have them.

10 pointsDon’t post videos of your activities with your children because you promote unsafe practices. Don’t mention your religion because you will offend others. Don’t mention your religion because others may offend and single you out if not worse. Don’t mention your believes because others will attack you for it. Don’t divulge your background or heritage because you will be classified as an outsider to use a non political word. Don’t divulge your political affiliation if you have one because you will be insulted. Don’t wear jewelry in public because you may be mugged. Don’t wear certain colors because they may be gang colors and they will shoot you. Don’t wear a mask because they may say you drank the cool aid Do wear a mask or they will not let you in. Don’t voice radical opinions or you will be labeled a terrorist, a socialist or a communist. Be careful of what you post on your own site because you may be held liable for something . Don’t speak within certain groups be cause you have an accent and they will dislike you. And on and on…….. Perhaps we are not as free as we claim to be. 8 pointsLook out @Pullstart and anyone who may be posting videos of your kids/grandkids using garden tractors. Your video may offend the “factcheckers” at YouTube and be in danger of getting “the axe”. I have had my PeacemakerJack channel for about a decade and it is a place for tractor videos, a few gun videos, etc. I have a couple of videos that have a bunch of hits (for tractor videos) and one that “went viral” but I got this message today which I thought you would find interesting. this video was a simple plowing video of my daughter at 8 years old plowing for the first time at the Buck Creek Plow day on GhostRider. What makes the whole thing so sickening is all of the dangerous videos on that site depicting all kinds of potential harmful activity and yet my kid on a GT driving in first gear turning earth is considered “a dangerous activity that poses a risk…” Why don’t they take down the ENTIRE “Fail Army” channel then? So, if this has started something, they may start removing all of my videos because most of them have kids and machinery because I want my children to grow up with some of the opportunities that I had. what a society we live in where kids can feed on the trash that is found in many video games, TV programs, movies, etc (that’s all considered ok) and yet a kid plowing on GT is “dangerous activity”. Apparently those people need to get out a little more. Here is Claudia, participating in that “dangerous activity”. She looks “really scared” doesn’t she guys! I’ll climb down off my soapbox now but it is yet another case of the influence of backwards thinking in this society in which we now live. Reminds me of a Bible verse, “Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” They don’t know anymore what is good, light, and sweet! I appreciate all of you from this community that still share with me the many traditional values that made this country what it is…

8 pointsWOW! Thank you all for the quick replies and great advice! I bought the lug tires because they can hold a lot more weight than lawn mower tires. But now I understand that they dig in and contribute to the hard steering. Changing to 8" trailer tires & wheels will be the first thing I will do to remedy the issue along with the thrust bearings & washers. I'm not familiar with the reduction steering from a 520 tractor, but that sounds like something I could use - if I can find one. The photo I attached didn't include the counter weight I use with the loader. I also now have dual rear wheels. I fabricated the loader from drawings by P.F. Engineering. I can't say enough great things about this project. Paul with P.F. Engineering gave me support whenever I had a question. I would recommend them to anyone that would want to undergo such a project. As the photo shows, I also fabricated a boom to lift things. Since I took this photo, I added a 12v winch to make it work like a cherry picker. I also modified the way the bucket & boom attaches to the lifting arms. They hook on top with 2 pins on the bottom.

6 pointsAfter I sold my 314-8 (Sold to a good home){Wheel Horse tractors} I threw some of the money at a non-running C-120 which was to be this project. Taking it's place is the round hood I decided not to build in favor of the Black Hood which was Its my thing #5. To avoid confusion the photos are in the order I just described and then a few photos of the new #6. There are a few changes between the old and new round hoods. BTW

6 pointsKinda didn’t want to weigh in on this one. But I will…I suspect the committee that makes decisions about what can or can’t be viewed on YouTube don’t have the slightest idea how to operate a tractor (lawn mower or farm tractor), have never hunted or fished, haven’t gone camping for a week in a tent etc. My money says they are all young people who’s parents hired a lawn service, went to fancy hotels and resorts for vacations, had a car given to them at the age of 16 and it was always repaired/serviced at a shop or dealership. They didn’t work on a farm in the summer or after school trying to make enough cash for a few gallons of gas and to take out your best girl. I had em in my high school…I drove a well worn 1974 Chevy Vega GT that I bought with my own money for $600 while some of the kids had nicer and newer cars than my dad had! This lack of real life experience makes them the worse choice for the decision on YT videos. Just my opinion.

6 pointsIn an effort to save my channel, I’ll be taking a lot of stuff down. They just have to find 2 more videos of kids on tractors before I do. I’m not a South Park guy, but at least they have the ability to speak their mind, in what free country we have left, without sensorship. Yeah, sore subject here. I’m saddened and angry at them for telling me what’s ok and not ok. If they are concerned for my kid’s wellbeing from a predator, I’m well armed and protected. ‘Nuff said before I get in more trouble.

-
5 pointsDecisions, decisions .... While typing, the Holiday Concert episode of South Park flashed in my head, the one where the kids had to be over-the-top Politicall Correct so as not to offend anyone. No mention of Christmsa, Kwanza, Hanukkah, or the like while singing. The kids just stood there and hummed - no words. Well, that offended me!!

5 pointsI suppose the Video Cops would have a major cramp if I posted an old 8 mm home movie of relatives driving back in the early 1960's with the baby sleeping on the package tray under the rear window on their way to the beach....
-
5 pointsI think it has more to do with online child predators than the actual video. Posting pics and videos of kids in this day and age is a bad idea IMHO

4 pointsWell guys... I guess I must have been sleep walking last night... 'cause when I woke up this morning... the tractor was like this... Not really... I spent all day yesterday, last night, and into the morning hours taking it completely apart... sanding, grinding, painting, and putting everything back together. Only thing I didn't get to was painting the rims... and painting motor parts... @kpinnc... you were right... 4 cans of Regal Red wasn't enough... I had to get 2 extra cans. I did have enough primer though... but that's because the cans of primer I got were ginormous... I'm very happy with the way it turned out... especially the hood. I really had to work at that hood to get it right... welding... beating on it... bondo... JB weld... grinding... twisting... BBBBBAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Ya'll may think I am nuts... but there is a dent on the back fender next to the rear right reflector... I actually kept it... even though it would have been easy to fix. I made friends with that little dent over the day yesterday and last night it begged me to let it stay.... so I did... Don

4 pointsYesterday I gave up having the convenience of a hinged hood. It's now on the backburner and maybe an idea will pop in my head, but I'm fine with just holding the hood in place with wing nuts. I added a 1/8 x1.5x3 box tube spacer to raise the seat and the fenders will be braced. No need for a battery so the space was perfect for the flange bearing. This is a real time post so more photos will come when progress is made.

4 pointsAt the moment the C-120 is on hold. Harbor Freight had a sale on the Predator engines so I picked up a 212 for this 312 frame / round hood. I thought I could slap it together in short time. Hopefully I will be pushing dirt by the end of the month.

4 pointsPullStart Stables too has a check against the channel for “Kids on Their Wheelhorse Tractors” where they were driving around in circles in the driveway. One more (that they find) and I’ll be shut down for 1 week, and so on. I even fought their charges and was quickly “put in my place” as far as their beliefs of safety. I should probably just get them a good gaming console and a Grand Theft Auto game set.
-
4 pointsMore progress pics. All trusses went up yesterday. You can see the double trusses at the end with a 4ft space to next truss, this is for my access to attic, all other trusses are 2ft OC. I will build attic stairs and install a floor in the future.

4 pointsThe ignition has nothing to do with the starter. I would be looking into a safety switch that is not working. PTO switch, or clutch switch will keep the starter from engaging.

3 pointsHello all, Tinkered on yet another... Carb job, peeled cover off choke cable--freed it up and lubed it... grease and oil service throughout and threw on a clean 48" deck And on the 7th day God created the perfect garden tractor.... gave it a 48" deck and a 35 cubic inch Kohler single. Then God rested... after he cut the lawn! Lol Tony 20220719_115446.mp4

3 pointsThanks,The chart I remember seeing was a little different, but this one looks to be very clear.I know my 12 automatic is a 73,that's when it came here new.The 14 automatic turns out to be a 74, and my C-160 is a 75.The C came to me when I had lunch one day and read the local ads.I called the number, the owner had bought a house and the tractor was in the garage, came with the house. It was free and I didn't even know it was a Wheelhorse until I got there. All he could tell me was it was red and free. That was well over 20 years ago.I had a seat made, put a muffler on,and ran a new wire to the points in all that time.

3 pointsMy tractors are mine. Though they aren't always 100% how I want them to be, they are close enough. Some are pretty, some are straight up ugly! I think building these machines up how we like them individually is part of what makes this hobby so great.

3 pointsTake your YouTube channel down and switch your videos to Rumble. At least they won't censor stuff like this. I personally don't show my face online. I don't have children, but if I did, I would never post pictures of my children. Too many predators out there. I also wouldn't put it past someone to call CPS on someone over photos and videos like this. Sadly it may be safer to take all your pictures and videos down if there are minors in the picture/video. Sharing photos with close friends via text is safest.

3 points@Achto @Bradshawn agree with you on the automotive fuse block set up , why not install something better ? wiring and faulty connections are a major area of disfunction , , would also add a wiring reroute , and wiring cable wrap , to eliminate chafing / shorting connection areas . while you are doing that , insure / verify a ground connection cable from battery cable ground bolt down point , don't think its grounded , add a wire to the area . use an alligator test clip wire to insure ground function , then hard wire it . only a suggestion . stay grounded , pete

3 pointsnot to mention car accidents, sickness, and life in general. I would hate to see my child die doing something they enjoy. I’m still not going to lock them in a padded room u til they are 18. Sorry… I thought I was done ranting. Guess not.

3 pointsThe function of the seat switch is to kill the engine if you try to leave the seat with the PTO engaged. This function does not effect the starter. Turn the key switch to the start position and see if you have power at the Tan wire coming out of the switch. The Tan wire will then go in to the PTO switch, test to see if power is getting to this point. Next test the Purple wire coming out of the PTO switch. This wire should have power with the key in the start position and the PTO in the off position. The Purple wire will then go to the Clutch switch, test to see that power at this point. Next see if you are getting power to the Lt. Blue wire at the clutch switch. Key in start, PTO off, clutch peddle pushed in. The Lt. Blue wire then goes to the starter solenoid. Next check for power on the Lt. Blue wire on the solenoid. If power is getting all the way to the Lt. Blue wire on the solenoid with the Clutch pushed in, PTO off, & the key in the start position but the starter will not engage. Check solenoid for a good ground. Check battery connections at the solenoid and the battery. Replace solenoid.

3 pointsLaughed out loud at this, as I've had two similar experiences. First in the French Cable Museum on Cape Cod (the US end of a transatlantic telegraph cable). I was explaining how what looked like a six-foot ruler painted on one wall was so that an operator could see large movements of a beam of light reflecting off the tiny movements of a mirror connected to the cable on the opposite side of the room to discern "dots" and "dashes" as well as judge the status of the connection. The docent went off and got a pad and asked me to make a diagram and write down the explanations so he could share it! Then in the London Science Museum demonstrating to a group of school kids how the slide rules on exhibit worked. Multiplication? Division? Logarithms?! The 20-something teacher with them was blown away!
